Walison Hotel is a vintage hotel in the heart of Srinagar city, just opposite to Dal Lake ghat #2. Mr. Sajad Bhat was extremely caring, kind and hospitality provided by him was great. The property location is great with Dal Lake just next door! Strongly recommend this property for stay in Srinagar. The property is maintained quite well by Mr. Sajad and team.

It was a nice stay, the restaurant menu need to be wider. Minimal menu but taste is good. My travel plan was done through him. Cost effective, the hotel is very close to dal Lake and also markets are nearby. Other eatery is also nearest. Worth spending. The hotel ambience is also nice.

The stay at Walison Homestay was amazing, the room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect, the staff (including the manager Mushtaq bhai) was very receptive and helping. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Walison Hotel for 4 days. It is walking distance from Dal Lake. Room was very nice, with proper heater and comfort. Restaurant offers good kahawa and vegetarian food. Great hospitality by Sajad Bhaijan. He helped me with my hotel booking at Gulmarg. Over all good experience.

Loved our time here at Walisons, Srinagar. I visited with my Family and the hospitality that we received from the entire team specially, Mr Sajad Bhat, was excellent. The rooms were well maintained and the service provided by the staff was top notch. Mr Bhat helped so much with the itinerary and some tips here and there to make our journey better. The breakfast was so yummy and the chefs were good at whatever they cooked. The food and restaurant were very hygienic and well maintained. Would recommend their paranthas for everyone to try!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wallisons Hotel in Srinagar. The location was perfect, just near Dal Lake Gate 2, offering easy access to the beautiful surroundings. A special mention to Mr. Bilal, who was the cleaner there—he was extremely helpful, attentive, and ensured our room was always spotless. His dedication added to the comfort of our stay. Highly recommend this hotel for its great location and excellent service! Mr Sajad helped in arranging taxi for sightseeing. Mr Touseef bhai was excellent driver, we enjoyed our journey to ********, Gulmarg. He treated us like family.

Great Experience. Stayed with family. Very considerate manager. Additionally, the dining was excellent. Special mention for Head Chef Manzoor, and Abid and Rafiq. Good location, very close to the Dal Lake, and also to other amenities, etc.

It was an excellent stay in this hotel....hospitality, service, food.....everthying was exceptionally good. Would like to stay here again and again.we had stayed there 4 nights......they took care even of minute things.......would like to rate it 10 out of 5😊

I traveled to Srinagar from December 24th to January 1st, 2024, and stayed at Wallisons Homestay in Srinagar for six nights, followed by two nights at their Peace Resort in Pahalgam. We were two couples (4 adults and 2 kids) Here's my honest review of the experience: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Wallisons Homestay. The property is designed like an Airbnb, with a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy living room. Since it’s a new property, everything—from kitchenware to furniture—was top-notch. We loved the quality and comfort. The staff, particularly Mushtaq Bhai, and the house help were always a call away. Even the owner, Mehak, stayed in touch consistently, despite being out of the country. When snow disrupted our plans in Gulmarg, Mushtaq Bhai arranged an extra night’s stay seamlessly. The homestay is about 1 km from Dal Lake and farther from the Shikara ghats, but it’s conveniently located near markets, making it easy to grab groceries. The Peace Resort (another property of Wallisons in Pahalgam) had its pros and cons. The outdoor lawn and direct river access were fantastic, but the rooms were quite small, with an even tinier dining area. During breakfast, the house would fill with food smells, which wasn’t ideal. The property is 6-7 km from Pahalgam’s main market. While this isn’t a problem if you have your own vehicle, it can be challenging during snowstorms, as we experienced. However, the manager, Aizaz Bhai, and our driver, Shabbir Bhai, went the extra mile to arrange alternate transport and ensure we got back safely. Unfortunately, my trip was marred by a poor experience with a cab service recommended by Mehak—Aadil Tours and Travels. Here’s why: First of all they charged almost 30%+ rates that of market (which is okay because I knew that already before booking) but I still went ahead becuse of all the recommendations I got from the hotel itself. I was charged 21,500 for 7 days plus airport pick and drop (imagine paying more than 3k per day, while other operators were offering the same at 17k. and I booked the cab almost a month ago). However, with that exorbitant price, the travel operator did not provide all the services which we agreed on over the phone as I placed my trust on verbal communication and not documenting it. When raising this concern with the operator, he mentioned that "I am already losing money on with you on this trip" - seriously. Such a comment with someone whose entire business is dependent on tourism. Also, he mentioned that "bahas nahi karni hai mujhe". The same guy was absolutely a cheeesy person before I booked his cab. On top of it, the drivers were not that great too 1) would not be very keen on lending hand for luggage 2) would hardly recmmend any places to go 3) would keep on pushing to close the day as soon as possible. Last day when I had a chance to book another cab (becase Aadil refused to honor the verbal agreement), I had far better experience with a random driver - more vocal, helping you o

I had an amazing experience at [walisons hotel Srinagar] last night. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared by chef manzoor, and the service was top-notch. Our waiter, Mr Aabid hussain and rafiq was very attentive and made excellent recommendations. I can't wait to come back

Best place to stay. Affordable and great for a few nights. The staff is professional and look after their guests very well. Great stay for families with kids or travellers on budget. Location is the best with most amenities in the vicity areas
