Tondoris Apartments

I have recently returned from the Tondoris apartments Sidari, and the room I stayed in needed some much needed upgrades from the outside all the blocks look new and modern but once the door is opened then you step back about 20 years. I love to travel to the greek Islands so I know what to expect (basic) but even I was a little surprised, the rooms were large enough but you couldn't open the cupboards and wardrobe fully in the bedroom , the bedding was old and kitchen and shower rooms just need to be upgraded, I know this may be a large undertaking but having looked at others apartment rooms I can see they were of a better standard. I would also like to add when does supplying your own toilet paper come self catering, I have never heard of this before and was really surprised, the AC was very expensive 50€ a unit per week. But apart from those things I did enjoy my first time here, the pool and bar areas are lovely and it's nice to see grass around the sunbeds which there were many, the pool is kept lovely but it is very deep 2.7m at the deep end and it does slope very quickly, the food and drinks were okay, never seen a Greek barman use a measuring glass when pouring spirits and this was the only place I did see this?? The main question would I go back and stay at the Tondoris apartments, probably not as I've seen better accommodation available but I would visit the pool and the area again without a doubt.

This place is in a great location, close to beaches and bars. The staff are great. The pool is good with loads of sunbeds. The room we had no 10 was big on 2 floors. We do expect old dated furniture and kitchens but this place really is old. Could do with a update. The fridge and cooker were probably from the 70s, very rusty but functional. It's clean but old, very old. Would I stay here again? Absolutely yes.

I stayed previously at these apartments about 4 years ago and was shocked in the decline. The rooms have become seriously dated and are desperately in need of an upgrade. The bathrooms are in a worst state.The shower was tiny with a curtain around it, which did not keep the water in, and you ended up flooding into the kitchen area. The toilet was the worst I have used , it never flushed anything away even after repeated flushes, so you had to employ a fly squatter to force things around the bend.The pool area is the saving grace it is a large pool with some new wooden beds around it.The only drawback was it is surrounded by a grassed area which was rarely cut so after the first week the grass was as high as your sunbed. There are overgrown flower beds all around which were also neglected. The bar area is nice but the food and drinks prices are the highest in the area, so take the short walk down the street to get better value for your money. The hardest workers there are the two ladies who do the cleaning, the rooms are clean and the towels changed regularly. The older man in the bar Stefan works hard but the younger ones who takeover when he is gone seem as if they are there on holiday and spend most of there time watching basketball on the large tv.It has a good position on the street and there are plenty of bar's and restaurants within a short walk. I would recommend a walk up the street to Katerinas, or down to the Napoli pizza restaurant, or the Vine cocktail bar.There is also the Kantina which is good for Gyros for a quick snack. In summary the Canal D'Amour is a nice area to visit plenty of bars and restaurants to try out.As for the Tondoris it is just beginning to become a bit dated and rundown but with a bit of investment by the owners it could be good again.

Ok so i hardly ever right reviews based on where we stay due to the fact that i am not one for complaining but i did feel the need to right a review based on these apartments. A great location in sidari. I stayed with my family in a 2 bedroom apartment with a pool view. A very large pool and the apartment was spacious as well as the overall hotel complex. The apartment is in need of modernisation as outdated. I can accept the fact that accommodation in greece can be basic but these apartments do need upgrading. The bathroom was awful. You are not provided with any soap, washing up liquid or a cloth to wash your dishes. The dishes get washed by the cleaner. You are only allowed one toilet roll. You have to purchase your own. The cooker was rusty and i would not use this for cooking. The stairs that lead to the bedroom upstairs are not recommended for very young children as can be a hazard. We booked with tui and we were staying on a bed and breakfast deal. You get served the same breakfast each day. X1 egg, x1 bacon, x1 sausage and beans with 2 pieces of toast and a cup of coffee or tea with a glass of orange juice. There was no other option offered to us. You may have to ask if a vegetarian. Breakfast was nice. Note if you are going on a trip they will not offer you an alternative if you have to leave early such as croissants as when requested we were told by the owner no as i cannot expect my cook to start early for you. Ok that is acceptable but as least be accommodating and provide us with a few croissants. On the day of departure we were not offered breakfast and the owner avoided making contact with us and sat down drinking coffee and smoking his cigarette. We had for the whole holiday 4 breakfast out of 7. Don't bother with bed and breakfast not worrh the extra money. The food and drink in the bar are more costly than other apartments near by and restaurants. I purchased pringles at the bar for €3.50 but the supermarket a few doors down sells these at €1.50. I felt ripped off. This spoke volumes as the number of guests eating there was low. Overall average but i would definitely look at other accommodation if we were to return to sidari. It felt that the owners were only happy to chat to you when spending money there as for their welcome and hospitality and tending to your needs this was not the case.

Where shall I start, 1st of all when we arrived the hotel was all locked up, no one to great us at all, or give us our keys.. instead there was a scrap bit of paper in the alleyway with our door numbers on. The room was so small it's unreal we were number 3 with pool view. So out dated , the kitchen was a shambles, the oven if you can call it on over was on some bedside cabinets, really unsafe to use.. and they were that old we ate out every day.The bathroom was terrible, shower was hanging off the wall.. always ran cold, that's when we could get it working.. only allowed 1 toilet roll per week.. food was terrible at the bar, under cooked and over priced.. so we never used that again.. if I was you I would steer clear of this place, got to say they know how to take a photo to make it look nice... alot better hotels in sidari.. any questions please ask.

Just awful - damp smelly room, water takes ages and warm at best, VERY basic tired rooms. But the worst is the customer service - really u helpful. Not at all interested - told room was damp because it’s an island!! Will definitely not be back. I am not difficult and rarely complain or post bad reviews. Cannot understand how it gets such good reviews.

We've been to Corfu before and used to stay at another superb hotel who sadly switched to Jet2, so we looked at Tondoris last year and I booked for myself and my daughter this year, staying in a two bedroom apartment. We were welcomed by Tsol and shown to a clean and spacious apartment on the ground floor with two private balconies. The pool is illuminated at night and looks lovely. We awoke in the morning and were welcomed by Stefan, Tsol and Nik who are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned and beds made daily. The pool is one of the best in Sidari; it's huge and clean. I'd say that even in peak holiday times there wouldn't be an issue getting sunbeds as there are plenty available. Stefan's Planet Bar has two wide screen tv's and music playing; they serve drinks and food all day and do a good breakfast if you want to stay by the pool for the day. Tondoris is in the quieter part of Sidari about 10 mins walk from the main *****, with plenty of amenities and restaurants around. Canal D'Amour is a 5 minute walk. The boys helped us on our last day too when TUI's coach failed to show up and organised a taxi for us. Happy to recommend Tondoris to all.

Excellent customer service and great food and beverage and Spiro's was very helpful and friendly and had time to talk to you and cover all requests you gave please 🙏 come to the place and see if you are blown away by the home cooking that chef provide see you soon in September from us in Ireland

Great week in the Tondoris Apartments. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful pool and plenty of sun beds for everyone. Rooms lovely and clean. Would’ve been great to have free Wi-Fi in rooms but there was at the bar area. Very reasonable prices. A great time was had by all. Already booked for August 2024!!!!
