Didn't expect this very niche and grande hotel in a city that many non-Chinese traveller might have not ever heard before. The room is huge, clean, modern yet classy. The breakfast area is the champion, with pools surrounding the dining area, very good spot for taking social media contents. Location is very easy to find, right in the main road that connects to the old town of Datong. Parking spot is widely available in the basement.

I recently came to the ancient city of Datong from Beijing and chose Yungang Jianguo Hotel to stay. When you first walk into the imposing lobby, the exquisite decoration is very eye-catching. Four bottles of mineral water a day are enough to drink, and you can add it for free if it is not enough.
