We've stayed at pearl river garden for 3 nights, overall, we have enjoyed our stay. Everyone at the hotel are so friendly and welcoming from the day we arrived. (Which we value this more than anything) Special shout out to Jim, who has made the stay very memorable. The room is clean, though not very spacious, but it was ok for us, a family of four. Great location, probably one of the best locations in the area, easy access to the beach, very family friendly. The only drawback, if there is any, would be the pungent smell that hits me every time I walk in the room, I'm guessing it's the cleaning chemical they use around the hotel rooms. All in all, Thank you Jim and everyone in the hotel for looking after us during the stay, will definitely recommend anyone who wishes to stay in the area. This is a geniuen review made after the departure (not some awkward on the spot review). I hope this is useful to others.

The hotel was decent but didn’t quite have a grand or true 5-star feel. The room was spacious and clean, but the view was just okay, as the jetty somewhat disrupted it.

Stayed 4 days in a hotel. The hotel is located nearby the biggest shopping mall in dadunhai area, which provides a big number of attractions inside, fine dining and shopping. Dadunhai beach is okay with well developed infrastructure. Breakfast is perfect with a huge amounts of dishes both European, Russian and Chinese cuisine.

Thanks to Butler Wendy who is helpful in helping us upgrade to a Bigger and Better Sea View Apartment. It comes with a bathtub on the balcony. We just arrived at the hotel (after a red eye flight), she recommended a Coconut Chicken Hot pot next to the hotel and even brought us there. She constantly checks in with us to ensure that our stay is comfortable. Pros: 1. The location is convenient near the Sanya City so traveling around for food and attractions is easy with DiDi (taxi). 2. The bed is comfy. The apartment comes with a washing machine, fridge and induction cooker (but may have to ask them for the pots) 3. Breakfast is a good spread with Chinese and Western food options. Most importantly, breakfast time is till 1 pm. Cons: 1. Wifi is very very weak, and can't be used at all. And being a tourist (foreigner) we have to use our precious data roaming. 2. There is no chair and table at the balcony which does not allow us to sit and relax at the balcony. 3. The Swimming pool strangely is located outside of the hotel in a public space. So it feels weird going down for a swim. 4. There is no beach front but there is a beautiful pathway leading to Phoenix Island, so the walking and jogging is pleasant.

This hotel was very accommodating to our needs. When we complained that the original room wasn't up to our standards they moved us into a new room. And even were able to move our belongings into the new room while we went outside to play. I would recommend this hotel to families as the swimming pool is very good for young children with the water slides and the play thing.

TLDR: Had really high expectations when I booked this 5 diamond hotel, however the stay experience fell short from the expectations. The Good: + Was offered room upgrade to sea view room during checked in. + Interior and exterior design of the hotel is really sets a relaxing tone to the entire stay. + It was a nice touch having Bellboys to help us with luggage and open doors whenever we arrive at the hotel lobby + Staffs and cleaners greeted us was also a nice touch + Breakfast options are extensive (including fresh juice bar and daily special juice concoction) + Free hotel activities to do daily + Gym is well maintained and a good number of machines The Bad - (Presales) Didn’t appreciate the fact that the booking page didn’t state the hotel deposit amount (which is slightly more than 1 time the hotel room price) and was only mentioned during check-in. Prior the trip, I tried to ask about whether there’s any hotel deposit via Trip.com message to hotel function and there’s no reply at all. (I mean a 3 diamond star hotel I stayed previous replied… but a 5 diamond star hotel didn’t). - (Not controllable) Sadly, there’s construction going on and can see cranes and construction machinery hindering the view of the sea, as well as the noises. - There’s supposedly a butler assigned to each guest, but my butler only added me on WeChat several hours after checkin. Also, was asking the butler about one of the afternoon hotel was still going on as we reached the venue and there’s no one around. He said he will check and then no reply for 20mins before I messaged him to inform that we won’t be waiting anymore. Didn’t appreciate that there’s no follow up. - The shower control knob will suddenly fall off at certain angle which can be rather dangerous given that it has quite a weight to it. - The bathtub’s shower head keeps leaking when we turned the other tap on to fill the bathtub, and we had to put the shower head into the bathtub to prevent flooding. All in all, it fell short on expectations in terms of the service compared to the service my partner and I had experienced in a 3 diamond star hotel at a fraction of this hotel’s price. Nonetheless, it is really a gorgeous place to stay in. Tastefully decorated and smell really great. Most of the staffs are friendly.

I chose this hotel on the first day I arrived in Hainan. I only chose one day at that time because I wanted to take a look first, but after checking in, I decided to stay for another day. If I hadn't gone to other places to play, I would have stayed until I left Hainan! First of all, the facilities are very complete, everything is available, very good! The sanitation is very clean, the mood is pleasant, the environment is beautiful, and it is very comfortable! ! Finally, the service is absolutely first-class. As soon as I took a taxi to the door, a butler came to help with the luggage immediately, and the attitude was very enthusiastic! Familiar introduction process, the work is in place! ! ! When the time comes, he is also enthusiastic to remind various activities, the afternoon tea is perfect, and the mood is beautiful! I must give a thumbs up to this housekeeper Chen 👍, which made my trip very enjoyable! Thank you! You have worked hard!

We had a delightful stay at this accommodation! As we hired a private car to fetch us from railway station, we did not get the hotel to arrange for a pickup. It was actually a wrong move, especially on rainy days. We had a bit of adventure finding the accommodation from the main road (yellow dragon street) where we had to alight but thankfully, after we called the accommodation, one of their staff came out to look for us. The room we booked was on the same floor with the living room area of the accommodation where anyone could just peep to the mini pool that we had - so, not much privacy in that sense. We were uncomfortable initially as we were not used to but after a while, we felt ok. The room was good enough for us, the aircon was great, water pressure was fine etc. The bed was just of the right firmness for us as Asians. The power plugs were all working well. It was really beautiful watching sunrise and sunset from the balcony. I strongly recommend the room #301 if privacy isn't that important for you at the mini pool. The only thing that could not be helped was that there were pretty much of insects and maybe Sand flies, which, none the fault of the accommodation. My suggestion is to please bring insect repellant and spray a lot. I got bitten so badly (no, I did not even go to the beach) that I had to see doctor the minute I landed on my home ground. I do not mind going back to the same room again if I travel to Sanya again and for sure, please, if you are looking for instagrammable accommodation, this place is nothing sort of awesome content you can create!

Parking is convenient, check-in is fast, the room is comfortable, the price is not expensive, the environment is good, surrounded by mango orchards, and there are very fragrant flowers planted in front of the door. I heard that they are called tuberose, which only blooms at night. The room is clean and the facilities and equipment are also complete. Xiaoli at the front desk provided very good service

Great place with great amenities. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Very clean as well. Very close to the beach, a walk away (5m) from pick up point, but there are shuffle services at 5yuan per pax. Overall a very pleasant place to stay! Would definitely come back.
