"This hotel is located on the outskirts of Vang Vieng's city center, but the city center itself isn't very large, so it's convenient to get around. The hotel is run by Vietnamese people; the front desk service is mediocre, and they don't speak Chinese. The rooms are extremely dirty, using what is arguably the worst toilet paper in the world. Breakfast includes eggs and bread. There's a small swimming pool in the courtyard, but no guests were swimming because the water was very dirty. Overall, it's not good value for money."

"For my trip to Vang Vieng this time, I decisively chose to stay at Lisa Garden Resort, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations! The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient to get to various attractions without wasting too much time on the road. The hotel garden has a wonderful ambiance, and the pool area offers expansive views. Sitting on a poolside lounge chair, the continuous distant mountains unfold before your eyes. As evening approaches, the sunset gradually paints the sky red, and the mountains and water are bathed in a warm glow, creating a healing and romantic scenery. The room facilities are complete and well-maintained, and the amenities are clean and tidy. Midway through my stay, I asked the staff about the Nam Song River tubing route, and they patiently provided many practical suggestions, offering gentle and thoughtful service. After a full day of tiring activities, returning to the hotel to quietly enjoy the sunset and mountain views truly evokes a strong sense of vacation. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is quite run-down. The pool is unusable and empty. There are obviously a lot of Chinese guests, so the breakfast is geared towards their tastes and not up to the usual standard. The room is very dirty under the beds, the bathroom is moldy, and the provided slippers are dirty. There's no soap by the sink. There's only a tiny toilet paper roll, so you have to get more at the reception. Not recommended. Not 5 stars, more like 0 stars. The only positive: A friendly concierge who booked us a tuk-tuk to the train station, which was sufficient for four people with luggage. Das Hotel ist ziemlich abgewohnt. Der Pool ist nicht benutzbar und leer. Es gibt augenscheinlich viele chinesische Gäste, das Frühstück ist entsprechend auf deren Geschmack ausgerichtet und nicht vergleichbar mit dem üblichen Standard. Im Zimmer ist es unter den Betten sehr schmutzig, das Bad ist schimmelig, die vorhandenen Badeschuhe sind schmutzig. Es gibt keine Seife am Waschbecken. Es gibt nur eine winzige Toilettenpapierrolle, so dass man an der Rezeption Nachschub holen muss. Nicht empfehlenswert. Keine 5 Sterne wert, eher 0 Sterne. Das einzig positive: Ein freundliche Concierge, der uns ein TukTuk zum Bahnhof gebucht hat, das war ausreichend für 4 Personen mit Gepäck."

"Very dissatisfied, I wrote a note specifically asking for a quiet room on a high floor and they replied that it was OK, but when I arrived at the hotel, they arranged a room on the lowest floor, which was the noisiest. When I checked in, they said there were no high floors, but they arranged a high floor for my group of friends. The soundproofing in the room was terrible, and I could hear the sound of switches. It was all Korean tour groups, and the conversations in the corridor were so loud that I couldn't rest, and eating breakfast was like fighting for food."

"Feel like having fresh mango for breakfast? The fruit selection at the buffet is epic. They have fresh coffee and mango smoothies. The rooms are beautiful, amazing view, bottled water, toothbrushes, even face towels. Quiet air conditioning and there's a ceiling fan too. The beds are comfortable - we got a triple room with 3 single beds- and the power points are right next to the beds. Overall, our favourite hotel for the trip. Oh and the pool is great. We spent an afternoon drinking beer on the beach chairs and swimming. *We got our own tuktuk back to the train station for 30k each instead of the 50k offered by the hotel."

"I am super glad to have stayed in M&M. They have a rooftop bar where I saw the balloons and paramotors over the sunset in nice scenary with a beerlao. The room is clean, the used materials are good, feels like a quality stay. The breakfast is fantastic. Fresh made buffet, veggie salad, fried rice with different side dishes, sticky rice, lao sausage, coconut sweets, and more you can eat 😅 the best breakfast I experienced in a longer time. Friendly staff at reception is welcoming you, also the cleaners are nice. I was staying on a Friday where they played music outside which was noticeable but didn't annoy me, I think it stopped around 11pm. I definitively can recommend this stay."

"Vang Vieng is a small town, and you can easily walk everywhere. It rained the entire time I was there, so I didn't get to see any hot air balloons. However, I could see longtail boats passing by the hotel's riverside every morning. I didn't visit any of the further attractions because I thought it would be unsafe to go into the mountains with the rain. Overall, it was a good experience; even with the rain, enjoying a Lao hotpot in town was quite nice."
