Nice hotel and service are good

馬爾代夫酒店的環境都很優美，服務也很好！但有些細節不吐不快：1. 印度人非常喜歡去這個島，所以島上食物的整體風味可以想象！2. 島周邊風浪很大，水下很荒涼也沒什麼珊瑚和魚，不適合浮潛。3. 收費很貴，一瓶迷你可樂就要8美元，每噸飯基本都在500美元左右！4. 水上中心服務很差，自帶的備用浮潛氣瓶不給充氣，而馬代其他島之前有充過的！

Very poorly managed resort. Totally dilapidated and not maintained. The wood panels are falling off the villas, the decking has not been maintained and you can easily hurt yourself as it is full of splinters and shards. The metal ladders that goes into the sea is so thin it hurts yourself going in and out of the water and it is bent and dangerous. I am guessing the resort manager probably does not know how to swim so he thinks people should not be swimming here too. 0 attention to detail. No idea of maintenance. The sea has rocks and is shallow even at high tide and there is strong currents. This part we can forgive as it is just the nature I guess. But there are much better resorts out there. Nothing to do at the island. They give you no bikes. So you are trapped in your room and the restaurants. The Indian food and Maldivian food taste good. The rest of the food - Western is tasteless and not prepared properly. We ordered all of their dishes almost to get a taste, everything overall was good. But ceviche was not a ceviche, it was some kind of a supermarket coleslaw mixed with some kind of fish. For a resort claiming to be a luxury resort not acceptable. I would still rate the food better than the other resorts, the Indian options kind of save this one. The service at the restaurant is terrible. They don’t clean the tables on time so when you arrive it first of all looks unwelcoming with really cheap furniture, dark colors and looks messy and disorganized. It feels like a third world cafeteria, not a luxury resort. Shameful for Marriott. The cheap owner of the resort saved money on tables, they look like the same kind of tables I saw at a casual tea garden in Pakistan not what you would expect from a so-called luxury resort. When you see this kind of experience it makes you think how much you are being had as you are being charged 30-40 dollars for a basic salad. Not a good experience. The glasses, the tables were dirty and they could not properly even serve. And people don’t know how to serve anything they keep asking you if the food is good etc… it gets really tiring. I am posting the picture of how they showcase salmon at breakfast. I guess it costs so much to import it, they want you to see it but not eat it. And it is not served on ice. In this kind of tropical hot weather not how you serve salmon. The breakfast also only goes on until 10 am. So you need to wake up early as if you are going to work to rush to breakfast … not luxurious. The other resorts go until 11. If you want the breakfast to be delivered to your room they charge 27 dollars. In other resorts it is free. So you have to wake up and go to the dirty cafeteria. Sorry, but it looks quite terrible. Like a cafeteria nothing more. Nothing luxurious about it. Island time… they add +1 hour to the schedule so they can put you to bed early to cut the day short. Our overall experience was exceptional. Our extremely knowledgeable Butler Naajah assisted with every request, he offered a genuine smile and was always good conversation. We visited every single food outlet on the property as our visit was around 10 days. The Italian restaurant- fiamma was really good for lunch Helpful waiters Zaheer, Nazlaan Was attentive, and helpful not to mention the foods options was great. We did Isla for dinner Waiter Nabeel and Vino definitely stood out with their knowledge and genuine enthusiastic personality. Towards the end of my trip I sadly fell and broke my finger. Although it was extremely unfortunate the staff was incredibly helpful throughout this process of sending me to the hospital for X-rays. The onsite clinic was well kitted made me feel at ease. A big thanks for Ali captain Zuney captain Swathi nurse Vishnu you are one of a kind. Your kind gentle soul will forever be remembered. Thank you for your classes and amazing service. Probably one of the most beautiful vacations we’ve been on. The highlight being the staff on the resort.

Simply the most amazing trip so far! We went for our honeymoon. And had the most amazing time of our lives. The turquoise waters, views, overwater villa and the hospitality of the whole resort team was commendable. Special shoutout to Mala our butler and the Aiilaa staff where we had the most delicious meal almost everyday! Thank you so much JW Maldives! ❤️

As I write this, I’m sitting at a Qatar Air lounge waiting to board my plane back to the US. I felt I should share my experience at the JW Maldives. As many have said, Maldives is a bucket list place to visit. My wife and I decided it was time. Since we are Marriott fan travelers, though we have stayed on all different brands, we chose the JW Marriott Maldives for our 12 day vacation. And am I so glad we did. JW is a magical place. Aside from an amazing resort that is pedicured, curated and just beautiful all around, it was its staff that elevated my experience and had made it an unforgettable trip. This place is just magical. It’s beautiful. The food is amazing… now you pay a premium for such amazing food… but for being in an island in the middle of nowhere, I think the food and drink pricing is fair. We booked an over water bungalow for half of our trip and a beach bungalow for our other half. I loved that we did this because we got to experience the island from two different vantage points. It actually felt like we were in two different hotels. We did stay in a deluxe overwater villa that faced the lagoon (Sunset). Plenty of snorkeling to do right in front. The views were amazing. Water is choppy at times but I always easy to swim and relax. The beach villa also faced the lagoon and it was beautiful. It literally felt like an oasis. It was private and I loved hearing the waves hit the sand…. You don’t get that in the over water villas. I can’t choose one over the other one as they both were magical in their own way. If you are looking for a place that quiet, private, peaceful, then look no further, JW is for you. Now, as many have stated, there are better options out there. The JW is the only resort I’ve stayed in Maldives so I can’t compare, however, I can compare to other JW across the world, or even against the One and Only, Montage, Ritz, St. Regis, four seasons resorts we have stayed in other areas and I can say this resort stands on its own and is comparable in so many ways. Now, I do not want to compare as I am aware that comparison is the thief of joy. There is always a bigger, badder, newer, more luxurious resort out there and when you feel you’ve found it, a new one just opened. I wanted to take the time and highlight a few people that really made our trip to the Maldives a very special and memorable time. Chef Upali: Chef Upali took his time to prepare me a different morning dish from his own recipe. Not only was every dish delicious, but he took the time to explain what part of the world it came and all the ingredients it had. He could have guided me through the buffet and I’m sure that would have been just fine but no, he wanted to elevate my experience and man, was it elevated. And, an amazing chef for sure. He is a gem in your organization. Adam: Adam was one of the servers at the Buffett. He has a smile that brings heaven to earth. Literally. The man is so full of joy and extremely attentive.
