特別破的小酒店 很少住這麼差的酒店 超級簡陋 要不是旁邊沒別的可選 必然不會住 澡都沒洗第二天回巴黎換了個舒服酒店

私人開的，我們到的時候晚上十點多關門了敲半天才有人開，不太隔音沒有電梯。但餐廳佈置的很法式。

As other people have mentioned on here, Tarbes is not usually a destination (though we very much enjoyed our evening in this very friendly and somewhat old-fashioned city) and like others, we were also just passing through on our way to somewhere else and needed a last-minute overnight stop. We therefore considered ourselves very lucky to have found this hotel quite by chance. Yes, it's "old fashioned" (but in the best way - owner managed and family run rather than staffed by others; beautifully-made beds with pure cotton sheets and a boutis quilt, all immaculately ironed and tightly tucked in; and YES the shoe polishing machine on the landing deserves its own mention!). However, the rooms have been fairly recently modernised - to French tastes, not yours or mine maybe, but they are super clean, spacious and very well-equipped with air conditioning, hair dryers, powerful shower, safe, fridge etc. The biggest selling point for us, though, was the owner, who grew up in the hotel when it was run by his mother, and whose warm and friendly welcome set the tone for a very happy stay. He is an absolute gem, and was full of local knowledge and recommendations. The hotel is within easy walking distance of a good choice of restaurants and bars, but even sleeping with the windows open, we were not disturbed by any street noise as another review mentions - maybe because our room overlooked the interior courtyard. Finally, one review mentioned the poor breakfast - well, by French hotel standards we found it fine, with juices, cereals, pastries, cheeses, yoghurts, fruit all on offer and in abundance.

The manager gave us a lovely welcome and a choice of rooms. This hotel has just been modernised and though it still retains its old French charm, it also has an up-to-date bathroom, well equipped with strong shower, fridge, safe, sockets galore. Our room overlooked a quaint courtyard. We parked right outside foc, as we left early the next morning.

Nous avions réservé, en novembre, pour deux nuits (24 et 25 décembre) la meilleure chambre de l'établissement. A notre arrivée surprise ! L'hôtelier nous donne une clé et nous découvrons une chambre basique. Après retour à la réception , nous apprenons que notre chambre a déjà été attribuée.... Pas très sérieux tout ça ! Heureusement, nous avons été remboursés immédiatement et grâce à un coup de fil du propriétaire nous avons eu une chambre dans un autre établissement.

Un hôtel « comme avant » avec un hôtelier avenant et aux petits soins, merci à lui pour sa préconisation restaurant du bout de la rue, Le Monocle était parfait. La chambre 23 impeccable et la salle de bains également, rien à redire. Pdj correct, confitures maison bienvenues.
