"The hotel was very poor, they were not responsive, the reception was not responsive, there was no restaurant, the breakfast was very, very poor, the room facilities such as hairdryer and other equipment were not available. Because there were 4 tennis courts there and the kids were constantly coming for training, the noise from the kids was really loud and it was disturbing the cafe."

"There were a couple of issues with this hotel that kept me from really liking it. I kept having to get new rooms keys. I was told the battery in the door was dying. This went on for my entire stay. Why not fix it right away? The second problem was the extreme noise from outside. There is no insulation so you can hear every single car. With the main road closed it meant the road in front of Astoria is now heavily trafficked. The good: staff are nice and helpful especially Ido. The hotel is a good value. Breakfast was great. There's a pool, but I didn't get a chance to try it."

"Overall, I liked everything. Of course, I would have preferred a better view from the room. But otherwise, everything was great. It was a standard room, but spacious with a living area. It had two exits to the balcony. The breakfast was a good buffet. The pool and sauna are free. The outdoor pool water was cold (in the evening), but the indoor one was quite warm. Another drawback was the incredibly slow elevator. Sometimes you had to wait for a very long time. There's underground parking. Plenty of spaces, but it was quite cramped. Overall, everything was excellent. All the staff were friendly."

"Positive aspects: The hotel is newly opened, and the room itself is clean and well-maintained. Housekeeping is flawless – towels are changed daily, they are clean and in good condition. The bed is comfortable, Wi-Fi works reliably, and the climate control is adequate (neither stuffy nor too warm). The room is equipped with a TV, though the channel selection is limited (no movie channels such as TV1000). Standard amenities are provided: bottled water, slippers, and bathroom toiletries (mini-soap, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel), although body lotion, toothbrush, and toothpaste were not available. Breakfast is quite basic, but all items are fresh. I would also like to acknowledge the staff member who quickly resolved an issue with a steamer – she was smiling, friendly, and efficient. Areas requiring improvement: 1. Check-in experience and guest information: Upon arrival, there was no warm welcome, no escort to the room, and no luggage assistance. No in-room information was provided regarding Wi-Fi access, hotel services, bar prices, or the schedule of the conference (timing and location). All of this had to be inquired about separately after check-in. Additionally, the front desk had difficulty locating my reservation, which caused unnecessary delay. 2. Serious security incident (night intrusion): At approximately 3 a.m., while I was asleep, two strangers entered my room using their own key card. They were visibly surprised to find me there. This constitutes a grave breach of guest security and privacy. Shortly afterward, I was woken a second time – by a receptionist who came to apologize in person for the earlier incident. While the apology was noted, the decision to disturb a sleeping guest again, rather than addressing the matter the following morning, demonstrated a lack of basic operational judgment. 3. Dismissive staff response to the complaint: The following morning, I approached the front desk to seek clarification and discuss appropriate compensation for the disrupted sleep and distress caused. The female receptionist responded with: "We already apologized – what more do you want?" and "You didn't sleep? That's your problem." This response was unprofessional, dismissive, and entirely inadequate for a hospitality establishment. No offer of compensation, discount, or goodwill gesture was proposed. Conclusion: While the physical infrastructure and housekeeping standards are commendable, the hotel fails in two critical areas: guest safety and customer care. A comfortable bed and clean towels cannot compensate for being woken twice in the middle of the night by strangers and then being treated with indifference when raising a legitimate concern. I cannot recommend this hotel to business travelers or leisure guests who value security, restful sleep, and professional service. The management should urgently review their security protocols and staff training in complaint handling."
