Very clean hotel. Comfortable bed and all things we needed in the bathroom were there. Also very handy that there was a fridge and a microwave in the room!
We needed to be close to the airport. Quiet environment.
We stayed at The Holiday Inn Express Spokane Airport the weekend of June 20-23 along with 28 other baseball families. This was a tournament designated hotel. We were concerned about the renos before staying so one of the parents called to confirm that the facilities would still be accessible (pool, gym, common areas), we were assured that the hotel was still completely functional during renovations. Upon arriving the hotel staff was pleasant, but the hotel renos seemed a lot more than advertised. Our first night night after a very long drive, some of the parents and children were socializing in the outdoor common area, only to have security (Richard) come out in a huff and demand (yell) that we all return to our rooms. Considering this was a tournament booking, socializing is to be expected as that is when the teams and families bond. This do not feel hospitable at all. There will multiple occasions where the front door and fire exits were closed or blocked with scaffolding. The elevator was super sketchy and included a sign on door to pull the door open manually if it gets stuck. I can't imagine this would be a suggested safe practice for adults, let alone 11-12 year olds. The 2nd elevator was completely shut down for duration of the stay. Common areas (lobby and areas out and round the facility were littered with construction debris), including a chop saw, boxcutter blade, extension cords and palettes of construction materials. These items should be in a secured area. The breakfast was subpar at best. The minimal selection was cold any many of the main staples that the Holiday Day Inn are known for were missing (Cinnamon buns, Waffle machine & Sausage Gravy). Hotel room was missing essentials such as body wash and hand soap, but this was rectified in a timely manner. I'm sure this facility will be lovely once the renovations are completed, but I do not recommend as of right now.

I am writing in regards to my experience of my stay on June 21-23, 2024 at the Holiday Inn Express Airport. We booked thru the Tournament Event Connect, and at no point were told this hotel was under renovation. Now keep in mind, we travel roughly 100 nights a year, and many hotels are under renovation, but we have never encountered a hotel that is under renovation like this and still open to guests (much less youth/children). I will clearly outline my issues here: Upon checking in, the lobby was completely inaccessible and not safe for guests to be walking thru. At no point was there even signage indicating any of this. I had to ask the front desk behind plastic if they were open. The smell of paint in the hotel was so strong and it should have been deemed a health hazard. The front desk checked me into a room on floor 2. The elevator has signage on it that states to pry doors open or call a number if it will not open (what about the kids that do not have cell phones?) I decide to not take elevator with all my suitcases. I look for stairwell. Main floor hallways are filled with construction tools. Completely unsafe to maneuver thru. I finally ask a construction worker where the stairwell is- and he takes me to an unmarked doorway in the midst of construction. I go to go up the stairwell which is filled with old toilets, sinks, etc. I get to my room on the second floor. The door did not work. I come back downstairs. Get new keys. Get into the room. The paint smell is horrendous. I try to turn on the air conditioner or crack the window. The window does not open, the air conditioner does not work. I come back downstairs thru the chaos of construction. I ask front desk for new room- on 3rd or 4th floor as the smell is too much to handle on the 2nd floor. They tell me there is no other rooms available and that the construction and painting will be stopping and the paint smell is just getting aired out (it did not stop, and they in fact continued to paint even more on June 22.) At this point, I am beyond frustrated, but we are apparently mandated to stay at this hotel as it is a “Stay to Play tournament” or we risk forfeiting. I get another room on the 2nd floor, and call corporate to see what they can do. They put me thru to Troy who calls me in my room, and offers $80/night off with little to no apology of why this hotel would even be open at this point. I go to leave the room with my 12 year old son. My door does not lock. All my possessions are in the room and I have to leave the hotel to go to a baseball game. I notify front desk that my door does not lock, I am leaving, and my TV does not work. No apologies or even acknowledgement from the front desk. I get back from the game in the evening, hauling bags up stairwells filled with construction goods, and my door again does not work. Go back downstairs to get keys rekeyed. TV still does not work upon arrival in room. Next morning, the breakfast area is half under construction, not exactl

This is a perfect hotel if you are looking to be close to the airport. This property was perfect for us leaving on an early morning flight. The staff was friendly and the room was clean, quiet and exactly what we were looking for! We would stay there again if we fly in t Spokane again.

If you are flying in or out of Spokane, this is a perfect hotel for access. The rooms were clean and comfy and the staff was great. You really cant beat the location unless you were actually staying in the airport! The hotel is also not far from downtown so it is easy to drive where you need to go. Easy in and out.

Front desk staff was exceptional including Star and Kaelynn. Hotel is adequate but needs renovation; rooms are clean but outdated. Long term parkers should insure their car is within the parking lines !! This was annoying. Outside grounds with firepits was nice.

We stay frequently, the new gal at the desk needs lots more training in customer service. The whole interaction checking in was awkward and weird. Not holiday inn standards in the slightest. We usually get greeted by a super professional and friendly red head.

I stayed at this location for a week, my coworkers and I would gather in the lobby to discuss next days to come and I would notice the front desk gal Marci is the reason that place is still in business. She has the charisma and professionalism that keeps you coming back again and again. I was highly disappointed to learn she had been passed over for management from other employees.

The woman I was told was the manager could not have cared less about my concerns I was expressing. She was rather rude and has no business being in management with horrible guest services skills. The other employees also looked appalled and embarrassed. The hotel will be great once the renovations are done, you can see it coming

Had a terrible experience at this hotel. We paid 200+ for a room while the hotel was under construction. No one told us they were doing construction. There was dust all over starting from the reception to outside rooms. Let’s not talk about housekeeping which was terrible. The rooms are nice and new but obviously housekeeping is the worst. Hair in the showers and in beds don’t even know if the bedding had been changed. I thought the staff were nice.

The room was comfortable, the staff made you feel welcome. Everyone was friendly it was like home away from home. For the two weeks they even gave us Thanksgiving dinner. I would definitely stay there again for a vacation.
