"I took my child to this hot spring resort during the holiday, and this hotel is definitely one of the best I've ever stayed at. It made me feel right at home. From the pre-arrival call to check-out, every step was handled perfectly. I booked a private hot spring room, which was huge, about 80 square meters. The hot spring tub could easily fit eight or nine people. At check-in, the front desk gave my child some snacks and bath balls. The hot spring water was amazing, around 40 degrees Celsius – perfect for a soak. My child didn't want to leave! Luckily, it's nearby. I'll definitely bring my child back during the Chinese New Year. I highly recommend it; you won't regret it!"

"If you're coming to Shanzhou, you absolutely have to experience a pit-dwelling guesthouse! I highly recommend this one; I stumbled upon it by chance, and it's an absolute gem. The one I stayed in is a renovated century-old courtyard. As you walk down the path, you immediately experience the unique warmth in winter and coolness in summer that these pit dwellings offer. It's truly a summer haven (especially coming from Hangzhou, where it hits a scorching 40 degrees!). In the evenings, a gentle breeze flows through the courtyard, and you can look up to see a sky full of stars. With sunflowers growing everywhere, it's 100 times more comfortable than a hotel. Sitting in the courtyard creates such a wonderful atmosphere. I strongly recommend dining here; they serve incredibly authentic farm-to-table dishes that you simply won't find anywhere else. The Shanzhou specialties like braised carp, braised eggplant, and stir-fried green beans are all so flavorful and incredibly moreish, especially when paired with their handmade steamed buns – you'll want to lick the plate clean! You can eat until you're stuffed for just 30 RMB per person. I can't forget these flavors, and I'll definitely be back if I get the chance!"

Back in my room, I checked my booking on my phone and discovered that Platinum VIP members could upgrade their rooms, so I went back downstairs to ask. The first thing the receptionist said was that I hadn't mentioned it during check-in, and the second thing she asked was, "Did you touch anything in the room after you went upstairs?" I said I hadn't even unpacked my luggage, but they insisted on checking with housekeeping before they believed me! Seriously? Do you think we're old enough to lie to people? What's even more ridiculous is that their "room upgrade" just means getting the same type of room on the next floor? That's just cheating! Luckily, they eventually gave me a real upgrade. Of course, there was also a minor incident with the air conditioning later on, but I'm too tired to talk about it now. Lying in bed at night, bored, I scrolled through my booking again and noticed it listed as including coffee and attraction tickets. The front desk gave me the same old response: "Why didn't you mention this when you checked in?" I was baffled. Shouldn't the hotel proactively inform guests about these benefits? If they can't afford to offer them, they shouldn't even mention them to fool people! I didn't get to enjoy any of the expected special offers!"
