First of all, manager, Manusanka and crew at Scottish Planter Glendevon Bungalow are amazing. We stayed 3 nights. My mom and dad were not feeling well when we got to the bungalow. I was so worried and nervous about the situation. Team was very supportive and they went above and beyond making us feel home and prepared meals according to our requests and it helped my parents to feel better quickly. Mr. Manusanka reassured me that if there is any emergency let them know even if its late night they will be there to help us. Luckily my parents were feeling better the next day and we had a relaxing time there. Team is very kind and compassionate. The location is best to relax and unwind. They have a well maintained vegetable garden. Some juices and meals were prepared from freshly plucked vegetables and fruits from the garden. Chef Bandula prepares incredible dishes. There's a unique taste and variety in the dishes. The taste of the food ignite burst of flavors yet well balanced. One of my favorites is a garden salad he prepares. I am thankful for their great hospitality. We highly recommend the Scottish Planter Buglalow. Also, we will definitely visit the place again.

The hotel was so peaceful and quiet, the hotel was built in the middle of mountains, so it had a wonderful view. The staff was super friendly and helpful The food tasted extremely well. It is not crowded so we spent our vacation in peace. One thing is that there is no TV. But the View totally made up for it.

When considering our stay it’s make much lovely with our requirements. Excellent place with warm service. We were able to request different meals and they did an amazing job by providing quality foods. A very beautiful, peaceful, clean lovely Bungalow situated next to a tea estate with a superb view.Mr Morgan is a valuable asset to the thema collection.Great job Mr Thennakon and chef. Would come again and recommend to others.

Charming historical house with exceptional staff and haute cuisine meals. We just had one night here but we really enjoyed our stay. The manor only has 4 rooms, ours was huge. The house is 125 years old and drafty. We wore our sweatshirts and the staff had fires in the dining hall and sitting room to keep things cozy. Wifi is only available in that one room and it is spotty. There is no television. When the staff is cooking, the power frequently goes out and it is totally dark in the rooms at that point. But they quickly reset the breakers. We considered the quirks part of the charm. Our dinner and breakfast were the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. The only negative for us was the location. It was an hour drive from Nurwala eliya and after a very long day we didn't want an additional hour drive time. Once we saw the place, we were glad that we had chosen this B&B. The staff was incredibly attentive and clearly took pride in the manor and in providing the best guest experience.

This is a beautiful quiet destination to relax in. We had the family suite and it was perfect. We had no other people staying the 4 days we stayed do we had the full attention of the staff. The staff went above snd beyond to make our stay comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner provided. Our 4 course dinners were magnificent. Chef Bandula provided absolutely delicious meals every time. Fresh vegetables, homemade sauces and just the best soups. Everything we ate was just lovely. Manusanka the manager was very good and ensured we didn’t need anything, brining us tea and coffee when required. Morgan (care taker) ensured our rooms were cleaned every day and the fire was lit for us each evening to have dinner by. The staff even enjoyed a game of Currom with us, it was lovely to see them interacting with us. We had a few walks around the bungalow which were lovely, watching the cows and goats the tea leaves. Thank you so much for looking after us. I can highly recommend this place.
