Very well located, close to the main touristic places. Very Nice View of the lake from thé rooftop. But the must important that the people who work there are very helpfull awesome and kindly. We truely recom***ded. For example they help us to but train tickets.

Wonderful heritage surroundings with a number of rooms available for various price points. Close to ***y local shops, ideal for walking the streets of Udaipur. Good food and an amazing view from the upper levels of restaurant, with the perfect lounging area in the lower level. Staff are always friends and make sure to attend to anything you need!

This hotel is one of the best budget Hotel they will assist you with everything you need and will give you assistance even after check out. The view from rood is amazing and location of hotel is walking distance to so ***y great places 👍👍

Centrally located with one of the best possible views over the lake that you can imagine. Excellent value for the money--the staff is delightful and accommodating and the restaurant on the top floor is a must! (Be sure to try the ***go milkshake!)

Excellent place, great location, clean and tidy rooms, great views from the roof and friendly service. Would definitely stay again. Easy walking distance to the Lake, Riyal Palace and other sights. They arranged a vehicle to take up to Jodhpur at a fair price.

Mewar Haveli gave us the most exceptional authentic cooking class yesterday! Mr Harish the owner organised a very professional + informative traditional Indian cooking class for my friend + I. We put on aprons + went into the commercial kitchen for 3 hours during real time lunch preparation + serving by the in-house chefs. He explained every dish to us, the ingredients, the cooking methods, all the whilst demonstrating it. We then ate each dish immediately as it was prepared. It was extraordinary to see this happening around us in real time. We learnt how to cook 6-7 dishes from rich curries to wet curries to dry curries to ***l to roti bread, pakoras + so much more. Plus we got the recipe sheets to take home to Australia + cook for ourselves! Such a fantastic experience! I cannot recommend this more. We have used Mr Harish’s services on this trip + our previous Udaipur trip in 2019. He offers money exchange, tour bookings, train/car bookings, astrology sessions, plus of course his accommodation + the delicious restaurant. He is literally a one stop shop of information + helpful tips. Whatever you could want to know about Udaipur… Mr Harish knows! Plus he speaks perfect English. Thank you Mr Harish. See you next trip! This was our second visit to Mewar Haveli and our third visit to Udaipur. We stayed for 6 days which is quite a long time in Udaipur but we were in no hurry. The hotel gave us an excellent room. Every morning I woke up, looked out of the window and saw the lake. That was the perfect way to start the day. The rooms are not especially large - although they are extending into the premises next door with bigger rooms - but they have everything you need and are very clean. What makes this place so special - apart from the view and the location - is the team that works there. They are all lovely people. Nothing is too much trouble. When we walked through the door, one of the young men would run through the shop to get to the elevator ahead of us and push the buttons. That's just incredible. Laundry came back the same day. I've never had that happen before. The food in the restaurant is pure-veg - so if you're after an omelette in the morning, this isn't the place to go - and the gentle*** who runs the restaurant team is absolutely lovely. I thoroughly recommend booking a rate with breakfast included - the pineapple pancakes are phenomenal. A special mention to Harish and Sanyam who had ***y long chats with us about India, politics, life and the universe. If for any reason you can't get a booking here, pick any of the hotels ***** Lal Ghat as I believe this area to be the best you can get on this side of the lake. Don't expect silence as the folklore show happens nearby every night between 7 and 8 and every morning you can hear the call to prayer from the mosque on the other side of the lake followed by drumming at the Hanu*** Temple. I don't think ANYWHERE in Udaipur is particularly quiet.

Mewar Haveli is a beautiful small boutique hotel, in a traditional Haveli style, located in the Old City. The decor is Rajasthani, the windows are arched. I had a lake view room, so it was just out of the world. The room itself was neat and clean, with solar heated water if you need hot water. There's a nice rooftop restaurant with a limited menu. After sunset you can sit there and enjoy the beautiful lake with the lit up buildings and their reflections on the water. And most tourist spots are a few minutes walk away.
