We loved our stay at the Drury Plaza, Downtown Cleveland! The staff was all very nice. Most hotels in this area and price range didn't have a pool or spa, so the swimming area felt like a bonus! It was clean, and very enjoyable. The kick- start they offer was amazing! It was an entire dinner included in the hotel price! PLUS 3 adult beverages per adult staying! They were classic drinks, think cranbery vodka and whiskey and cokes. Breakfast was also delicious! It had a lot more to offer than just the normal hotel continental breakfast. The eating area was super clean and kept up nicely. We walked 5 minutes to the House of Blues for a concert. The walk was pretty strait forward to the Downtown area! The hotel itself was pretty clean. It's a bit out dated (no USB outlets, the plumbing is obviously old, and drained a bit slow, small tvs, old carpet) but it didn't really take away from its old time unique charm with all the marble and lighting. The beds and pillows were super comfy! My son did mention he wished he would have brought a cozy blanket, bc theirs are pretty thin. We would definitely stay in this hotel again if we are in the area! We will also look into staying at different Drury locations when on trips!

Overall was a good experience! Only issue was there is no microwave in your hotel room so when you and your family come back from a nice dinner or just have leftovers in general you have to go to the main lobby where there is only one microwave inside a cabinet for everyone in the hotel to use! Now here’s my real issue….inside that cabinet…not microwave just to be clear…. was a dead roach….we immediately alerted the staff and they were shocked just as we were! Staff said they would handle it so with good faith the next morning my kids were hungry went back down to that same microwave and the roach was still there‼️‼️‼️

The location was perfect to get to local attractions, including the zoo, shopping, and hiking trails. The room and hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and good amenities. We had breakfast elsewhere, as there is no continental breakfast, but that wasn’t a big issue for us. The only negative was that the fan in the bathroom was not functioning - or rather we couldn’t figure out how to turn it on. Otherwise, a good place to stay for a night at a reasonable price.

The service at the hotel was excellent and I loved it. Very nice people and very helpful. I also loved how spacious the room is and how it is set up. I love that you guys have a pool and my fiance and I will be coming back with our kids next time so they can enjoy the pool like we did when we stayed there.

TTamuWas a convenient location and check in was easy. However, there was difficulty with the room keys. I entered the room left my purse and one key in the room went out to my car for luggage - entered at the rear door using the key. However, the key failed to work for my room. Had to go to the desk and have a new set of keys made. This happened again the next day as well, however, that time the on call clerk said it frequently happens when using the rear door. If they know it happens why not fix it or warn the client in advance. This was very stressful.
The room itself was extremely disappointing. It was supposed to sleep 3 adults yet it contained only a queen size bed and a window ledge. No couch, roll away nothing. The sitting area was non existent. Your options were the bed, the window ledge or a straight back wood desk chair. Not at all comfortable. The television was smaller than my computer monitor definately not more than a 24”. Even though all advertisements stated a refrigerator in the room there was not one. Which meant I was unable to keep any cold drinks in my room. The breakfast was an even bigger joke - cold hard boiled eggs were available one day, cold cereal, very limited fruit if you were not there early there was none it was not refilled. Donuts were prepackaged and old. Was not anything available that was at all desirable. I knew there was not a pool or exercise room which I did not expect however, for 100 a night in Delphos, OH I expected more. I had a handicapped room as I have 2 artificial knees and occasionally have difficulity with low toliets and tubs. The room showed handicapped on the exterior door however, the toliet was low and there was not a shower but a tub you had to step into. I spent 3 nights and the only maid service I received was towel replacement - the bed was not made and I do not believe the vaccum was ran. One day I someone had left their pass key in my room along with a roll of wastepaper bags. I took it to the desk and told the clerk I thought #6 would be looking for their keys in the morning. Not a thank or any sense of concern. I entered the lobby at various times of the day and evening and I don't believe I EVER saw anyone sitting at the desk just a sign that read ring bell for service. They were not even in the office directly behind the desk. To say I was disappointed would be putting it mildly I can assure you I will not be returning to this facility or any other Microtel in the future. Stay away it is definetly worth an additional 20-30 to get an indoor pool, hot breakfast, king size bed, comfortable chair as well as an adjustable desk chair with a refrigerator and microwave in your room which you did not get here. Stay in Van Wert at the Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn express.

TTamuTraveling for a death in the family, upon our arrival, which was a little bit past the 3:00PM check in we were informed they were short staffed in housekeeping and a room wasn't yet available and if we were OK with a handicap room, I had no problem because I am disabled . No biggie, we went out for dinner. The problem was we didn't receive a phone call until after 6PM, 3 hours past the time that you could check in and our room was a standard room, clearly not to aid in handicapped people . Had there been a viewing service that evening, it would of been an major issue because we had to put our belongings in another family members room. We looked past that. When we finally got in our room there was like 2 pieces of toilet paper on the roll with no extra rolls available. Again, no biggie, went to the front desk and they took care of it quickly. Day of the funeral, go to take a shower, no body wash. Again, front desk was notified and they took care of it. Our final night, I was woken up by a clock alarm coming from another room that woke me up way to early than the time I had my own alarm set. I wasn't about to go and try to locate this mysterious alarm and have it shut off, but the alarm rang well over 15 to 20 mins. The hot tub was nice to relax, but sand was on the bottom of it, and the pool was extremely cold to me.
I will say the staff that was on sight were very friendly and helpful to the best of their ability considering their lack of people to do required jobs and I did appreciate there was parking for Veterans. If I were traveling just with my wife and children I would of opted for a different hotel, but seeing how this was the location my family decided for all of us to go so we could be together in our time of mourning, it is what it is. I will not be looking into this chain of hotels for a future travel plans.

TTamuI had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience with the front desk staff.
I arrived at the hotel Sunday 01 march around 12:30 PM and politely asked if early check-in was possible. The two women working at the reception told me that no rooms were available until 4:00 PM. I said that was fine and that I would wait in the lobby.
However, while I was waiting, several other guests arrived and they were checked in immediately. It was very clear that rooms were available, which made the situation feel unfair.
Later, I approached the desk again with the same guests who were checking in and said that I had a reservation for today. The receptionist acted as if nothing had happened and looked visibly annoyed.
During check-in, she tried to charge my card again for the reservation, even though my booking had already been fully paid online. When I saw the amount and asked what it was for, she could not clearly explain it. I had to tell her again that the reservation was already paid.
Both receptionists then started checking the system and appeared irritated and nervous in front of other guests. Eventually they explained that there was a security deposit of $50 per day, which I completely understood and agreed with.
However, they attempted to charge the wrong amount again, and I had to question it once more before they finally corrected the charge to the proper deposit amount.
Overall, the situation was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. First I was told to wait until 4 PM while other guests were checked in, and then I had to deal with confusion about charges that should have been clear from the beginning.
The hotel facilities are good, but the front desk service was very disappointing and needs improvement.

TTamuWe had a double bed and a sofa bed. All the bed mattresses were too soft and sank in the middle. The air-conditioner was very noisy and not very cold. The pillows were also too soft.
