"My biggest surprise on this trip to Datong was definitely this hotel. As a hotel enthusiast, I really couldn't find much to fault (though the pool water wasn't quite warm enough – a minor imperfection, I suppose). First off, the location is superb, right by the ancient city wall. You step out and the city wall is right across the street, and Southeast Yip is just next door. Taking a stroll in the evening couldn't be more convenient! Everything is close by, and getting a taxi is easy. Secondly, the hotel itself is stunning and impeccably clean, perfect for photos. The hotel feels like a work of art, beautifully designed, blending classical aesthetics with modern design. It also does an excellent job of protecting guest privacy; outside photographers can't just wander in. It's incredibly tranquil; even though it's fully booked every day, you rarely run into other guests, offering great privacy. I slept wonderfully. Then there are the top-tier amenities. All the luxuries you'd expect from a high-end hotel are here. Everything in the minibar, except for the red wine, is complimentary – there's so much you can't possibly drink it all. Every day, they offer different fresh fruits, nuts, and a goodnight dessert, plus complimentary coffee. The complimentary afternoon tea is very generous and aesthetically pleasing. The breakfast selection is extensive and delicious! And the service, it's simply outstanding, scoring almost full marks for attention to detail. There are plenty of staff members, and they respond incredibly quickly. They even deliver takeout to your room. If I had to pick a flaw, it's that it's quite expensive. But overall, it was definitely worth it. If I come to Datong again, I'd choose this hotel without hesitation."

"Hotelnya bagus dalam hal lain, kecuali... Saya check-out pukul 09.00, dan menemukan headphone saya hilang pukul 20.00. Saya menelepon pukul 20.20 dan diberi tahu bahwa headphone saya ada di kamar. "This hotel didn't have any ratings yet, but I chose it based on a few glowing reviews. First off, there's parking right in front of the hotel, and if that's full, they have their own parking lot just across the road, and a friendly security guard will show you the way. The lobby has coffee, snacks, and even a kids' play area. Each floor is neatly stocked with bottled water for guests to grab whenever they like. I was amazed when I entered my room – it was huge! 👍 The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, smart fixtures, and the TV was enormous – casting to it was a blast. The room was clean and tidy. There's a laundry room and a restaurant on the 2nd floor. For this price, getting all these amenities is definitely worth it! 😁 Now for the important part: the service. From the security guard and the front desk ladies to the maintenance guys, the housekeeping staff, and the restaurant workers – everyone greeted us with a smile and a friendly hello when we came and went. When you're traveling, who doesn't want to feel happy every day? 😍 The location is great too; it's convenient for all the attractions and there are plenty of delicious and affordable food options nearby. This is definitely my top choice hotel in Datong. I hope they keep up the good work, and I'll definitely recommend it to my friends! 💯"

"In the morning, I saw the sunrise over Hengshan Mountain from the 20th-floor buffet restaurant. In the evening, fireworks lit up the street outside my window. Enjoying a cup of coffee by the electronic bonfire at midday was the most pleasant moment. I spent an unforgettable Spring Festival holiday in Huai'ren, Shanxi. Thumbs up to Ms. Cheng at the front desk, Ms. Tang in room service, and Ms. Mulan in the breakfast restaurant for their meticulous and thoughtful service! 👍"

"This hotel has probably been open for 20 years. I can understand the outdated facilities, but the lack of cleanliness is something I really can't accept. I can pretend I didn't see the watermarks on the faucets, but after taking a shower, the overhead shower head—it sprayed water in all directions except for me! The handheld shower head's fixed stand kept moving back and forth, and even at its highest setting, it only sprayed up to my shoulders. If I were 1.9 meters tall, I could tolerate it, but the problem is, I'm only 1.6 meters. So, the area above my shoulders is someone else's, not mine, right?! After showering, I thought about drying my hair, and when I opened the bag containing the hairdryer, it was full of clumps of long hair—clearly, the previous guest hadn't checked it at all… As for photos, I don't have any; I didn't even want to take a picture! The hotel breakfast, for a restaurant that's considered somewhat reputable in Datong, was terrible—the knife-cut noodles were all machine-made, just bought ready-made, and there wasn't even a noodle-making chef! I'm speechless! I definitely won't stay there again!"
