So far this is the most expansive room I booked, come with front view of Mt Fuji, room 412. However the Mt Fuji view did not command the price tag because unless you stay in for the whole day to enjoy the view of Mt Fuji. View of Mt Fuji can enjoy from all angle. Best of the hotel is the coffee serve which is the best so far, among dozen of hotels. The welcome drink of soft drink also last till 7pm, which is shorter that most of other hotel. May be I am biased, where the hotel have multiple accolades from Rakuten Travel, catering to a lot of local Japanese clients. The public bath also not great, where I have experience much better and real onsen at Ariman Onsen area. Area of improvement: 1. In the level one inner bath, there is a cover for the exhaust fan and is not mounted back after maintenance. 2. At the fifth level bath, there is one washing cubicle just besides the bath with no cover to prevent the person showering water into the bath.
Travelled by express bus from Tokyo, super convenient as bus stop is in the hotel car park. Friendly front staff who spoke English, quick check in process, super nice location with a cute street with shops adjacent. Breakfast was standard, fantastic view of Fuji from restaurant and room. Nice Italian restaurant on ground floor, open long hours. Room was comfortable and had everything needed. If you enjoy roller coasters, then the Fuji-Q park will be a good visit. Free shuttle to the village with the lakes and cable car to view Mt Fuji, although it’s a short 30 minute walk. Very enjoyable one night stay.
We chose this hotel primarily for its fantastic location right next to Fuji-Q Highland – it's only a 5-minute walk away. The overall environment was very pleasant, and we happened to get a mountain view room, which was a nice bonus. The room itself was a decent size, allowing us to comfortably spread out our luggage, unlike the smaller rooms often found in city areas. The rooftop bath was a wonderful feature and contributed to a great overall experience. There's a convenience store nearby, though you'll need to walk a bit to get there. It's also conveniently situated within a 7-8 minute walk of both bus and train stations. All in all, this is an excellent choice, and I highly recommend it for anyone planning to visit Fuji-Q!
This hotel offers incredible value for money. Its location near Kawaguchiko Bridge is fantastic – it's just a short stroll away, and from there, you can capture stunning reflections of Mount Fuji. You'll find plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores in the immediate vicinity.
For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese and Western options, and the curry is especially delicious.
While the rooms are on the smaller side (a 24-inch suitcase might not fully open), they are thoughtfully designed and fully equipped with everything you need.
The absolute best part is the complimentary shuttle bus! It runs frequently between the hotel and Kawaguchiko Station throughout the day. What's even better is that you can pre-book a shuttle to Mishima Station a day in advance – truly an amazing perk. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kawaguchiko.
We stayed for one night in Bettei Rin Japanese style room with mountain view and dinner.
The Japanese lady at the reception was friendly and helpful.
There weren’t many shops and restaurants nearby so you might have to take a bus to go around. The bus stop is just next to the hotel. The hotel sells some snacks and cup noodles but I do recommend to buy snacks from minimart near the train station to the hotel.
The room has a large window for the impressive lake and fuji view. Even though it was cloudy and raining lightly a whole day, we enjoyed free onsen very much! There are an indoor bath in the 7th floor and an outdoor rooftop bath. We haven’t tried the rooftop one.
The dinner was good. Fresh, have some variety, sufficient portion for us. The dining room service was great and welcoming.
After checking out, we went to the train station by the hotel’s free shuttle service.
Although Mount Fuji is visible from the window, the weather during my stay was quite poor, which was a real pity. The hotel building was originally a corporate guesthouse for Toyota, featuring a more traditional Japanese onsen ryokan design. The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the onsen baths are also of a classic style. The Chinese owner is very welcoming and hospitable. I highly recommend renting the hotel's bicycles and spending half a day cycling around Lake Yamanaka. The room photos in the description are true to life, accurately reflecting what you'll find. The accompanying photos are casual shots I took while circling the lake.
Overall a great location. Well designed rooms. , can see the lake and Mount Fuji . Just that it was the only
Hotel I have ever been asked to pay 1500yen per night for my 3 year old baby…..
