It's a small but beautiful IHCL hotel just in front of Sasan Gir bhawan from where safari starts. Kathiawari thali is excellent. The staff is well-***nered and very good. The hotel property has been maintained well. The paintings on the wall are very beautiful

Girserai this property of IHCL it will always remain in our heart as unique home away from home. Location, staff behaviour,ambience and a***eties everything was pitch perfect. Specially want to mention Apu and Moumita for their multitasking ability ,they were excellent no matter when it comes to full filling guests need by their hospitality or perform singing to make guests stay memorable and joyful. I must say IHCL hired such precious jewel to make their guests staying experience and extra unique touch. Kudos to them.

One of the best place in Sasan Gir. Having a sips of tea in a balcony facing forest is lovely experience. Rooms are nice, with excellent sitting area on the first floor with play area with table tennis, souvenir shop. Nice photographs showcasing Gir Wildlife.

Resort is very good and close to the Safari Booking Office Sinh Sadan. There's a pickup drop facility for Gir Safari Booking. The Hotel bas good amenities a fantastic staff amazing food and best ambience admist the Gir Jungle. The Reception staff is very helpful and supportive in nature. Overall a Good experience. Would recommend to friends and family.

Avg. Hotel,did not appear selections category, ranthambore taj is so good. I didnt like it.no ac in lobby, not much activities in the hotel.rooms are ok, furniture is not classy.not to visit in summers,no safari desk as this will b my 5th safari hotel as everywhr the hotel gives u safari bookings.lobby wall left side painted in loud,giddy colors,pls maintain classy look of the hotel.

I stayed @ Gir Serai in May 2024 with my family. Gir Serai is located near the banks of the Hiran River, a bit secluded (yet very approachable) from the town of Sasan, which brings peace and tranquillity to your stay. The property has the charm of a Dak bungalow or a government building of the first half of the 20th century. The mosaic flooring kicks in nostalgia for people like me who have spent their childhood in government accommodations and schools. But that also comes with the fact that they do not have any lifts on this property. Although since this is only a 3-story property that would not be a problem for most people. However, if you are travelling with a person with a disability, it would be a good idea to inform the hotel about this well in advance so that they can provide you with a room on the ground floor. My suggestion to IHCL is that this fact should be explicitly stated on their website as well as on each reservation confirmation so that anyone who might be affected due to the lack of lifts can be made aware in advance. We caught a glimpse of a group of langurs as we entered the main gate of the property. We arrived almost just in time for our evening safari on day one. However, as I had already informed the staff about our arrival and safari timing they had pre-informed the Gypsy driver who also arrived there as we were checking in. Upon arrival, I found the property to be beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The checking was very smooth and the staff was very courteous. The rooms were spacious, well-lit and well-furnished. Our 2 rooms had balconies providing views of the river. As I was travelling with my infant they provided a crib in our room. The bathroom was well-supplied and the water pressure was excellent. As we returned from our evening safari we called for some tea that was served to us at the reception hall itself ***** with delicious cookies. Thereafter we had our dinner at their restaurant called Gum Tree. The portion size was huge but I felt that the taste could be improved. The next day we had breakfast as we returned from our morning safari. The breakfast spread was nice and the food was tasty. We had bought some local Kesar ***gos and asked the restaurant staff if they could cut a couple of ***gos for us and prepare smoothies with the rest. I am very thankful as they accepted our request and came up with a plate of cut fruit and excellent smoothies. For fun and entertainment, they have bicycles, a swimming pool, swings and slides at the property. My family had an exceptional time over there and we would love to return someday.

Gir Serai is very beautiful … the place has the vibes of a colonial hunting lodge with good luxury adding. The staff is very hospitable and extremely supportive. The restaurant serves delicious and well made food a luxurious surroundings. The cherry on the food experience is the amazing singing perfor***ce by Moumita and Apu. I would like to put a special mention for Moumita- very helpful and goes the extra mile to ensure the guest feel welcome and ensures quality service whether it is getting the safari jeeps or doing a beautiful perfor***ce in singing.

Thanks to everyone in the team at Taj, Gir for the amazing stay! We enjoyed the pool, the great food, the great location of the resort by the jungle. Thanks to the staff at the front desk for helping us board the safari jeeps right at the resort! Thank you!

Please remove the Taj tag from your property. Pros 1) Smiling and helpful momita Cons 1)Food is extremely tasteless, we took an all inclusive package where food came in parts for lunch after repeated requests of putting it on the table in the centre as we are a group of 14. Half lunch was over then chola/Dal came, we din't know what was on the menu, kept requesting them. We are compelled to eat 1 meal a day out due to the poor quality of food in the hotel. Unfriendly staff at the restaurant, unadjusting, frowny and rigid. 2) dated rooms, bathrooms, corridors and amenities. You expect better from a ihcl or even a gateway property. 3) spa was very very bad, masseuse had no idea what she was doing, surely not relaxing at all, infact the opposite. The oil, cream used were of poor quality. Not a place to recommend at all, people would come seeing the Taj tag but after that it's a disaster. Please work on up keeping the place, have more smiling staff around.
