We spent 5 days at this St. Regis Vommuli and it was outstanding. Detail to customer service was beyond anything we have ever experienced in our travels. Our Butler Haroon was outstanding and you can tell he and his room steward Asif take pride in their work. I can't go on enough about how they attended to us for every detail of our trip. Kim had hurt her back a day before the trip and the first couple days were a little slow for her. Haroon suggested a spa trea**ent of Wetsu (no sure of spelling) plus we had a regular spa trea**ent planned. It all helped and Kim was much better. Haroon and Asif made sure to celebrate my 60th Birthday as well with treats and room decoration. Haroon knew I was a retired from Deputy Sheriff and added a touch to the Birthday Wishes they made in the bathtub. The resort total staff makes you feel like family and are very friendly and welcoming and take care of your every need. Sinan one of the waiters at Alba restaurant on our final day at breakfast just before we were to get up and leave brought out a desert with chocolate writing on the plate saying see you soon as a way of thanking us and welcoming us back soon. What a classy touch. The food everyday was outstanding and plenty of it. If you go, make sure to do the outside on the beach Indian Ocean night. More food and Deserts than you can eat. Amazing how they set this beautiful night up on the beach with tables, lighting and great service. Of course the views are outstanding. As for the spa, all we can say is WOW outstanding spa. Elvira and Vadee were excellent and you won't be disappointed. I see why their Spa and services are rated so highly. St. Regis Maldives will make this a trip you won't forget and will want to come back to. I would like to give them credit for all the communication ahead of the trip to help make your trip arrival and departure as easy as can be. We used the CIP service at Male' Velana airport. They met us at the bottom of the steps and quickly took us to an awaiting vehicle and to a private immigration area then quickly to their private lounge and provided food and drinks while they took care of your immigartion and luggage. Once they secured and cleared that a St. Regis Bulter came and took us straight over with our luggage in a private van to the Seaport and checked us in and stayed with us until our departure. What a smooth and seamless process. We were going to be taken to the St. Regis Private lounge but our sea plane was ready for us ahead so that was good for a quick start. Upon arrival at St. Regis the staff and our butler was awaiting the 14 guests on the plane at the dock waving and welcoming us to the island. Upon departure it was the same thing only they received us from the seaplanes and took us straight to the St. Regis lounge where we were offered more food and drinks until they took us to the airport and were received by the CIP staff who took care of us u

What makes the St. Regis so special is the Butler Service. Abanoub was our butler and by far, he was the BEST we ever had. We stayed 5 nights. 1. He was super attentive to our needs, there was literally no delays (we wondered, does this guy ever sleep, LOL) 2. Everything we asked for came with professional service and perfection. 3. Abanoub made our trip the most memorable, ever, with his personalized service. One area I think the resort can work on is the food quality. 1. Buffet had challenges, having consistent quality, especially with the dishes you ordered. It felt like the items were premade, and not fresh. 2. We dined at the Decanter and the T-PAN. Decanter = Was amazing intimate experience. The sommelier was amazing. The food, was not bad, but not special. Plates were not warm or cold as the presentation was nice, but the touch of the plate must have that hallmark in the presentation depending if it is a hot or cold dish. Some of the dishes were creative, but flavors were too creative. T-PAN = Amazing staff and experience. Food again, wasn't bad, way better than the Decanter, but the chef was a trainee and wasn't prepared quite to the level of a Japanese Teppenyaki chef would present. For example, the meat wasn't uniform, cubed and cut left with fatty parts not desirable. There were some dishes that were fusion - like but didn't taste together well. 3. We dined at the Valentine's Day dinner on the beach. The dinner mood, was PERFECT. seriously over the top and amazing. The Saxophone player was INCREDIBLY, 10/10. Food was the issue. We didn't send anything back as we wanted to eat and enjoy the night, but I think the main issue is the food came from Alba, and all food had to be brought on the beach. Nothing was covered or hot, maybe warm at best. The first dish with oysters/caviar was very, very bad. terrible combination. Overall, this is an incredible property and there is so many things to say amazing. The experience felt like you were on a private island literally, with amazing snorkeling and 5 star luxury experiences. The spa was incredible, my wife said it was one of the best ever. She went there twice. The pool vibe is a little slow, and no music, I think it was meant to be private and quiet, but I would recommend making it more exciting as felt kinda boring after a while. We went to the Ritz Carlton for 5 nights after and I will write a review about that. I was asked which is better, the Ritz is. As the food, was significantly better. I would choose the Ritz if you want to bring the kids and better food experience. I would do the St. Regis if you want a very slow experience, intimate, and aren't an ultra foodie.

