Windsor Castle Hotel

No impressed! We booked a table and was seated in front of a big screen TV. Fine. Waited for the food which wasn’t too long and the reason was clear. My partner and I both ordered burgers which were ok. He ordered chips which were soggy. I had salad which looked like it had literally been thrown in the basket. It was fry with no dressing. Ordered a Tequila cocktail but the bar person didn’t know how to make it and had to look it up. Needless to say, it wasn’t the best. Won’t be going back.

Lovely hotel, stayed in the annex which was fine. Beds extremely comfortable, Pillows were amazing! Room was clean and we asked for more milk around 11.30 pm when we left the bar and it was brought to our room within 5 minutes. Staff are extremely friendly. One little gripe was breakfast…… food amazing but service was not the best. I do not like the idea of having to eat breakfast in the bar area so you have to carry your food from main restaurant through the main entrance hallway to bar area. We had to do one journey for orange juice go back for our food. The bar area consisted of high tables and bar stools to sit at or low arms chairs and tables I do not feel either are appropriate for the age range of people who will be paying approx £200 for B&B. Not enough staff serving breakfast either. Even down to us not having a simple tea spoon . Sorry for the moan, other than that very nice stay we would return.

We enjoyed such a fun night at the Windsor Castle. I highly recommend the seafood linguini. Chris as chef was excellent and Chris the barman could not have been nicer. We will definitely return. Next time we will definitely book a table. Carolyn

My first time in Maitland and I am really grateful I stayed here, very near the Victoria Street train station, only 22 min walk to Greenhills Shopping Centre, 2 bus stops right at the hotela nd across the street, IGA is about 3 min walk.. We enjoyed our beds, warm hot shower and really clean room. Checkin and checkout were easy, we had no trouble with privacy at all. Will def stay here again when I get back!

We came here as a group of three looking for a quick bite, and that’s exactly what we got. The bistro looked nearly booked out but we found a table near the bar and ordered quickly: roast of the day, fish and chips and sirloin steak. The steak was nicely cooked, the fish and chips was lovely and the pork roast was good value. It was fast and tasty and very much what you’d expect at the bigger pubs and clubs.

Central location, good range of menu choices, lots of space we didn’t feel like we were sitting on top of other people. The prices were great, generous portion servings and the food was wonderful, the only problem was the amount of flies that were annoying while we were trying to eat

Had an overnight stay here on a road trip we were undertaking in regional NSW. The accommodation wing, which looks like it is a new, modern extension to the original hotel building, is separate from the main hotel and you will have to go into the hotel to find reception (follow the signs). The staff are very friendly and helpful and eager to make your stay a pleasant one. The rooms are not very big, in fact a bit on the small side. This aside, they are modern, nicely furnished, comfortable bed and contain all the essentials you now expect in a good quality hotel. The restaurant at the hotel is very popular with the locals and as we arrived fairly late in the evening, we were lucky to find a table in the main bar which was perfectly acceptable. The hotel has an excellent menu, very reasonably priced and the quality of the food is excellent. It was one of the best hotel restaurants we encountered on our travels in NSW. Being so popular, we were concerned that out room would be noisy, but it wasn't. The accommodation is secure from the rest of the hotel with its own entrance and not noisy at all. Overall, a very pleasant stay at the Windsor Castle Hotel which we enjoyed and would recommend.

GREAT FOOD!! According to my kids- “these are the best burgers in the world here Mum.” According to my partner- “ oh my god these cutlets are to die for”. And according to me… “ A bloody awesome chicken parmigiana”. It was very busy here today and we still only waited 20 minutes for our meals. Fantastic place for the kids ( outdoor playground). We will be back for certain… AAA+ Keep up the good work guys 👏 🏆
