Because the view from this point can see the whole Lake Bled with the island in the middle of the lake, Bled Castle and the Julian Alps in the background. It is a picture that is often seen on postcards and promotional images for tourism in Slovenia. To get to Ojstrica Viewpoint, you should be physically fit, have sneakers or some hiking shoes because the path has rocks and roots that are a bit difficult to walk on. The sign says that the walk takes about 30 minutes, but we took longer.
