Hotel Spa di Suzhou

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with our 10 month old during Golden Week. Pros: - Hotel is self-contained and there is no need to leave the hotel. There are large and well-maintained grounds for our daily walks with baby, including museums and traditional pagodas dotted throughout the property. There is a chinese, western (steak, pizza) and japanese (teppanyaki) restaurant within the hotel. There is also a kids play room and swimming pool, along with some other kid friendly activities like rabbit feeding and games on the lawn. - The hotel is right next to the lake and is quite beautiful. It's very relaxing to stroll along the lake. - There is an ancient town about 15 minutes walk from the hotel's main lobby. There is a free hotel shuttle to and from the ancient town too. - Staff are generally friendly and helpful - Large, family-friendly rooms are available. We stayed in a lake view suite, which was just right for us and our baby. - Hotel is affordable by international standards - Hotel is less than 2 hours drive from Shanghai, where we live - We particularly enjoyed the teppenyaki restaurant where you can get a private room and a private chef to cook your meals - Despite it being Golden Week, we didn't feel that the hotel was too crowded. Perhaps because the hotel has large grounds. Cons - The baby cot given to us had an extremely thin and uncomfortable mattress. To compensate, we were given a comforter to pad the mattress. However, this is unsafe for younger babies, who should sleep on a firm surface. - The property and facilities are a bit dated - There were very loud weddings on the lawn facing the lake each day that we were at the hotel. The loud music and emceeing disturbed the peaceful ambience of the place, and also disrupted baby's morning and afternoon naps. For families with children who still need to nap in the day, it may be better to stay in a quieter garden view room instead of a room facing the lake.

Good for business travelers or families. ❌ **Cons**: No full-service restaurant or breakfast buffet; minimal recreational facilities. **Value for Money: 4/5** ✔️ Affordable for the space, especially for extended stays. Discounts often available on booking platforms. **Final Verdict**: A solid choice for **budget-conscious travelers** or those needing apartment-style stays near Suzhou Bay. Not luxurious but practical, with room for minor improvements in upkeep and amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel, the staff on reception is very helpful, we got upgrade to the lake view room, which was a nice surprise for us. The staff gave us tips for our trip and introduced the hotel very throughly and even gave a map (because the hotel is huge and has a lot of things to do and explore). The room is spacious and the view is just amazing, it had a small balcony to overlook the lake. Breakfast is totally worth it, all staff in the restaurant is very friendly and very caring about us, providing best service ever. Really thankful for them! The outdoor pool has stunning view, but be prepared to see a lot of kids and the pool itself is not as big, need to come early to get a lounge chair. Though I heard that they are planning to build another pool in future. The outdoor pool has nice lights in evening, would recommend to check it out in evening. The guy working on the towel rack is really sweet, first time we came over he helped a lot. Also the hotel staff brings some small treats/ snacks while you are enjoying pool - some fruits, ice cream and water. Indoor pool is spacious and clean, beautifully designed. It also has a heated pool with massage options. Lounge bar: tasty food, good and caring service, wonderful singer (real professional !). Especially want to thank the manager of rooms Cherry for the service and support, she is just great 👏🏼 lovely lady with high quality service 👍🏼

Saya awalnya menginap di hotel terdekat, tetapi saya tertarik dengan teras yang indah ketika saya lewat. Saya hanya ingin menghabiskan beberapa hari lagi, jadi saya mengubah reservasi saya ke hotel ini. Ada banyak wanita yang check-in setiap hari, dan ada tembok ”Suzhou” yang indah. Pintu masuknya adalah aula yang sangat nyaman, ini hari Natal, pohon Natal yang indah dihias, dan bos juga menyalakan perapian, yaitu sangat hangat. Terdapat kamar tamu di sisi kiri dan kanan lobi B&B. Disarankan untuk memilih yang memiliki teras, yang memiliki pemandangan yang bagus. Sayangnya, tidak ada kamar saat kami melakukan reservasi juga sangat indah dan merupakan pilihan yang sangat populer. Kamarnya bersih dan nyaman, cahayanya sangat bagus, jendelanya besar, dan sinar matahari sangat nyaman. Kami memesan dua kamar. Bailu di lantai pertama sedikit lebih kecil dan cocok untuk satu orang. Fukasaku di lantai dua jauh lebih besar. Dinding merah muda dan ubin hitam Kota Suzhou dapat dilihat di luar jendela. Selain itu, B&B ini hanya berjarak dua langkah dari sungai. Perahu putar tangan, Museum Opera Kunqu, Museum Pingtan, dll semuanya ada di depan pintu. Saya juga ingin menyebutkan bahwa B&B menawarkan parkir gratis, yang sangat jarang. Terakhir, saya ingin memuji staf di B&B. Dari wanita pembersih hingga meja depan, mereka semua melayani dengan senyuman nyaman untuk tinggal di sini.

It's a really pretty hotel, located in the touristic area. We really liked the style of the hotel and the garden. The ladies at the front desk and the hotel staff were all really helpful and kind to us, and were all very polite. When we arrived and when we left, there was a lady who could speak English, she helped us a lot. The only small problem we encountered was, that the fridge in the room was very weak. But the ladies at the front desk helped us, and put my mother's medicine in their fridge, and helped us freeze our ice packs. The breakfast is a traditional Chinese breakfast.

The hotel has everything to have a great journey. It's clean, the room are spacious and beautiful. I had always get a warm welcome from the employees at the entrance. I stayed 2 weeks there. The breakfast is great with many choices. The gym has everything you need but some equipments are a bit old or in bad condition. It can be busy the evening. Also there is a mall next, with many restaurants inside. And a massage center in front by crossing the street (foot massage must be tried during your stay) Laundry service is really expensive (I paid around 80 USD for a small size machine)
