We didn't know how to get to Lugu Lake Hotel from Dali, so we called in the middle of the night the day before to inquire. Our dog Youzi welcomed us by biting a water bottle. After checking in, Ms. Wang helped us carry our luggage to the room. She told us that we could order the hotel's mushroom hotpot from the tour group and tell her what time we wanted to eat. She would ask the restaurant to prepare it in advance. She made us feel at home. It is worth mentioning that the room has an independent washing machine, an oxygen machine, and an unbeatable lake view. You can also see the stars at night. It is highly recommended.

The main feeling is warm and comfortable in my heart, and each room has a corresponding group. If you have any needs, just say it in the group. The brother always says to find them at any time. The homestay also has a laundry room, and the Dyson hair dryer is invincible and easy to use! This price corresponds to the invincible cost performance! There is also a special night white fungus soup, which is really thoughtful, and the breakfast is also very good!

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Probably the only place in Lugu lake where foreigners could stay. The young staff have limited English but more than make up for it with their level of service and the translator app. They even set up a groups chat in WeChat just to advise us and ensure we were in touch. Location is great (except for the fact that there’s the road below the hotel) Hotel itself is brilliant. Phenomenal rooms. Great meals. Very personal touch and an ever willing / cheerful / helpful group of very competent youngsters managing. The whole crew looked under 30 but did a great job. Was an absolute pity we only stayed 2 nights. Next time a week at least! Definitely coming back.

After arriving at the property, I realised it was worth having a lake view room, so I upgraded to the Double Bed with Lake View and bathtub. The room is huge and the view of the lake from the windows is spectacular. It was amazing to just sit by the window and enjoy the view and the breeze. In the morning I watched the sunrise through the window. The hotel has excellent service. The two young men at reception were very kind, helpful and gentlemanly. They insisted on carrying my small bag up to the third floor and happily resolved all my queries. The cleanliness was not bad, but there were a few strands of hair around the room. Otherwise it was clean. There were lots of amenities, the bed was extremely comfortable and the rain shower was perfect. Downstairs, you could step directly onto the lake, and the property has two very cute cats. The Lake View Double Room came with an in room afterboon tea (very much needed after the long journey to reach Lugu Lake) and a healthy Chinese style breafast. All up, an extremely comfortable stay and one of the highlights of my trip to China.

A homestay that made my trip to Lugu Lake very comfortable and pleasant. It is mainly very quiet. Unlike Daluoshui Village, which is too commercialized, Rig Village will be relatively quieter. The starry sky is bright at night, but it’s a pity that Apple phones can’t capture its beauty. I think that after several years, if I have the opportunity to visit Lugu Lake again, I would still like to stay in this homestay in Rig, where I feel at home and can feel the warmth and happiness of cats and dogs’ hands☺️.
