Quiet in the noisy, good service, and overall satisfaction.
The room details are very good, and the decoration design is almost a bit relative to the price/performance ratio.
I would say Lub d has the best dorms compared to other hostels I’ve stayed in. The branch I tried in Manila only had half-curtains, but here in Siem Reap each bed has a full curtain, which is great for privacy. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful, making the overall experience even better. Definitely one of the top choices for backpackers and solo travelers.

Lovely staff, good rooms and fantastic location. Reasonable food prices and drinks. Great cocktails. Very clean showers and amenities and water refilling station at ground floor. However, a few things to note.
1) can be quite loud in corridors which you hear in the room
2) there’s a constant humming of services so recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper
3) the pool is huge but some algae which meant backswimmer bugs which bite…once raised they were on it, but we shouldn’t have to raise it. See photos.
4) our room definitely smelt fousty - guess that’s what happens if you have no window.
Overall, totally worth the price paid but as the pool is a huge selling point, I urge them to clean regularly and use strong chlorine.
I am pleasantly stunned by the level of service at this mansion. Throughout my 4 days, 3 nights stay here - my fiance and myself have felt taken care of like we've never experienced before. Service with a smile, attentiveness at a level beyond imagination. Some examples (i) had a mini buffet line line day for breakfast, and I saw the staff taking out some fresh papaya, I told my fiancé to be ready and grab them as it's her favourite, the staff came by and asked if w we'd live some fresh cut papaya and she had it delivered to us. (ii) Had a nice sit down by the pool, a staff came by and offered complimentary honey lemon tea and fresh cut apple (iii) got a birthday cake on late arrival back to the property (iv) they take feedback seriously here - made a pleasant remark regarding the laksa served during breakfast - seemed like the entire crew are aware of it prior to the grand send-off on check out.
I don't think I'd ever find another accomodation that offer services at this level, oh and our room is clean spacious and smell good throughout our stay! I miss all them already, wish to come back again
We are a family of three with a 10-year-old, and we stayed at The Embassy Angkor Resort and Spa for 3 nights. The overall experience was excellent. The room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was very good. There’s a menu to order from, offering everything from spaghetti to Chinese porridge—freshly made, simple, yet delicious. Both my husband and I especially enjoyed the sliced fish porridge.
The hotel spa offers a 1.5-hour hot compress massage at $34++, which we found very worthwhile. The masseuses were professional, and the spa itself was clean with a soothing atmosphere. The hotel also provides complimentary tuk-tuk service to the downtown area, which made getting around the city very convenient.
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money. The only minor drawback was that the hot water supply was not strong enough during peak hours (around 8–9 pm), so we couldn’t fully enjoy the bathtub as the water temperature was too low. Other than that, we had nothing to complain about. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in Siem Reap.
The location is not central. But there’s Tuk Tuk drivers by the entrance and it’s easily booked on apps too. The cleaning service could been improved. Very dusty. The staff is friendly, there’s breakfast from 6h30, it’s 5$, I don’t think it’s worth the money to be honest. The food at the hotel is so so.
First, the space and environment here are very comfortable and pleasant, the rooms are clean and fully equipped, giving me a very relaxing feeling.
However, I have some dissatisfaction with the receptionist's welcome the two receptionists were not very enthusiastic and welcoming.
In return, the staff in other areas such as the dining room, tea room, etc., and especially the manager, are very enthusiastic and friendly. are more interested. are served at the hotel.
Overall, I am still very satisfied with the facilities, space and other staff besides the two female receptionists. The welcome and attitude of the receptionists to bring a better experience to customers.
The whole hotel is so Instagrammable! Every corner looks beautiful.
Room was spacious, bed was comfortable.
It has 2 pools including roof top which is infinity pool.
This is the only hotel that offers two times housekeeping and also snacks during evening housekeeping ! I had banana chips, sweet potato chips and Khmer local dessert. Simply delightful !
Breakfast was splendid with menu to order and buffet spread of pastries, salads and fruits. Spoilt for choice and taste was delicious !
Had a 30mins free massage and the skill was outstanding; felt real good for 30mins.
All hotel personnel was polite and helpful.
Hotel's location is within walking distance (max 15mins) to night market and Hard Rock Cafe or can easily book a Tuk Tuk (USD2) or cheaper via Grab App.
Great place. We rented for 1 night to see Angkor in the morning. We arrived late, around 11 pm. Since we don't know English well, both the owner and his daughter helped us find a common language. We communicated through an online translator. They helped us agree with the taxi driver who was taking us from the border to accept payment in baht. They helped us order dinner through grab. In the morning, they ordered a tuk-tuk for us. We returned to the hotel at 1 pm to order a taxi back to the border. Although check-out was at 12, the owner suggested taking a shower before leaving and ordered a taxi for us himself. Only positive emotions from communication. Huge room. We took a family bungalow. Nice pool. The only downside is that the hot water ran out quickly, apparently there wasn't enough energy to fill the bath. But it's not needed when the cold water coming out of the tap is not icy, and it's so hot outside. The air conditioner also did its job. We slept comfortably. Special respect for the furniture and decoration. Everything is made to last from solid wood. It's like being in an old colonial hotel. I recommend it to everyone. It's worth the money.
A gem of a hotel, small but relaxing swimming pool, great welcoming staff and nice size rooms. The location is a little bit further to the city centre, but an advantage is that it leads to a shorter way to Angkor Wat. Excellent selection of breakfast with western and Khmer options. The only downsides are the mosquitos.

