The room was great, clean, and tidy. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was punctual. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but it covered all the essentials. Parking was convenient, right in the courtyard. Overall, a positive experience!

The service is great they are very nice and polite , I liked how the room is clean and well equipped , the atmosphere is calm , they also provide bus for people heading to the airport

I have stayed here many times because it is extremely convenient and I have had good experiences before, but I am afraid I can’t recommend this hotel again until they solve the WiFi situation. I normally choose the north building because it is cheaper and perfectly nice but after having terrible WiFi connections for my last two stays I decided to spend a bit more and choose the south building. It is decorated a little nicer but otherwise I don’t notice much difference. When I arrived at my room the WiFi was not connecting and the front desk sent a maintenance worker to my room who logged in using a phone number I think. It shouldn’t be necessary to go through all that and then the WiFi speed is still quite poor. So next time I think I will try the new hotel next door that is also convenient and seems to have better reviews for just a bit more money. I like to save money but not to get a poor experience. It seems a simple and necessary thing for this hotel to handle and I will gladly be back again if they do.

A Perfect Golden Week Stay – Exceeded All Expectations! We stayed at this hotel during the busy Golden Week holiday and were absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the impeccable cleanliness throughout the entire property. Our room was not only spotless but also beautifully appointed—modern, comfortable, and provided a wonderful retreat after long days of exploring. The service was truly excellent. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to be helpful. They made us feel valued and well taken care of. The breakfast was good. The location is a huge plus for travelers. Being so close to Pudong Airport made our arrival and departure completely stress-free. It was also incredibly convenient for visiting Shanghai Disneyland, just a short ride away. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel for our holiday. Highly recommended!

Somehow got this mixed up with the Holiday Inn that's by the airport... Be aware this one involves a ~35min ride in a little mini-bus which isn't ideal for a late night layover arrangement. That said, the staff were helpful and acccomodating, and the facilities were good and clean. The shower was good, decent pressure. Little line in there to hang a couple of things on so I could wash + dry them. Very handy. Comfortable bed. Basically everything here is great and good value, but the location is not the best, and the time spent getting there and back on the shuttle bus schedule is time that could be spent sleeping, so bear that in mind.

We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Airport. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The free shuttle bus to the airport was perfectly organized and very convenient, which made it an excellent choice for an overnight stay before an early flight. Overall, a top hotel and highly recommended for travelers looking for a hassle-free and comfortable stop near the airport.

I communicated our pick up needs to hotel at regular intervals and keot them updated about our flight. Advised would be arriving a little early due to flight. Was told to call after landing - no answer. Tried messaging on we chat took a while for response. No clear directions. So arrived at exit after clearing customs and collecting bags. Then told to go back upstairs to gate 3 departures. Waited out there for a long time. Over half an hour. Many other hotels collected people with many others coming and going while we waited. One hotel had 3 vehicles with their name on it pick up patrons in the time we were standing there. I can now see why we were the only ones going to Novotel. Clearly the driver did not leave the hotel after long after we advised we had arrived. When he did turn up in a rundown silver van with no name on it. He drove like a mad man and dangerously. He think he was trying to make up for time. He was rather rude when he dropped us off, not a word from him. Check in experience was no better. Two girls on reception were talking **** about us - yes I had my translator on after explaining our check in details to them. Very poor service and actually unprofessional behaviour. Room service had finished so we weren't able to get anything to eat. Did not feel able nor did I want to speak with front desk again to ask for assistance in ordering some food. Only staff that was friendly or even acknowledged us was the lovely cleaning lady on our floor the following morning. Breakfast was okay. Laundry was a mess from another lady who pulled out all her washing dripping wet and made a huge puddle on the floor. If there had been a towel I would have cleaned up her mess! We wish we had gone straight to the hotel we had originally planned to but opted for the Novotel due to close proximity to airport for our late flight back into Shanghai. We would have been better off going straight to the original hotel over an hour away. I believe we still would have arrived earlier. We have stayed at Novotel Auckland Airport in New Zealand a few times and the service is impeccable. Unfortunately Novotel Shanghai Pudong Chuansha is not a good representation of the Novotel brand. Also considering this an airport hotel with many tourists likely utilizing it - very few things have English translation including the vending machine. The hotel building itself is nice and the only positive. Won't be back - step up your game. I usually do rave reviews and very rarely do negative unless warranted.

The hotel proactively contacted us the day before arrival via message, providing airport pickup and check-in information. Their complimentary airport shuttle runs hourly without prior booking, which is highly convenient for international travelers. Even on a typhoon night, the driver departed from the airport exactly on time. The front desk staff were incredibly service-oriented, friendly, and efficient. They even proactively asked if we needed to book a shuttle for our return to the airport. When we checked out, we hailed our own taxi, and the front desk staff promptly opened the gate, allowing the car to drive right up to the hotel entrance. The room was quite clean, but despite being a non-smoking room, there was a strong smell of smoke when we first entered. Having flown for 16 hours, we were too exhausted to bother changing rooms, so we just opened the windows to ventilate. However, the bathroom exhaust fan continuously emitted a smoky smell, likely due to other guests disregarding the rules, not the hotel's fault. Soundproofing was a bit disappointing; the adjacent room's doorbell often made me think it was ringing in my own room. I suspect they experienced the same confusion when my doorbell rang, as they also opened their door. The laundry room offered complimentary washing machines and dryers, along with detergent and disinfectant, which was very convenient for guests. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay and found it offered excellent value for money. I would definitely book this hotel again for future layovers in Pudong.

It had been a while since my last visit, but as I always choose this hotel when I come to Disney, I booked Yunhe Yebo again this year. I was pleasantly surprised to discover they now offer a late-night buffet (though I was too full to try it every night, lol!). But judging by the crowd in the restaurant, the food must be really good! All the hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful; any issues I had were quickly resolved. After a tiring day at Disney, I saw on Xiaohongshu that the hotel provides foot bath buckets. I quickly went to the front desk to inquire, and luckily, there was still one available, or I would've missed out, haha! (The front desk delivers them individually to registered rooms.) Next time, I'll definitely request it in advance, as they might run out during peak hours, hehe. I'll definitely be back next time!

On my way back from Hokkaido to Changsha, I had a layover in Shanghai. This hotel had high ratings among airport hotels, so here's my actual stay experience: 1. The location is acceptable, approximately a 12-15 minute walk to Pudong T1 or T2. 2. The room was relatively quiet; I wasn't bothered by noise, which can often be an issue at airport hotels. 3. I had specifically requested a room far from the elevator, and it turned out to be quite a long walk. Hauling two large suitcases across the carpet was a significant effort. 4. We booked a king-sized room, priced at over 1200 RMB. It came with a small sofa and a small round table. The king bed was large enough to comfortably accommodate two adults and one child without feeling cramped. 5. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation, though it was on the more compact side. 6. The breakfast spread was quite extensive, catering to both Chinese and Western tastes. This was definitely the highlight of my stay. 7. The hotel also has a gym equipped with two treadmills, two elliptical machines, one strength training machine, and dumbbells. It's sufficient for a basic workout if you want to keep up with your exercise routine.