Honestly, where to start. I first heard of the St. Regis Vommuli 6 years ago from a friend who stayed there and, after looking at the property, started planning our 10-year anniversary trip before even reaching 5 years! You would think that with so much time to build up anticipation that nothing could live up to it, but this property did so in spades. It is a luxurious property that also captures the natural beauty of the Maldives, both land and sea, with subtle elegance. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is not a destination where you will want to keep track of how much you are spending because it is a luxury property whose purpose is purely to help you savor the experience and incredible natural surroundings while being expertly taken care of by the incredibly professional and warm staff. We spent 6 incredible nights here and every moment was thoroughly enjoyable. From the moment we were met at Male International by a St. Regis representative who whisked us through checking our bags for the seaplane flight to the property until our departure, we were fully relaxed and able to thoroughly enjoy our time. The house reefs are beautiful and a short swim from the overwater villas. We saw juvenile white and black tip sharks as well as a small spotted eagle ray who visited our villa several times! Nearly every option of water sport is available and we went on a snorkeling outing, rode jet skis around several nearby islands, took in amazing views while parasailing and enjoyed some more relaxing modes of water transport like standup paddle boards and kayaks. We had a wonderful spa experience as well so would highly recommend indulging in those services and experiencing the Blue Hole as well! Quite a cool experience! The food was excellent at all the venues we tried which included Alba, The Whale Bar, Cargo (sadly could not eat outside due to inclement weather but did experience the wonderful food), Orientale and took advantage of the unique experience of dining on the beach at sunset. An incredible meal but the enjoying the sunset followed by dining under the stars on the white sandy beach with my wife is what truly makes it a memory I will treasure! Lastly I’d be remiss if I did not mention the incredible staff at the St. Regis! Without their incredibly hard work, this hotel would not be anywhere near the experience and extraordinary property it is. There are so many of the warm, professional staff who I do not have their names but helped make our experience special and memorable. I do want to call out several staff with whom we interacted with regularly and thank them. Salvin who deftly and humorously managed the rather windy conditions during our dinner at Whale Bar making the challenging conditions seem routine. He always offered us a warm welcome by name whenever we took in a pre-dinner drink at Whale Bar to watch the nightly St. Regis sabrage ceremony and enjoy the sunset. My husband and I went to the St. Regis Maldives for our honeymoon in April 2024 and we can confirm that this property not only lives up to but exceeds everything you have heard and seen. From the pre arrival experience up to the stay itself, departure, and post departure, everything was amazing. It was easy to set up reservations for the outlets prior to arrival via email. We arrived at the Male airport and Naseehu greeted us just outside of Customs. He helped with our bags and guided us through the check in process for the seaplane and took us to the St. Regis airport lounge. The lounge was very comfortable and we were able to get some snacks/drinks and it even had showers inside. Amina was our attendant upon our departure and she was super helpful as well! Naseehu showed us a personalized greeting video of our butler, Angie, welcoming us to the Maldives and the property. Angie was absolutely amazing during our stay. She was very prompt with responses and went out of her way to set up things in our room such as a little honeymoon cake, bubblebath, and hand written notes. She helped us set up additional reservations and helped with any adjus**ents we had to existing reservations. We felt like the only guests she was assisting during our week here. The overwater villa was beautiful! We were upgraded to a sunset villa and the sunsets were truly spectacular. Although, if you want to get in the villa pool in the day, the water is quite cold until the sun peeks over the roof. A regular overwater villa may be better if you want to get more sun on your deck/pool. The snorkeling is amazing when you go in the water just off the villa. The lights/curtains are controlled from an iPad for the room. The room is spacious with a large closet area. We had no complaints for the room except that the sliding door off the patio kept letting air in and the AC would kick off. We informed Angie and then the Engineering/Maintenance team came right over to address it. Every staff member we encountered was so attentive and warm and welcoming. After dining at the breakfast/pool area daily, the attendants would remember what we ordered and asked if we were ready for our usual drink or snack. Speaking of dining, the breakfast buffet is absolutely amazing. I am still thinking about it almost a month out. I have never seen such an expansive breakfast buffet with so many cuisines and options. The fruit is so sweet and delicious. Eating the fruit we have back home in the states is just not the same. All the dinner facilities were delicious. The chef was out for a little bit at T-Pan but he came back a few nights before our departure and our experience was great. We had Chef Eko and the meal he crafted for us was so yummy. Ishaq was our server most days at Alta breakfast and Sandeep guided us during our whiskey tasting and also was there for dinner at Orientale and breakfast. Really everyone we ran into was awesome! I just returned from the St. Regis Vommuli Island. It was literally perfect in every way. I will try not to repeat other reviews-however, few things that I didn't necessarily see come through in my research that might be helpful. Huge special shout out to our butler, Angie, and room attendant, Haseeb, who were both committed to excellence in everything they did. I travel a lot and am a lifetime titanium with Marriott and Angie truly set the bar for what outstanding service looks like. She anticipated needs before we even knew we had them and made our vacation completely worry free. Weather: I had tons of anxiety around the weather going in May (the start of the rainy season). The weather in the Maldives is very tropical and changes quickly. We had mostly beautiful weather and the few periods of unsettled weather helped cool things down. Yoga: I highly recommend the yoga offerings with the fantastic Amruta. I enjoyed both the morning yoga and evening meditation (complimentary) and the Anti Gravity Yoga (nominal charge but worth every penny-very relaxing and different). Amruta went to an Ayurvedic medical college for over 5 years and is incredibly knowledgeable in alternative therapies. Food: Some of the best food i've had on vacation. Folks tend to go to Crust & Craft for lunch-however, Alba's lunch is very underrated. They have an extensive lunch menu and our lunch there was one of our favorite meals of the trip. Status Benefits: We felt well taken care of with the elite benefits provided. Despite being a premium property in high demand, the management went out of their way to recognize elites.
