TTamuLovely, new and clean property with spacious rooms. Excellent location within the ancient city, and the staff and manager go out of their way to provide inputs and suggestions for your trip. Breakfast is also fairly substantial. Room also has all the amenities you need for your trip. Overall great stay and recommend this to everyone with a Datong plan!

TTamuI went with my sister. To a place that is remote and strange to us. We did not expect much but we received lots of warm memories. From the airport pick up to arriving. They offered afternoon tea once we arrived hotel as it was very cold. We were taken care of well. The following days were nice breakfast, warm regards, constant reminders to wear more as it is cold. When the food rider could not find the hotel, the boss went out to find the food rider, asking me to stay back as it is cold outside. The constant reminders felt home and warmth, genuinely care for their guests. Amazing and soul enriching trip at this place. They offered more than they advertised - depending on the situations, which is beyond my expectation. Finally they sent us off to the railway station, this is not in the package but they only said they had the car, they can bring us there, like family sending off their guests. Find a place like this, rest for a few days, the world feels warmer, the soul feels grateful.

AAnnie PBPI had an amazing stay at Yunzhong Traditional Courtyard in Datong! This hidden gem offers a traditional Chinese courtyard experience with a cozy and authentic vibe. The location is ideal—just a short walk from Huayan Temple and Nine Dragon Wall. The rooms were immaculately clean, making it easy to relax, especially after staying at a larger hotel that wasn’t as spotless. The bathroom amenities were incredible—featuring a wooden comb, two electric toothbrushes, Sensodyne toothpaste, a high-quality nail clipping set, a shoehorn, Listerine, and lingerie soap, all beautifully packed in an embroidered red pouch, free of charge. Breakfast was delicious, with a carefully prepared set menu. The thousand-year congee was unbelievably good! The hotel even has a small exhibition room, adding to its charm. There's no complaint on anything here. It's all perfect to me! Overall, Yunzhong Traditional Courtyard is a fantastic blend of tradition, comfort, and thoughtful hospitality—highly recommend it!

YYang JianpingOur stay at Yunqi Xiangshe was a truly delightful experience. The hotel is newly built, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the owner welcomed us warmly, making us feel right at home. The property offers private parking, which is very convenient, and it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the heart of the ancient city—an ideal location for exploring Datong. Each room is thoughtfully decorated, blending modern style with artistic touches that reflect the owner’s care and refined taste. Each morning, we were treated to a beautifully prepared breakfast, along with complimentary coffee and tea throughout the day. It’s those small, thoughtful details that really elevate the experience. In short, Yunqi Xiangshe is a perfect combination of comfort, style, and heartfelt hospitality. I would gladly recommend it to all my friends and look forward to returning again in the future

AAlisiWe had a great stay at this hot spring hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with good amenities and a cozy bed. The hotel is about an hour’s drive from the famous Hanging Temple, and there’s a bus running between the Travelers Center and the hotel — just make sure to check the departure time with the front desk. The breakfast was nice, mainly Chinese-style dishes, and the variety was satisfying. The hot spring area isn’t the most impressive I’ve visited, but it was still wonderful to soak in a warm tub after a long day of hiking. Overall, a relaxing and comfortable stay — definitely a good choice if you’re exploring the area.
