Lenca World

This is traditional island housing. You are in the jungle and, from a noise perspective, it feels like tent camping. You will hear lizards, birds, and animal noises throughout the night. The TV from the bar area sounded like it was in our room. They are doing construction and started at daylight (too early for me). The construction is a temporary issue, but if you are booking soon, you should check with them if you are concerned. During our stay, only one person we talked to could speak English. I had to use a translator app on my phone, and I asked for help with a taxi and was told to wait by the road and wave one down, which worked fine. The water park area is currently in disrepair. I would not travel with little ones and expect them to be satisfied. This place will work great for people who have lots of activities planned and just need a place to sleep, assuming you are a heavy sleeper (my daughter said it was fine), or bring earplugs. The positives: Wi-Fi coverage, jungle feel (if that is what you want), comfortable beds with very soft sheets (you only get a sheet, no blankets), and budget price.

Ripped pillow cases, loud noises, like someone through a party and they left at 4:30am yelling and loud music..... pool was dirty...noone ever at the reservation desk.

A wonderful surprise for an economical stay. Pair this with a wonderful welcome by José and unexpected airconditioning and how could we be anything but happy?!

Great hotel and they have good prices, our family loved it! The accommodations at Lenca World Roatan are simply breathtaking. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and impeccably clean. The attention to detail in the decor and furnishings creates a luxurious and inviting a**osphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep.

Clean rooms/bathrooms. A/C and wifi worked well. Felt very safe. The main grounds are clean and every day someone was working to improve the exterior. My only complaint is not having any glass in windows (just heavy screens and curtains) it made for some noisy nights (traffic noise) and early mornings with noise from other visitors waking us.

I don't like writing bad reviews but feel I have to in this case. I traveled with my 14 year old son, who handled the disappoin**ent of this hotel well. There was a family with 2 young kids there and I felt badly for them. The "theme park" was a nigh**are. Not only was there no theme, but the animals were in disrepair and only 1 pool was open. There were many areas that were dangerously slippery if you walked up them. Also areas where there were pieces of metal and other scraps laying around. The pool looked murky and unclean. There was no food available there, and the location is a $15 cab ride each way from restaurants. There were no shows put on/no entertainment. The rooms were very basic and smelled of mildew as there are no windows on most rooms, only screens. Some rooms doors didn't lock. I am familiar with 3 of the rooms as we had to move 3 times in our 6 day stay. If you are looking for a "family friendly" place, this is NOT IT!! No swimming, no food no way! Please close your hotel and do the needed repairs and updates before you have families come from across the world to stay only to ruin their vacation!

The hotel was convenient for my trip. Just keep in mind that the hotel only serves breakfast upon request only and you will need to call or secure means of transportation.

Ame este lugar! La experiencia es única, todo muy aseado y sobre todo la calidad de servicio es lo que destaca. Disfrutamos mucho el lugar esta muy cerca de la playa, además hay para rentar autos, mi familia y yo estamos encantados de este lugar estaremos prontos por allá...
