Protur Safari Park Aparthotel - All Inclusive

Although the hotel is classed as a 4* hotel, we found this to be an average hotel. This is very much a family orientated hotel and we went during a week where most other guests had children under 10 years old. We don't have children and don't mind children at all, but at every turn there seemed to be a screaming child. We stayed in an apartment room, which was very nice and clean, the beds were very comfortable. We had an issue with the toilet not flushing twice and on both occasions this was dealt with very quickly. Thank you to Norma for cleaning our room :) Some of the food wasn't labelled but we managed to find enough to eat each time we went to the restaurant. The nightly entertainment was good and varied. The hotel is situated within a few other Protur hotels and is only a 10 minute walk to Sa Coma beach, which is one of the nicest beaches we have been to and the sea if very calm. It is expensive to hire sunbeds on the beach; for the blue sunbeds x 2 with a parasol and safe it is 18 euros a day and for the brown sunbeds with a foam pad x 2 with a small table, parasol and safe it is 35 euros a day. We visited Porto Cristo which is the next resort south of Sa Coma on the local service bus which only took 12 minutes to travel there and we caught one of the ferries back, which cost 15 euros each. We went to Cala Millor which is the next resort north of Sa Coma which has a lot more shops and again a very nice beach. The weather was good whilst we were there and all in all we had a good week away.

First of all Our family had a bit of a complication just before the holiday date and the management of the Protur Safari Park were brilliant They accommodated all our needs a big thanks for that , We had a late flight and arrived around 1 am with 2 children 6 and 7 The check in was very smooth , they also had some refreshments prepared for our arrival we were starving Well done for that , The next morning we explored the complex and it's Big ! with lots of Bars and Restaurants and lots of activities for the kids with mini water park , go-carts payable 1 euro and a mini golf , also fun at the pool with the entertainment crew . We had one bedroom apartment and it was great with 2 single sofa beds in the living area . very clean although the coffee table was a bit worse for wear . The evening entertainment was good with good quality acts , The food was very good with something for all tastes at Breakfast Lunch and Dinner and a few options during the day . i.e. the Grill Bar and Afternoon Tea , Lots of drink stations for soft drinks Beer Etc. also Ice Lollies to cool you down . The staff were very pleasant in all areas . The Bar staff were great no waiting to be served , The Buffet was easy to get around . Very quite at night no noise . All in All it's a great family Holiday Hotel highly Recommended

We've just returned from a week's stay at this hotel booked via TUI and had a lovely time! It was our first time travelling abroad with a baby so I was a bit apprehensive, but I'm glad that we picked this hotel as there was a lot about it that made our lives easier and this in turn made our holiday experience more enjoyable. Firstly the hotel staff are friendly, helpful and really engaging - they always made a fuss over our daughter which was lovely. We stayed in an apartment which had a bedroom with two single beds pushed together, although the beds were definitely bigger than your standard single beds. I found the beds to be comfortable and my daughter slept perfectly in the travel cot provided. There was also a kitchenette area which had a microwave, fridge and kettle which was perfect for allowing us to make up our daughter's bottles. The shower was really powerful which we were pleasantly surprised at. I had read some other reviews about the air con; however when we went the ouside temperature was low 20's and it was quite breezy so we found the room temperature to be fine without needing air con anyway. We rented the safe in the room which was €2 a day with a €5 deposit which you got back at check out. The rooms are cleaned every day apart from Mondays and Thursdays. The food wasn't the best I've ever tasted (not that I expected it to be seeing as we didn't book a 5* hotel) but it was tasty and we always found something to eat every day, including something to be able to give to our baby who is weaning. There was always food available throughout the day such as fruit, pasteries and ice cream. I didn't find the alcoholic drinks to be very strong but the beer on the all inclusive was Estrella which my husband was happy with! At check in we made a reservation at the Italian restaurant on site which again was nice. I would definitely recommend making your restaurant reservations on check in as they get booked up quickly as guests at the other Protur hotels nearby can also book them, so there is a lot of demand. We spent most of the holiday in and around the heated swimming pool which is the one closest to the Grill restaurant. There are lots of other pools to choose from; we did try the dedicated baby pool but it was too cold (I'm not sure if that was because of the time of year though). We found that there were always plenty of sun beds available but we did go in low season. The evening entertainment wasn't to our taste but this is obviously personal preference. There were a number of tribute acts throughout the week and a mini disco for kids each night - perfect for families with older children. You could tell that the entertainment staff really put a lot of effort into it! Finally we went to the free water park towards the back of the hotel but just sat our little one in the shallow water as she obviously wasn't old enough to take full advantage of the slides etc. However it looked like all of the kids there had loads of fun! This hotel was amazing and the surroundings are beautiful!! The food entertainment was fantastic! You have 4 restaurants to choose from if your not into the buffet every evening , you do have to book them but you can do it on there website or ask at reception! The food was amazing in all 4 restaurants. The rooms are very spacious and clean and was so quite! The pools are amazing and so many loungers too! Also there is loads of things to do free bikes with €20 deposit which you get back crazy golf the list goes on! Nothing is to much trouble for the staff they was fantastic. If I could give the hotel more stars I would. This hotel made our holiday and would just like to thank every single member of staff for a magical holiday. Looking forward to booking again.