Cleanliness 10/10
The wet and dry area of the bathroom are separate. Everyday they will clean the room unless you decline the cleaning service.
Location 10/10
The area is secluded, the place is very private. For someone who doesn’t like crowded places and love peace and quiet, this place is for you. Plus it has a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. It just so sad we only stayed 3days and 2nights, we checked-in late on our first day when Mt. Fuji showed up. We were busy looking for a place to eat since the hotel restaurant was already fully booked for dinner. The next day it rained and Mt. Fuji doesn’t show up until the day we left 😞
I suggest booking early if you want to eat dinner at the hotel since the nearest restaurant is already at the foot of the mountain which is 5-10minutes by car, and around 20-30minutes walk. The hotel provides free shuttle going down until 5:30pm only while until 8:00pm for picking up on yamanakako bus stop. For someone who loves to walk while enjoying the view, it really doesn’t matter but it tends to be dark and might be dangerous to walk at night time since it’s in the mountain side.
Overall, I love the location, you won’t actually want to go out when you are in this resort. It has everything you need except hair conditioner 😅
Service 10/10
The staffs are really friendly and easy to talk with. All our requests were granted except booking dinner on our first night since we arrived late, though, the staff is very helpful to give us recommendations where to eat and helping us to book a shuttle. On the day of our check-out, the staff didn’t understand that we reserved the shuttle later that day to go out on the bus stop, but he immediately resolved it without arguing.
Amenities 10/10
Amenities is complete but we haven’t used that since some of our members have tattoos and cannot use the sauna and onsen. While some of us are reserved and not used to being naked on the open 😂
Anyway, the rooms are spacious and we had a comfortable stay. We would definitely book this hotel again when we want to stay on a place with the view of Mt. Fuji. And we would love to recommend this place to our friends.
Excellent location. Good view. Good Service. Great food. Welcome bar. Great sauna. The best hotel among others in Kawaguchiko. But need to book at least 3 months unless you’re lucky like me has somebody cancelled booking.
Our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed the onsen bath though it was man-made spring water. The Japanese breakfast was good too. Unfortunately the Mount Fuji was blocked by clouds during the rainy season. I would recommend the hotel to add a guest laundry room and more wall hooks for hanging clothes in the room. Thank You.

Very Good
OOnsiriJapanese style hotel. A bit old and outdated but I think it's charming with Tatami, futon and closet like where Doraemon sleep.
If you arrive at station after 3 pm you can call hotel for free pick up service, just 10-15 mins then they're there.
We've got a room at 10th floor so bit of a walk from main building to our room but it's fine there, great view of Fuji and lake.
Room were nice in Japanese style like I ever read in manga.
Our rate were breakfast and dinner included. Then they arranged for you as the time you prefer. Excellent food and super good service! Even they speak 99% only Japanese but service is extraordinary.
Don't miss the onsen too, cool experience to take a bath with a view.
They also have shuttle service to train station , just ask reception ,free of charge.

YYI QUANBooked 2 rooms for 4 and was picked up by a friendly driver at kawaguchiko station. The room was sufficient for two but with big luggages could make it a little bit squeezy. Had a public onsen equipped with many amenities to make one feel fresh.
Breakfast buffet was good with a decent variety for food. They also sell dinner buffet which is definitely worth a try.
Location was it is right next to lake kawaguchiko with a nice view of Fuji (if it's visible).
However to travel to other attractions like fujiq and oshino hakkai is a fair distance, but they offer a morning shuttle service to the station and a evening shuttle service back to the hotel which is very much appreciated
GGuest UserThe hotel is nestled in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area. We stayed 3 nights in a room facing the lake with a magnificent view of Fuji-san. A van provides shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station. The restaurant is not operational hence we either ate outside or bought food back from Lawson/7-11. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and there were Mandarin-speaking staff. We miss it very much even though we are now in Hoshino Amoriya, which speaks a lot about the Kumonoue Fuji!

