The MGM was an incredible stay — a perfect blend of style, comfort, and top-tier service. From the moment I arrived, the attention to detail was clear. The staff were warm and professional, the rooms were sleek and spacious, and the overall atmosphere was pure luxury. The design of the hotel is modern and striking, with a touch of bold personality that sets it apart. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living in a movie. I had such a great experience here and will definitely be coming back. Huge thanks to the entire MGM team for an unforgettable stay.

I was pleasantly surprised. The front desk service was great. The location was great. The new hotel room had no pungent smell. Although the Chinese breakfast was a bit worse, there was German sausage and the cheese was a bit exquisite. However, the room cleaning was really shocking. The first time I stayed, the quilt was messy and the supplies were not replenished. The second time I stayed, the quilt was as shown below. I don't like others touching the bed, and I also bring cotton swabs, toothpaste and other supplies. It doesn't affect me much, but I feel a little funny.

I had a fantastic stay at this apartment! The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect during my visit. Their warm hospitality really made a difference. The location is also excellent — close to everything you might need and very convenient for getting around the city. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Shanghai and would absolutely stay here again!

It’s so nice hotel, clean and quiet! Specially Mr. July very charming, professional guy, when we asked to extend the check out time, he understood and accepted to extend check out time! We are happy to stay in this hotel, and sure will come next time!

I spent valebtines day here with my wife and it was jist what we wanted. Wonderful bar, comfortable room with a really cool view. It's in a super cool neighborhood with great western and Asian restaurants, bars, nearby. It was a perfect valentines day for me and my wife.

Good things first: location is good as it’s close to metro and near Jiajia tang bao! Staff were really pleasant and friendly! However the room layout is awful! The showroom is right next to the front door which means the bath mat needs to be placed right next to the door where it’s most likely to be dirty. And if you happen to open the door at the same time when someone enters, good luck with door smashing and no privacy! Next to the shower cubicle is the toilet which is facing the mirror and the toilet door is made of glass! So if the lights are on and someone is sitting on the toilet, what a view for another person in the room to observe! And we were travelling with a young kid so extra trouble! The light panel was on the same level with the bed which wasn’t an obvious problem until lights suddenly turned on three times between midnight and 2am, I figured it was caused by our pillows slightly overhanging above the control panel! So many careless design flaws that makes our stay very stressful. The worst is that the smoke detector was wrapped by toilet tissue! Clearly the previous guests had found a way to deactivate the smoke detector to have a cigarette! Had anyone carried out basic inspection this would have been fixed but clearly there is lack of supervision and management. Overall I do not recommend especially when travelling with family or care for privacy.

It’s my first stay @ Jianguo Shanghai Hotel. Jianguo Shanghai Hotel is located at the busy Xujiahui business district of Shanghai. Its surroundings are full of vibrancy with the Xujiahui station [Line 1, Line 9 and Line 11] close to the hotel. The hotel facilities are modern & up to date. The beds are huge and very comfortable. The sofa in the hotel room is an added bonus. Even the toilet amenities are provided for the guests. Buffet breakfast @ Jianguo Shanghai Hotel is a delight! There is a wide selection of food which are satisfying to the taste buds. A great place to stay in Shanghai for sure! Will surely make a comeback when I visit Shanghai the next time! YAY!

Very big rooo and comfort... Fully equiped with everything....next to a local shopping mall and easy to find food....a bit far from Metro but very convenient to get taxi..
