Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with this hotel, although it has many positive reviews. Let's start with the good. The rooms are very spacious, the bed, pillows, and linens are excellent—everything is comfortable. The ocean view room has a nice view from the balcony. There are robes, slippers, and all the necessary amenities. The breakfasts are good, even if you don't like Chinese food. You can eat fruits, toasts, cereal, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bread, coffee, and so on. We eat Chinese food, so we were happy with the breakfasts. The hotel has a pool and a small spa pool with fish; I highly recommend it. There were no insects, except for one night when mosquitoes attacked. That's where the positives end. The hotel is old, but that's not too bad. It's not well maintained. The paint is peeling in places, some light bulbs didn't work, the curtain was damaged in three places. There are cigarette’s traces on the sofas, etc. The lobby is constantly smoky. The location is inconvenient, although the bus stop is nearby. But there's nowhere to walk here; you have to go to another area. The rooms were poorly cleaned. The swimming pool isn't in the hotel, but on the street next to the hotel. You have to go downstairs, exit the hotel, cross the path, and then climb the stairs. Room cleaning: they changed only one robe each time, even though there were only two of us in the room. The mugs weren't washed. Once, they didn't refill the tea. Most importantly, this is the first Chinese hotel I can remember that didn't wish its guests a happy birthday. It was my husband's birthday, and they didn't even write him a note congratulating him, let alone a cake or any kind of nice token from the hotel. Other hotels always gave him some kind of nice gift. It's very sad that the birthday fell on this hotel; I could say they ruined it. The service here is nonexistent; don't expect any.