The staff and the facilities were excellent. We arrived on the first day of season opening so very few people, but by the end of the week it became very busy and noisy. the second buffet restaurant should have been opened sooner than it was. Everything was so far away. From our rooms (above reception) it was a fair walk to the other end of the complex. It wasn’t until the second day we actually got to see the sea which was a good 10-15 minutes walk away. So glad I could hire a mobility scooter. Naturally there was plenty of entertainment for children but for the adults extremely limited. Three nights of tribute bands with no other activities, ie no competitions, bingo night nor games night. Disappointing. By the end of the week the entertainment room was so full there was no where to sit. I dread to think how busy it is in the summer months. I just feel the hotel is too big to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

Returning guests to this 4 star apartment hotel. Nice large rooms with a kitchenette but only a few have sinks. Air conditioning seems to be fan only. But that’s ok for May or September. Food is standard all inclusive. Nothing special but they do have a chef cooking meat and other dishes. The Goa restaurant in my opinion is the best of the places to eat here. Hotel was half full so obviously no queues. Temp was between 21c and 25c. Around 18c at night. Free bikes, mini golf, tennis and volleyball. They have 2 excellent mini golf courses on the grounds. Excellent entertainment team for day time activities and local professionals for nighttime shows. So much better than hotels using TUI reps or their own staff. Mainly British and German guests. Went with TUI again and after the discounts it was reasonable. Nice beach about 20 min walk away.

Hotel has no air conditioning, we are miserable and sweltering at night, it is like staying in a third world country. At first we thought it was just our room but then manager admitted the whole hotel has no air con - because the heating is switched on.! Said they couldn't do anything about it! Certainly will not be coming here again, it is a disgrace.

Avoid going here if you have children with any sort of additional needs. Staff shouted at my autistic daughter to move table while we she was sat eating. Picked up her plate and told her to move. I was getting food and dad was getting her a drink it was very busy in the dining area, we had walked around for ages looking for a table so I said to sit down at a table for 5, we were a family of 3. I took the Staff name and complained to reception but they just laughed it off while I had a very upset child. We had been at the bonaire in cala Bona 2 years previously and that was amazing. The staff were excellent with my daughter...shame it does follow through on all the Protur hotels! Tbh I really don't know what the good reviews are about..I always book hotels that a 4 star above on trip advisor and was seriously disappointed with this hotel. Been to majorca 7 times. 3 other protur hotels and they were great. This was sub standard for what we paid. Food is poor, there are flies everywhere around the food! Hardly any entertainment in the day and night entertainment isn't the best. We went out every night. Staff are not friendly at all.

Avoid avoid avoid. Rude restaurant staff was the first thing really upset us then seeing POO (Stool) in childeren swimming pool area was a shock and how badly staff dealt with it. Basically they just removed it after hours and not disinfected the area or asked people to leave(m. Then having my 2 year old vomitig many times and having bad diarrhea ending up in hospital. I also got athlete's foot infection from this hotel which is still not going away after weeks of treatment. Worse thing is TUI or hotel havent dealt with this complain at all. They just treat you as numbers and dont care at all. BIG disappointment in TUI and Protur Safari Park Aparthotel. If you dont want your holiday wasted and feel stressed at the end with lots of tears just avoid Protur Safari Park Aparthotel & TUI. This is from a heart broken and stressed mother of 2 years old which was genuinely looking for a nice break and first holiday as a family.
