Le Baluchon Eco-Villegiature

We stayed 2 nights over easter weekend, we were surprised their weekend package was still valid over this busy period. Considering how amazing the fine dining was, the package was excellent value for money. Staff is extremely friendly, polite and efficient, and the rooms have everything you need. Great setting for outdoor lovers, absolutely loved the wooden boardwalk and waterfall right next to our building. Make sure you book a trea**ent if you want to access the sauna on weekends or you won't have access. We only found that out when we got there and trea**ents were all booked up so no sauna.

Best place to enjoy winter activities at le baluchon . The maison bleu is a fantastic large cotage with everything you need.People in the baluchon are awsome. We will definitly come back

This resort is a hidden gem. Beautiful rooms, super comfortable beds, fine dining, a top notch spa and gorgeous surroundings. Waterfalls, walking trails, kayaking and mountain biking. Highly recommended!

This is an eco-resort located in the middle of a country setting. There is a river that goes around the grounds and canoes and kayaks are available for guests. As well, there are bike paths for mountain biking and wood pathways for the less adventurous, a spa and swimming pools. We opted for the two-night gastronomic stay which includes one three-course dinner, one four-course dinner and two buffet breakfasts. The restaurants’ specialty is locally sourced produce and meats and the food is excellent. The breakfast buffet offers a nice selection of hot and cold dishes. For our first dinner, I had a scallop carpaccio, the beef dish of the day and a blueberry cake. My wife had a burrata and heirloom tomato salad, the pork dish of the day and a strawberry and rhubarb compote on puff pastry. Although the food was delicious, something seemed to have gone awry in the kitchen as service was painfully slow, which was exacerbated by the over-air conditioned dining room. Our second dinner was very good as well. It started with a zucchini and red pepper soup, I had the deconstructed Shepherds Pie and the lobster and seafood risotto. My wife had the trout gravlax and the venison filet. For dessert, we both had the cherry clafoutis. The food was delicious, service started out well but then slowed down again after our second course and the wait time between the appetizer, main course and dessert was longer than it should have been. This was our third time staying at this resort and we had to wonder what had changed to result in the noticeable difference in service.

We went to the Spa, enjoyed the view and the quiet surroundings. Special thanks to Dominique who welcomed us and provided truely attentive service with attention to detail and a very friendly attitude!

We tremendously enjoyed the area and the activities available. They offer certain activities for free while others for a fee. The one negative thing we found was dinner. There is only one option of restaurant and they offer limited choices and it is very expensive. For someone who is vegetarian, there is only one option and for that price, you can feed a large family of that dish. Also there are no restaurants close by so you are very limited.

Food was great The device was super The location and activities were great as well However, the Pool and spa was not well maintained, the pool looked dirty and the jacuzzi as well. The women changing room had a leak from the roof. The « Spa Relais  santé » personal was not friendly at all and Anyway we didn’t feel it was clean so we just didn’t use the services. It needs a Big renovation !!!

Nous étions logés à l’Auberge sur l’île, ayant directement accès à la piscine intérieure et au Spa Nordique. Nous avons aussi fait la réservation pour deux massages, massages donnés par deux massothérapeutes professionnels. Dans la chambre ambiance de luxe, nous avions un foyer, un lit king et une salle de bain des plus spacieuses. Quel bonheur de revenir à la chambre après une journée passée à l’extérieur. En frais d’activités, nous avons opté pour le Fat Bike électrique et le ski de fond. N’étant seulement au Baluchon pour deux nuits, nous n’avons pas pu, malheureusement, profiter de d’autres activités comme par exemple, les traineaux à chiens ou encore la raquette… Toutefois, être dehors et jouir du paysage et des installations nous a procuré une vraie détente. Nous avons très bien mangé à la salle à manger grâce à un menu varié et relevé, le tout dans une atmosphère détendue et feutrée. Le brunch se prenait « Au bout du monde Éco-café ». Là encore, la nourriture était excellente et variée. Tous les membres du personnel à qui nous avons eu à faire ont été souriants, accueillants, professionnels, courtois et attentionnés. Merci à tous pour un merveilleux séjour au Baluchon! Rémi Morin Awesome resort! We had a great time. We stayed at the Auberge sur l'île having access directly to the inside pool and the Nordic SPA . We also booked a massage session each, being taken care by professional massage therapists. The luxury ambiance room was equipped with a fireplace, king bed, and a VERY spacious bathroom... What a pleasure to come back to our room to relax after a day being outside. Talking about outside activities, we enjoyed the electric Fat Bike experience as well as the cross-country skiing. Not enough time (sadly we there for 2 nights) for other activities such as snowshoeing or dog-sledding... Just being outside in this incredible unique environment was a pleasure and a real boost of energy. The food was excellent and delicious. A cozy atmosphere and a pleasant service made the whole experience unique at the dining room. For the "Au bout du monde Éco-café", the brunch was varied and plentiful. All staff members we encountered were smiling, welcoming, professional, courteous and considerate. Thanks to all for a wonderful at The Baluchon! Rémi Morin
