Ulasan Macdonald Alveston Manor Hotel

The setting is super for visiting the sights and the hotel is a beautiful historic building. The modern spa was nice to use but we found the room quite basic and could do with a freshen up and very disappointed that there where no hot drink making facilities in the room. We had the breakfast included in our room cost and we were very disappointed in that - everything was swimming in grease and the black pudding and potato rosti were very over cooked so we could not finish our meal. The car park is £7 per nights stay but were were not made aware of this beforehand. We would probably stay again but would upgrade to a room in the old part of the building and won't have the cooked breakfast.

The hotel is ideally situated for a short trip to Stratford upon Avon. Just a short walk into the centre. The rooms are comfortable and the bed was large. Car parking is easy and plentiful. Not too expensive. On the downside (slightly) there is no lift. But only 2 floors. The staff that we dealt with were friendly and helpful. No issues required resolving. We didn’t use the leisure facilities.

沒有電梯，有大箱子的可以叫前台幫搬。酒店漂亮，房間設施老舊。水龍頭冷熱分開，沒有温水

Stained carpets, ragged upholstery, dated look coupled with poor cleaning standards and a very poor quality breakfast service serving soggy pastries from previous day. Actually you cannot say pastries when you are only serving croissants.

The hotel is rather dated and needs a but of investment, i have stayed in many historic hotels which are great but this seems to be stuck inbetween the 2 and for me doesn't work. The staff were all amazing and breakfast was very nice but the decor and rooms left a lot to the imagination. Also had issues with the computers to register the car and the shower gel and shampoo bottles were empty in the bathroom

There is nothing unique or special about this Hotel. It is expensive and overrated and the rooms are very average and need updating, as does the hotel.

How expensive the food & drinks were. Had to ask for the heating being put on in the room .The room was cold. Having to pay for the car-park daily is very bad But worse being asked to pay for the carpark on leaving ,I hadn't used the car park .Also being asked to pay for Continental breakfast that i hadnt had. The receptionist saying infront of other people in reception , that she'd got written down that id had tea & refused to pay for it. Obviously she had been misinformed, but it was no excuse for the rude way she spoke to me. The fact was it was my friend who ordered the tea ( she was under a different room number to me ) When the waitress informed us that we would be charged for breakfast we told her to cancel it, that we wasnt paying £18 for two cups of tea . The tea was never brought to the table. Apart from the recepton staff on leaving , the rest of the staff were really nice & polite. I doubt i would stay in a Macdonald hotel again.

Staff were absolutely fantastic from arrival to departure. Room did have some huge cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Didn't really bother us but for a deluxe room some people would have definitely had some really issues with them. Food in the restaurant for dinner was amazing and I really want to commend the kitchen staff for how high the quality was. As was the room service meal we had another night. Overall we loved it.

Hotel was lovely, full of character, warm & spacious, and easy to negotiate. Great location within Stratford upon Avon, though the car park seemed stretched.

Very nice hotel with great location. My only real criticism was that the room looked a bit tired and could do with updating

Really comfortable stay, comfy bed great pillows. Lovely buffet breakfast, would happily stay next time we visit the RSC.

Lovely hotel, loved the main building which is very beautifully preserved to the Tudor period. We stayed in a standard double in the newer extension which was very tired, could have done with a make over but was very clean. The location of the hotel was perfect just a 10 minute stroll from the town centre.
