I took my child to Beihai during the winter vacation... I should have listened to the advice 😭 I took my child to Beihai again during the holiday. I used to go there during the summer vacation, but this is my first time going there in the winter ❄️ I didn't expect Beihai to be so suitable for traveling with children in winter. The temperature was warm when we had good weather in January. It was over 20°C during the day, so I only needed to wear a long-sleeved shirt. ~ We stayed at a homestay near the landmark iron ball in Silver Beach. It was only a 3-minute walk to the beach. We didn't have any special expectations for the attractions, so we played freely every day. We got up at 9 am and ordered takeout to our room. We enjoyed the view and breakfast on the balcony. We rode an electric scooter to Qiaogang Style Street to eat and shop. We had fried ice cream and coconut jelly at the 24th Sugar Shop. We had pineapple buns every time we passed by. We randomly chose a Vietnamese restaurant for noodles and spring rolls. Yuexiang Kitchen and Coconut Daikichi were also delicious. There were many cheap clothes, skirts, and slippers. ~ We continued to play after eating and drinking. Beihai is not big, so we could ride the electric scooter freely. We took the seaside train at Qiaogang Beach (photo 9). We went to the niche beach at Ronghe Yintan One (photos 16 and 17). We enjoyed the holiday atmosphere at Building 10 of Guanling Villa (photos 10–14). We also went to Liuxia Village, Zixia Bay, Old Street, Dadunhai, and the mangrove forest... ~ We went back to Silver Beach to dig sand and step on the water in the evening. Although the sky was not clear during the day, there was an orange sunset in the evening 🍊 We watched the fountain light show at Silver Beach at 8 pm. ~ However, we still couldn't be too careless. We ate ice drinks and seafood and played in the sea every day. We wore little clothing when riding the scooter. My elder son started vomiting the next night. He had a headache and stomachache and lay in bed for a day before recovering. He avoided the flu but not gastroenteritis. Listen to the advice and make sure your child wears warm clothes when playing! ‼️
