Jim Butler Inn & Suites

This place is abandoned. No staff on site; room key was left in a public area. Entered room & found it had but been cleaned since last use. Toilet was full of “stuff.” Tried numerous times to contact someone all to no avail. No one on site next morning either.

It was a very affordable accommodation. I'm sure the bed sheets were clean, but in our room with two queen beds, my bottom bedsheet was very old as it was thin with age. There was an unusual amount of hair that had been intertwined due to washing. Both chairs in the room were missing the bottom support, so when you sat down, it felt like you were sitting in a bucket.

I stay here for the assembly I attend in Tonopah twice a year. I have been there four time. This is the second time I have stayed here and the room was not cleaned when I arrived. This trip I even called and let them know we would be arriving later than check in. The woman that took my call even said great we will have your room ready and a key will be in your mail box. The toilet still had feces in it and the shower was filthy The beds were made up. But I don’t think the bedding was changed.

Our room window was broken. It was ok as it was not busy- but would have preferred not to have broken pieces in my window. room was clean but old. the check in was easy, young lady was very friendly. location is great for walking taking in the shops. we would stay there again

This motel is old and very funky, but generally clean and with a good bed. As a place to stay while crossing Nevada, it is adequate if you're not too picky.

Good location near center of town. Very interesting history. Friendly people.

Love the location. Issues: The office closed at 8p, although the website says check-in is until 930p. They did leave keys outside the door for our 2 rooms on the reservation, so when we arrived at 810p, we could still get into our rooms. (Safety concern?) What was frustrating was the lack of customer service. Posted office hours are 7a to 8p. In the first room of the reservation, we had no bath towels, only two small hand towels. I went by the office multiple times between 7a and 8a to try to get towels. By the time we left at 8a, the office still wasn't open and calls to the office to request towels (with message left) went unanswered. In the second room, there was a dirty glove left on the floor from a previous guest or cleaning and only two towels for 4 registered guests. Again, no one was in the office so additional towels couldn't be requested. This property would not allow us to prepay through ********** and preferred us to pay on site. Great! We wanted to pay cash for the room anyways. However, because no one was in the office during scheduled office hours, and no call returned, that didn't happen. I'm sure my cc is on file (through ********** where I made the reservation) and will eventually be charged, but nothing had happened yet, and the hotel has yet to return my call. It is a great location in Tonopah, but I highly suggest you arrive WAY before 8p so you can deal with any customer service issues while someone is still in the office!

First, the carpet was filthy, i did not want to take my shoes off! sat on the bed, it was as hard s a table! Literally! Might as well sleep on the floor. Then sat in a chair, and sank down almost to the floor!! The scariest thing was that when I got there, there was an envelope outside the office door with my name room number, and the room key in the envelope!! Anyone cold have been in that room!! I got there about 5 pm, so there was no good reason for there not to be someone in the office! I am traveling as a singlr woman, so this was upsetting! The pipes made a loud whining noise every time someone flushed a toilet, the bathroom had a sewer smell, and I did not even take shower, it was just too disgusting
