So nice hotel for business trip, clean, comfotable location. Very safe area. Inroom service also delicious and fanstacitc. Always stay this hotel when visit JNB.

The room I booked was spacious and clean. The location is great if you want to be around ROSEBANK.

The hotel, staff, and restaurants were absolutely fantastic! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and the dining options were exceptional. We truly enjoyed the warm hospitality and thoughtful service throughout our visit. Highly recommend!

I booked this hotel without doing too much research just because I knew of the Wanderers Club. The hotel is right next to the club which is open to non members and is absolutely stunning. The hotel is very clean, friendly and safe. Breakfast is very good and the bar has a great verandah. Parking is free. In less than 20 minutes you reach central Johannesburg or Sandton. Parkhurst is only 10 minutes away and I recommend it for a meal out. I always used to stay in Sandton but I much prefer this location. Special thanks to Derik and Musa who made our stay very special.

Poor and erratic water pressure resulting in very hot water only sometimes for a lengthy period. A severe hazard to scalding and burns. The sink is small and does not give much space to wash your hands. Vanity area is small with limited amenities. No electrical outlet in the bathroom for hair drying. Wind blows at something that knocks against the external wall in the room. Room 702. Room service is average and room is clean…only consolation.

Wow - where to start.... Arrived at the hotel at 19:00 on Tuesday 26 November - was told my room is not available as an airline crew just checked out (4 hours after my room was supposed to be available). We then decided to go to dinner, came back at about 20:50 my room is still not available. I hung around till about 21:10. I then went up to my room - door was open, window was open, there were no towels and the toilet was still dirty. At about 21:15 i was given my room key.... more than 6 hours after actual check in time. My colleagues toilet was also not cleaned - so clearly a norm for this hotel. How is this ok and all I'm told is the crew only checked out at 19:00 - how is this my problem? How was 1 client given a late check out at the expense of another client. Strangely this happened to me in 2015 - same hotel.

We booked for a one night stay ( checked in Friday and checked out Saturday), so that we could go to the Wandereers sadium for the international cricket match. Check-in was seamless - quick and fast - thank you Joachim. The property has been recently refurbished. The interior design and layout is comfortable and modern. The room was clean , neat , with every modern feature/amenities on hand. The design and decor of the room is fab as it creates a lovely ambiance. Fantastic access via the Wanderers club to reach the stadium from the hotel - good easy walk. Security personnel are hands on and visible which is very reassuring. After the match we went to the outside bar/restaurant dining area - it was lovely and picturesque. Comfortable seating and layout and exceptional customer service. Big shout out to MUSA, NONDUMISO and SECHABA from the dining /outside bar restaurant area. They personfiy customer centricity with their fantastic service levels - super impressive. The food, drinks and beverages we ordered , was really good. The food was tasty and freshly prepared. Thank you to NOMA for a seamless checkout and service with a smile. Overall would recommend the hotel.

I stayed here for 2 nights for afterwork meeting. The hotel is situated on a golf course/outdoor recreation area, which makes it picturesque. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. They also have a shuttle that will take you to nearby areas such as the Sandton Mall. The staff was very friendly, and even helped me run some errands the first day. A really great hotel and I would stay there again if I were in Johannesburg.

We picked this hotel for a one-night stay at Johannesburg on a layover, and we feel we made the right choice. Good location, friendly personnel, we were checked in earlier than anticipated (which was amazing after a tiring flight). The room was spacious, clean, everything worked perfectly well and we slept like babies. Our rate didn't include breakfast, we bought it on the spot - good selection of different cold and warm foods, eggs made to order, juices etc. Coffee was a bit weak. Overall - it was very decent, would definitely stay here again.

We were in a king room facing the back, the room was average size with a desk, a closet with a safe and a smallish bathroom. Checkin was easy, the front desk staff is very pleasant and helpful specially Phumla who was always there to help with a smile. We did not eat at the restaurant. They offer shuttle services to Mandela Square, Rosebank Mall and station and Melrose area. This was the most convenient benefit and the shuttle drivers are very polite and ready to assist. You can take a Gau (how) train to the airport and main station from where you can take the hop off/hop on bus. There are several restaurants and shops at the 3 malls / areas where the shuttle takes you so a wide choice. We took a cab from the airport which was a bit expensive but the train from standton station works just fine. The hotel has beautiful grounds in front as part of the Wanderers club. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a lovely clean room with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and spacious. The room was well furnished and had AC and a TV. The pool area was lovely and we spent an afternoon there. The lounge was great and we enjoyed the Happy Hour. We had a delicious dinner in the dining room. The staff are very professional and helpful. We would definitely return here!

That was our first time in Johannesburg, and we booked this Hotel, trusting the well-established Hotel chain. We stayed 2 nights in this Protea Hotel Wanderers, and we could not imagine better deal. Hotel is only 15 Minutes away from the Johannesburg International Airport. We ordered a Hotel transfer, was about 35 Euro. Fair for safe and smooth arrival to the Hotel. Hotel looks very inviting, light and fresh colours. Nice furniture and design of public areas. All facilities are modern and well maintained. Separate note on friendly stuff, as we noticed that not in whole SA service is up to the modern hospitality standards. All associates were very nice, attentive and always had a spare smile for us :) Additional plus for us was a Hotel free Shuttle, which goes to the mail start point of sightseeing Red hop-on-hop-off Bus. Very convenient! We liked as well a quality and variety of food and drinks in this Hotel. Was so nice to sit in their Bar, or at the cosy pool side, enjoying a green of a neighbouring sports club. Hotel is situated in nice upscaled residence area, which brought additional value due to safety reasons for us. All in all, we were absolutely happy to spend part of our special vacation in this Hotel and for sure will recommend this to our friends, when they will plan their trips to Johannesburg.
