My wife and I travelled to Salobre Resort from the UK to enjoy a few days in the sunshine for my birthday. On arrival the experience was fantastic, a welcome drink was offered and nothing was too much trouble. We booked the half board package for our stay and I must say the breakfast offering was exceptional, after the first morning we left breakfast overwhelmed by such a great experience and offering. We then dined in the buffet restaurant in the evening, again seemed fantastic well presented and great offering. Unfortunately in the early hours of the following morning I began to feel very unwell. My symptoms got progressively worse throughout the day and I travelled to Maspalomas to buy some medication in the hope this would help, after staying in the room and letting the medication take effect it was clear this was serious. I then attended the hospital and after blood tests results came back it was confirmed I had in fact received food poisoning. I did inform the resort on return from the hospital, and they did reassure me that management had been informed, after returning home I have emailed management (Angela Loebhard) to express my disappointment, I still await a response! Birthday ruined and significant costs incurred at the local hospital as result. Such a shame that I have write this review, if only Salobre Management would have had the courtesy to reply to my email!
