朋友的房間挺好的，三人間很温馨，服務也很好，我這間是給了最頂上這個閣樓，有點小，玻璃也不乾淨了，有點冷需要開電暖氣。兩個阿姨自己，前台和做早餐都是她們，很熱情。下次來會考慮，同價位沒有更好的就還會住

Liked : Went for an overnight visit with my sister. Central Whitley Bay location near to Spanish City. A local supermarket just around the corner. The owner was welcoming with our two little dogs. Room size was good. Heating wasn’t on although there was an oil heater in the room. Had a fridge, a kettle and cups with a few coffee, biscuits and tea. There was an iron and hairdryer which we didn’t use but would be welcome for guests. The room decor was modern but looked a bit unfinished in parts sadly making the overall appearance lacking in care. Tv good size for a family room. 2 single beds and a double would accommodate a family. We didnt try the shower but it looked in relatively new condition. We didn’t try it as it was narrow. Comfy beds. Nice breakfast selection and a freshly cooked poached egg was a nice touch. Disliked : We had some valid safety concerns. The TV cable and plug were worn exposing wires. There was a wooden unit which was a wobbly and shaky and was not attached to the wall. This had a kettle on it and an iron sitting precariously on the top section which could easily fall onto someone’s head causing injury. There was also a very dirty looking ( probable ) soil pipe in the room which was visibly exposed. There were no fire instructions available for guests and no opening windows for fire escape, although we accepted that we were in the ground floor. The shutters on the windows were attractive but as they were not able to be shut on the top levels this meant that light from the cars passing at night were disturbing and kept us awake. There were no curtains to pull across. I suspect in winter this room would also be cold. On Tuesdays most nearby places get a meal and drink were closed. Doubly difficult for folks with dogs. We eventually sat outside a local bar which served meals outside. The meal was delicious but it was very cold to be sitting outside after 6pm. Tynemouth much more dog friendly.

Friendly staff and a nice breakfast on the morning. Close by to the play house and relish coffee shop we wanted to go to. Everything was in walking distance and easy to find. However in the room we did find used shower gels from the previous occupant, this didn't ruin our experience at all. I would stay again if ever we popped back to the play house. Thank you for everything.

My husband and I have just returned from a 5 night stay with Mariea. She is a wonderful host and goes out of her way to make your stay memorable, with a wonderful breakfast choice, including burritos with home made salsa, highly recommended. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and our Jack Russell thoroughly enjoyed the fuss he had made of him. The location is perfect for all the amenities, and is on an exceptionally clean promenade, with great sea views and walks. Highly recommended and well worth a visit

We always stay at Cara Guesthouse the night before we travel with the ferry to the Netherlands. We’ve stayed here for approximately six times, because it’s the best place in the Tynemouth region! Mariea is the best host and makes the loveliest breakfast (try the Burrito breakfast roll, it’s awesome!) and Ann, who helps with the breakfast, has great banter! We’ve stayed in several rooms and they are all very clean and well maintained. We especially adore room 2, which is lovely decorated and has a great view to the sea and Spanish City. We’ve already booked again for July!

I chose the Cara Guesthouse because I wanted all to be good given the price. My stay was good but if i nit picked I could list quite a few things not quite but to scratch. That said I could not have beren more welcome

The Cara Guesthouse is a little Gem in Whitley Bay right on the seafront and you can watch the sunrise every day. The ground floor room we had was en-suite which was good and we had a large TV and a fridge and plenty of Tea and Coffee. Bed was comfortable with good pillows and enough towels. Breakfast was interesting not only the standard fair but things like pancakes and burritos as well, quirky but nice. Staff brilliant nothing to much trouble. Situated close to the towns playhouse theatre and only a short walk to town. No parking available at the property but less than a hundred yards along from the property is a large car park. The place was really really nice and contributed greatly to my wife and I having a brilliant weekend away

Just had a night at this super b&b ,we had the large family size room overlooking the links and sea ,very light and sunny room with 2 armchairs to sit by the window ,hospitality tray,iron,hairdryer,big TV , and a good shower . This is a very handy location for the playhouse (a few minutes walk) carparks nearby , Spanish city just over the road and a very nice real ale bar ,also a short walk across the links to the sea . The breakfast was really nice ,friendly staff to look after us ,my hubby and me shared our breakfast burritos and pancakes with syrup, we didn't get hungry again until 4pm (we ate at just after 8am !) We will definitely stay here again when we want to see another gig at the playhouse .

Pet friendly and room was tidy and clean. Basic facilities. Breakfast was ok,the staff were polite. Given two keys for access to room and front door location was great for the area. Beach directly across from the guesthouse, Spanish city and other restaurants, pubs entertainment a 5/10 minutes walk. Bus stop across the road to other area's. Only negative point was trying to check in doorbell wasn't working, so we had to phone several numbers to finally get the on site manager.
