Hotel Zena

Great service, the room was very stylish yet comfortable. All of the employees were very nice and helpful.

I had a very comfortable one night stay. The decor was beautiful and the location was convenient for my trip. The downside was ordering room service. I was told that they don't take pre-orders for breakfast, which was surprising. Posted hours for breakfast were inconsistent (some said 6:30 am and others said 7 am). I placed my order online when the website finally went live shortly after 7, which I thought would be enough time before my 9 am meeting a few blocks away (the website said to allow 30 minutes for processing and delivery). 30 minutes came and went, and after an hour of waiting, I called the front desk to check on my order. After being on hold for a few moments, the person asked what my order was, and then asked how I wanted my eggs. This suggested that my order had not been made at that point so I asked to cancel my order and for the charges to be removed from my account (which they did) so I wouldn't be late for my meeting. Maybe I should have checked on my order after waiting 30 minutes and I would have received food before I had to check out and leave? Who knows if that would have changed anything but it's odd that they don't have a system for taking breakfast pre-orders in 2024 (either online or through a door hanger). Not sure if this would prevent me from staying there again, but it was disappointing, especially because I had a food/beverage credit that I was unable to use because my french toast and eggs weren't prepared an hour after I placed my order.

It was a great quick gateway. The evening manager, receptionist and vale were super friendly and helpful.

This is my 4th time at Zena and it’s wonderful every time (although this time I sadly did not get my usual surprise room upgrade). The staff was great and Ezekiel was particularly welcoming and attentive.

Hotel Zen is truly a gem in DC. Beautiful decor with the ambiance of girl power. I loved everything about this hotel. The gorgeous and thoughtful art installations, modern furniture, and excellent hospitality and service were all on point. My husband and I can’t wait to come back in the summer to test out the rooftop pool. Excellent location!

Cool place! The front desk staff was super friendly, and the overall vibe is very warm and welcoming. It’s a combined hotel/art gallery, so there were interesting pieces everywhere. The lobby and restaurant bar was lively and had fun music playing, but the guest rooms were quiet and spacious. I loved my room. Comfy bed, nice robes, and a gorgeous bathroom with a one-of-a-kind shower. I would definitely return.

The hotel is modern, clean, and in a great location. The bed was comfortable and the room quite nice! I would stay again. Minuses: room service did not do a good job (long wait, order was wrong) and the bathroom sink had no water pressure. That being said, the food service staff was very friendly. Front desk staff was so so. Overall, a very good stay... just not excellent.