Amazing
CCHAV BophaThe staffs were so friendly and helpful. Room and space quite huge and clean. You can get Cambodian tropical breakfast with delicious taste and also you can get Europe breakfast too. Many choices for you. 🥰
ZZhangyansuanThe room was in line with expectations, similar to the pictures
The pool is large, and the pool room means you can see the pool/walk to the pool door
The service is neither humble nor arrogant. Checking in early will charge more money
Breakfast is 3-4 stars, generally acceptable
JJoelbastedoAnjali was perfect. Quiet, restful, and beautiful. The pool is always shaded by dense foliage so it seemed like we were in the middle of the jungle. The restaurant was amazing, and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange all our tours and activities. We were especially lucky to have Mr. Chhlen drive us around all week in the tuktuk and the van: not only was he kind and knowledgeable, making helpful suggestions for attractions and restaurants we wouldn’t have known about otherwise, but also he was very attentive to our kids and helped keep them safe and entertained when we were out temples and souvenir shops. We highly recommend Anjali and would stay again.
KKSea 14-Star Luxury Hotel for the Backpacker Price of $40/night!
The first thing you notice about Sokha Palace Siem Reap Hotel is just how pretty it is! The architect, painters, decorators and maintenance staff did a fabulous job (see my photos). The second thing you notice is how delicious the huge buffet is – including free espresso drinks. Third, you notice that the rooms are not only nice but that everything works well (aircon, hot water showers, refrigerator, wifi, and cable TV with news channels from a half dozen countries like CNN). Fourth, it is in a quiet location less than 15 minutes from Angkor Wat, and only a $2 tuktuk ride to Pub Street or anywhere else in Siem Reap.
But then you notice the best part: the outstanding hotel staff. For example, the Front Desk Manager Phyrun personally helped me when I could not make my room keycard work, and even brought me a bucket of ice. Originally I booked five nights during Chinese New Year with Trip.com discounts for $39/night, but he gave me a free upgrade from a garden view double with king bed to a pool view room. I liked it so much I wanted to extend, but the best I could find online was $41/night garden view, $51 for pool view. I asked Phyrun if I could get the upgrade again if I bought the $41 online, and he said no – but he smiled and said he would give it to me for $40/night the Khmer rate instead (normally $50 for barangs like me)!
The restaurant had other examples of great staff. Some days the restaurant is overflowing with several hundred guests, other days only a few dozen. Yet they maintain the quality and personal touch from the egg and soup station, to the bountiful buffet, to the waiters and waitresses that clear the tables. The Restaurant Manager Somedy and his Assistant Manager Chhaiya keep it all flowing smoothly. Even on the busiest day, waitress Chanthla took the time to show my Khmer friend’s elderly stepmom the way they fold the napkins. Today the espresso machine was not working for a while, so Chhaiya offered to have a waiter drive over to the sister hotel to bring me lattes. I repeatedly declined, but was very impressed by the excellent customer service attitude.
So the real beauty of this French chateau style hotel is its employees, including very efficient housekeeping and grounds staff. I checked out the “5-Star” Sokha Resort on the other side of its convention center, but did not like it half as much (especially for 70% more per night). Normally I would be afraid to write a review of a hotel that I like so much, but with 456 rooms I don’t have to worry about it being full. Do yourself a favor and stay here when in Siem Reap.

AAnonymous UserOne of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The staff was amazing, especially the girls working at the reception. Every request was taken care of, we were allowed an early check-in and a late check out.
The food of the restaurant have some dishes with fair prices and I also liked their breakfast ( Ps: try their banana vanilla smoothie ;-) ) . The swimming pool side is also very nice, it’s not the biggest I’ve seen but you have enough place to swim and enjoy the water.
The free shuttle to the center is also a good point because the hotel is not really close to pub street, but even booking a grab is cheap.
I recommend 100%
HHumphrey JrThe hotel was pretty nice for the affordable price. The service was good, both receptionists were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. The location was pretty convenient to visit the city center and night markets. There are a lot of bars and restaurants along the street, we really enjoyed that. Our room was on the first floor so it was a bit noisy in the mornings because other guests came to have breakfast at the lobby which was also on the same floor and a few meters from our room. Despite that, everything was very good.
AAnonymous UserI had a great time staying at this hotel. They informed me when I arrive at the lobby that my room will be upgraded for free.😁 it’s not about room upgrade, but I like staffs attitude, various options of breakfast, salt water pool, and view of the garden. Overall review is 9/10.
