My husband and I spent two nights at this quaint hotel and we loved it!!!! We stayed at the Nelson Room. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable as well! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast both mornings. The staff was extremely friendly and made a point of remembering you!!! The location was ideal. We did not eat dinner there so I can’t comment on this but I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Winchester!!!

Disappointed… I’ve visited the Wykeham Arms many times in my life, for the past nearly thirty years… No longer local, and making a special trip to Winchester to show my children (aged 11 and 15) the sights of the beautiful city, we decided to stop for a drink in the Wykeham Arms… it wasn’t busy and we found a table out the back. Went to the bar, waited, chose drinks - to be told very bluntly that we had to leave due to having a young child (our 11 year old!!!). Perhaps if we had been told prior to finding a seat/waiting at the bar etc, it may not have felt so bad - but to be told fairly rudely to leave was not only disappointing but actually fairly embarrassing and uncalled for. Don’t bother choosing this place for a drink with your children - you won’t be welcome!

I don’t often eat at the Wykeham arms. It has always been the perfect place to read the paper, cosy by the fire, paint or talk to lovely random strangers. I had the beef on crumpet. I wish there was more, It was delicious. It was paired with a lovely glass of wine. It’s the Perfect Friday after work place to pop in. The school desks always a favourite.

Lovely evening in a traditional setting in Winchester. Not so many of these real genuine old pubs around these days but this one is a delight. Only stopped for beers so can’t comment on food but very nice cosy little location with great ambiance.

Lovely, small hotel right in the centre of Winchester, near the Cathedral. I particularly liked the great value solo room. Often if you are travelling solo you pay almost as much a couple. However, the Wykeham Arms offers good value single rooms. The room was comfortable and I liked the fact it included a complimentary pint of beer! Breakfast was excellent. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant if you want to dine there. Thoroughly recommended.

Great food. Lovely staff. Clean and good value. Location was superb. We were late for breakfast but they opened up anyway. The pub has a fabulous feel to it. Food was exceptional. Parking available. Everything was positive. Great stay. That’s the lot

A family lunch - food quality and presentation very good backed up by attentive service. Overall, very good experience and would be pleased to return when visiting Winchester in the future. Only ****** is the current vogue of automatically adding on a 12.5% service charge.

This is a lovely B&B pub. The room and breakfast was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It’s also a great pub with wonderful food as well. It’s ideally place for exploring Winchester by foot and l would definitely recommend it.

We had an enjoyable family meal at this lovely pub. All the meals were delicious, except the crab linguini, I wouldn't recommend this on the menu. The pub has a lovely feel about it and the staff were so friendly. It's a busy place and you need to book, which is always a good sign.
