Kings Arms Hotel

The bar staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Plenty of choice on the menu, we had the curry which was superb. Really good atmosphere and cosy interior. No Beer was good too ! The pub is 16th century and ideally situated with good parking nearby.

Found this lovely pub on a rainy Sunday. All of the staff are lovely and so welcoming. We both had the Spanish Mussels off the light bite meal - it was absolutely delicious - highly recommend if you like chorizo. They also serve London Pride which hit the spot!

Very disappointed with the room, very very dated and small. The bed was so uncomfortable and very small, I did not sleep at all. The room was very very hot, could have done with fans in the room. The curtains had holes in them. The room had a funny fusty smell, the ensuite was tiny, not enough room to even dry yourself when you got out of the shower.When we arrived they took our payment for the room and we were shown to the room and basically the lady left with no instructions or information . We did not eat here as we had a table booked with other friends in town. We returned to the hotel/bar at 10.30pm for a drink, and the whole place was closed, lights off and we had no idea how to get in so had to skulk around trying doors, not a very nice experience. We presumed that because the hotel had a restaurant that we would either have breakfast included for the price or would be able to pay for it, but they do not serve breakfast. We basically did not see anyone when we checked out and did not have instructions where to leave the keys so just left them in the door. We will not be staying here again.

Small dated room. Wi-Fi non existent. Television didn’t work. Checked in and out with a cash refund (unable to re credit my card) from a very rude unsympathetic staff member. Stayed here a few times before as it’s convenient for the golf courses. Won’t be returning. Went to Holiday Inn express up the road, cheaper modern room, great TV and Wi-Fi.

Decided on a last minute trip to Dover and selected to stay in Sandwich as quieter. Couldnt have had a nicer welcome from George and Kelsea in the Bar, lovely people really friendly and chatty. Room was lovely and quaint, with slopey ceilings and walls, just like youd expect in a building so old! Brass everywhere in the bar, gorgeously maintained huge roses in the garden, and John the owner… who took over around 17months ago is the best scottish man iv met! What a top bloke, couldnt do enough for us. All round was a really good experience. And the food… John was right the Chicken burger was one of the best iv had and the steak my prtner had was so big and juicy! Unfortunately breakfast wasnt available as the poor guy was poorly, but they complimented us drinks off the bill instead which tbh we preffered. Lovely locals to chat to everyones really friendly and such a laugh. Thank you all for your jokes and laughter and catering to my very fussy dinner needs. We’ll be back now we’re Heritage members lol. Thank you again!

Jason and the team are brilliant. Lovely warm atmosphere, with big smiles and willing conversation from all the staff. Nice selection of beers, spirits and bar snacks. Food is superb! Highly recommend and will be returning more frequently!
