Seprainya sedikit kotor. Tidak ada wifi di sekitar. Kami mengalami kecelakaan dimana kami dikunci di luar ruangan karena ada es yang tersangkut di dalam kunci dan kami tidak dapat membuka dengan kunci. Staf sangat ramah dan membantu untuk membantu kami membuka pintu dengan sedikit lub. Ruangan ini terangnya sangat gelap.
Di musim panas, tempat ini terkenal dengan pendulangan emas. Namun di musim dingin Anda hanya bisa melakukannya di luar ruangan.
Restoran hotel sangat bagus.

We had an amazing time at Tankavaara in December 2023. Firstly the area in winter is absolutely stunning. Secondly the staff were fantastic in the bar area and guides and driver. Shout out to both Kimmos! We chose to stay in the Sompiotalo Deluxe apar**ent which was a 10 minute (very enjoyable) walk from the reception. It is a great apar**ent. In terms of activities we did the northern lights snowmobile tour with Tankavaara (Kimmo 2) which was AMAZING. We also did the Lappish Dinner meal in the traditional Kota and indoor winter gold panning with Kimmo 2. The good museum is also surprisingly really good. We booked husky and reindeer safaris ourselves from Tankavaara recommendations. Absolutely fantastic time.

We stayed at the Tankavaara gold village camps cabins in a four person cabin. The cabin was nice in itself. But on the last night of our stay I woke up to a mouse scratching my arm. Very unpleasant. We decided to leave the cabin in the middle of the night and continue driving southwards towards Rovaniemi. Would not recommend this place.

Beautiful hiking trails nearby and best place to stay in Tankavara. Value for the money and comfortable stay. Staff was really helpful and they provide all the hiking trail maps and easy to rent equipments.

The place is lovely, in a reconstructed gold village with a gold museum, in the National park of Tankavaara. The rooms, apart from wooden cottages in the wood, are in two ugly buildings that indeed disagree with the general idea. My room was small and very basic, beds very uncomfortable, kind of soft sofas with a very thin mattress; the bathroom new and comfortable. Breakfast is quite poor. Lunch and dinner are average. The nicest one was the fire dinner in a small hut with Sami music and a very nice girl of the staff. The activities are well organized. I did snowshoeing in the park with the same nice girl and reindeer sledding by night (no aurora unluckily). The staff is kind and helpful. Wi-Fi works very well also in rooms.

I had visited the place before, this year I spent 3 nights in a cabin of the Gold village (before and after a multiday hike in the area). The cabins are cozy and all gold digger style and just beautiful. Toilet, shower and kitchen are in a separate common building. Depending on which cabin you get, that building will be more or less close. Cabins have nice wooden bunk beds, bed linen, a table, chairs, a fireplace/chimney, chopped wood some shelves. Check-in is in the nearby restaurant, which is also a cozy place with good food and very friendly staff. There are several old buildings and some tiny shops in the Gold Village, you also have the possibility to learn gold panning. The international gold museum is also within walking distance. There's just no supermarkt in the area (the closest grocery store is in Vuotso). Free wifi works close to the reception/restaurant only, not in the cabins etc.

Great cottage in a perfect location. Moreover, you can learn about Gold panning which is an onsite activity as the place used to be a place for gold seekers.
