Sandston Inn

They were renovating but the room was in rough condition and we both felt unsafe sleeping there. To their credit nothing happened and the staff was very friendly.

cleaning supplies left in the room we walked into (mop & bucket), beds weren’t made, the floor was dirty, & the door didn’t fully close. second room we walked into didn’t have 2 beds like we paid for. 3rd bedroom smelled like old smoke.

# 124 was extra clean. I was pleasantly surprised. No homeless living there. Will stay there again soon.

Newly renovated room was great, could have used a chair in the room but worked good for my needs without it.

Great for business travel! Sure, the outside of the property needs work, but this was absolutely perfect for our business trip. Definitely worth staying if you are just in there to sleep and shower-- sheets were clean, bathroom was clean, and check in was easy-- which is all we can ask for in our travels!

This hotel was being renovated in certain parts. My room looked mostly renovated but had some issues with it. A hole in the bottom of the wall. Bar over the tub was loose and I was worried that it would snap and fall. The bottom wall border next to the bed and near the bathroom was loose too. Tv turned on but didn’t have any channels working. Traffic outside and the airport nearby made a lot of noise because of the vehicles and airplanes. Room key failed multiple times and had to get that dealt with which was frustrating. There were some good things though. The bed was fairly comfy. The air-conditioning unit seemed to work fairly well. Microwave and fridge worked fine too. The flooring was solid too. Didn’t see any bugs and the room was fairly clean and smelt fresh. I was in the non-smoking room though so I’m sure that helped. Overall, I’d only give this place like a 5 out of 10. Maybe once they complete the renovations and get things more in order then it could be a better place to stay at.

For a cheap property it worked. Seems a little run down but overall seemed clean. Our non smoking room didn’t have an extremely clean and fresh smell but it did not smell like a smoking room or anything like that. Just slightly dated.

Took about 20 30 minutes for the very rude front desk person to check in at empty hotel. Room was dingy stains on bed & bathroom grungy and a giant dead bug on the floor. Didn't stay and I can tolerate a lot but nope.

Noise level extreme. Room was Spartan, essentially no dresser drawers, no work space, no chairs. Website misleading in availability of tv, much fewer channels than advertised including none of the major networks. We reserved a king-sized bed, room had two double beds. Beds had a sheet metal base to the floor that rattled like a cymbal if accidentally touched with a foot and creaked when we rolled over in bed. Will never stay there again.