SSor Yi MingPlace is close to ropeway bus stop. however, it can be a challange to carry your luggage up the hill slope which is share with cars and visitors to the ropeway.
smoking room doesnt smell smoky as they provide purifier.. but the hallway lead to the room are very smoky in smell. just has to bare with it.
once enter, required to change show for their slippers, proceed to check in, there are foreign staffs that can speak some english to help with check in
if you check in between 3 to 5pm, there are free flow of snacks (popcorns, meatbun, mugi cha) and alcohols ( lemon sour and asahi beer)
once check in u can go for onsen to relax. not mandate to wear yukata. but feel free to do so for the immersion.
the room is dated, like stuck in the 90s or early 2000s. toilet is seperate from bath.. frankly speaking its better to bath at the onsen if you dont mind ***** infront of strangers n stared by japanese guests to see if u make any mistake ( they want you to be clean in every nook and cany) as they are in the onsen
has sauna but quite small. hover 82 degree c
has old school water spray jet which u need to control manually on all 3 sides.. good luck to do it fast during cold days.
basic amendities at the onsen area.. just hair dryer, fan and thats all
bed n pillow quite soft... pillow are small but u can get more from reception.
great view of the lake from hotel room and dining area.
breakfast is ok. everyday similar menu.. buffet style breakfast.. fish, asa curry, breads, minced marinated sashimi don, corn soup and miso soups. free flow coffee, soft drinks and limited selection of fruits.
dinner is ok, buffet style but 90 min.. need to info counter what is your prefered time slot. i recommend choose dinner... cuase it is quite a distance to the bus station for food.. and the queue are horrendous but the food are nice there tho, u can even admire mt fuji.
heard the dinner theme is based on months or seasons.

AAshleyLovely property in a great location. You’re slightly more off of the beaten track but the tourist bus stop is right out front of the hotel. Great being right by the lake. Amazing room, massive for just me. There’s no shower in the room just a toilet but the onsen was lovely and you can shower in there. Older property also be aware those with accessibility needs the hotel is up quite a steep slope/numerous stairs and then when inside there’s no lift so I had to carry my luggage up and anyone with mobility issues would struggle as I believe all the rooms are on the first floor and that’s after tackling the way up to the hotel. Staff were lovely, can’t comment on dinner or breakfast but a great traditional ryokan stay.
GGuest UserThe scenery outside the hotel is very beautiful. There is a Family Mart next to it where you can buy food. The hotel dinner is highly recommended. The boss speaks Chinese and communication is very convenient. Although there is no hotel connection, it is very suitable for self-driving tours. You can park in front of the hotel
NNaqueyaFor some reason I was not sent a QR Code to my email to check in. I was sent a pin number which was not necessary or utilized. We arrived at the villa several hours early and called to see if we could check in early, they apparently have a strict after 3pm check-in. We found a place and paid to store our luggage and then came back to the villa at 3pm. Again, still had not received the QR Code. Called again, was hung up on. Called back, was told it would take 10 minutes. Called back and was asked for my email, was put on hold then was asked for my email again (which was already provided at booking).
Then was asked to send them an email, they didn't get it and then was asked to send to personal icloud email. They finally found my email and sent the QR Code to me at close to 4pm which was an hour after check-in and we had to stand out in the sun the entire time. This was so frustrating and ridiculous. My email address was in the reservation, why it took so long is crazy. The process needs to be updated so this doesn't happen to other people.
There was a huge spider above the TV in the corner, we got rid of it but it was creepy.
The view from the villa was great!
The beds were nice!
Loved the double showers! The body sponges are so clever and left our skin feeling smoothe!
The clothes drying was very innovative and did work effectively, needed to turn the heater on twice to get the clothes dry.
Towel rack on the wall was broken on the right side, the rod wouldn't stay in.
The one pot in the kitchen was burnt on the bottom inside, we tried to clean it to use it but could not. We did use the grill to make dinner and it was a wonderful touch!
