3-Day, 2-Night Family Trip to Beihai, Guangxi!

After our first stop in Chongzuo, Guangxi, we drove for over three hours to Beihai! We were ready to start our 3-day, 2-night family trip in Beihai! ✨【Itinerary + Attractions】 DAY 1️⃣ ▫️14:00 Beihai Silver Beach. We went directly to the landmark building of Beihai Silver Beach – the "Big Steel Ball" made of tidal steel plastic. 📍Navigate to "Beihai Chenmao Beach Hotel parking lot" to reach the Big Steel Ball directly. ✓ The white sand is so fine that it sparkles! ✓ It is recommended to wear light-colored clothes for better photos. ▫️17:00 No. 66 Seashore Fun Park. ✓ The ground is full of small crabs at low tide! Check the tide table in advance. ✓ Seashore tools are available for rent at the entrance. ▫️19:00 Qiaogang Style Street. 🔥Must-try: No. 24 Sugar Water Shop (CNY 5 for five-ingredient sugar water), Xinji Shrimp Cakes, and Yeye Daji. DAY 2️⃣ ▫️9:00 Liuxia Village. ✓ Check in at the same soda shop that Wang Yibo visited. ✓ A very artistic small village🏡, perfect for taking photos📸 and checking in! ▫️10:30 Zixia Bay. 💡A less-known glass sea! There are a few old sun umbrellas☔ at the entrance where you can sit and let the kids play in the sand and enjoy the sea breeze. You can also go seashore combing. There are few people, so it's great for taking photos! You can also bring a tent⛺ for a picnic, which is super relaxing🥰. ▫️14:00 Beihai Old Street. 📸 Take retro photos of the arcade old street. Entering the old street, you will see buildings full of historical charm. There is a street facing the sea, which is very beautiful for taking photos! Taking photos and enjoying snacks on the old street is a great experience! ✓ After the visit, head straight to Golden Beach to watch the sunset🌇. We caught a super beautiful sunset🌇 on the sea sightseeing boardwalk. DAY 3️⃣ ▫️Play in the sand at Silver Beach + return to Nanning. – 🦐【Beihai Must-Eat Food List】 ❶No. 24 Sugar Water Shop 💰CNY 7 per person (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) 🔥Five-ingredient sugar water (CNY 5), Qingbuliang (CNY 7), must-try! ❷Xianfen Zhijia Main Branch 💰CNY 20/bowl Freshly caught seafood fills the bowl! The soup base is super delicious, with🦐 lots of shrimp! ❸Xinji Shrimp Cakes 💰CNY 5 Featured on CCTV! Crispy shrimp cakes with sweet and sour sauce! We bought a few more at other places later, and they were all delicious. If there is a long queue at Xinji, you can try another one. The small live shrimp🦐 they use are very fresh, but they can be a bit oily after eating too many! ❹Qiaoyue Shijia Vietnamese Rice Noodle Rolls 💰CNY 3/roll Hot and sour sauce + chewy rice skin, perfect👍🏻! ❺Mr. Zhou's Agar-Agar 💰CNY 15 Tastes like bird's nest from the sea! Served with seasonal fruits! Very fresh and refreshing! The season we went wasn't the best time for seafood. We ate at a seafood stall by the road, which was average, so I won't recommend it. There are still many kinds of snacks! 🏡【Accommodation Recommendations】 ✔️For seniors and children, choose near Silver Beach: It's just a short walk to the beach. ✔️For foodies, choose near Qiaogang Style Street: It's very lively, and the snacks are really abundant! 💌Beihai is truly an underrated gem! It's not tiring at all to take parents and children there. There are so many free attractions that you can't visit them all. You can drink three bowls of CNY 5 sugar water every day without feeling the pinch, and there are plenty of free parking🅿️ spaces on the roadside!
