Pay homage to Phra Phuttha Nimit and Luang Pho Thep Mongkhon

🏘 Wat Mai Phiren was established around 1841 (B.E. 2384). Originally named Wat Mai Ban Khao Lam, it was named after the local villagers who made and sold bamboo sticky rice. 🛣 When the Issaraphap Road was constructed passing in front of the temple, and due to its proximity to the Pho Sam Ton intersection, locals began calling it Wat Mai Pho Sam Ton. However, older generations preferred the name Wat Mai Khi Mu, as the temple's original location was home to many wild boars that left droppings everywhere. 🏠 Later, Phra Phiren Thep (Kham Na Ratchasima) and his relatives renovated the temple and renamed it Wat Mai Phiren, reflecting his noble title. Key attractions within the temple include: 🏠 The Ubosot (ordination hall): A brick and mortar structure, renovated for the second time and completed in 2001 (B.E. 2544). Inside, it houses Phra Phuttha Nimit, the principal Buddha image in the Mara Vijaya posture, along with murals depicting Buddhist history. ⛺ The Vihara: Inside, it enshrines Luang Pho Thep Mongkhon, a Buddha image in the Mara Vijaya posture from the Sukhothai period. 🏡 The Prayer Hall: Features concrete pillars, teak wood walls, and flooring, with a triple-gabled roof. 🏕 The Multipurpose Pavilion: A two-story building with a three-tiered roof adorned with decorative elements such as chofahs, bai raka, and hang hong.
