The Original Rosslyn Inn

Me and my wife stayed here on the 6thand7th of February for two nights we met up with friends for my birthday 🎂 this hotel is a very lovely place to stay and eat the staff are so hopeful nothing is to much for them food is lovely and price's are very good this is the 2nd time we have stayed here Stuart was so very good he sang happy birthday when he brought my birthday cake out last night breakfast is amazing so much choice thanks again Rosslyn inn hotel see you soon xx Tony and Lorraine xx ❤️

Me and my wife are staying here for two nights we have a wedding to go to on Friday night the room is lovely bed so comfortable and warm now for the breakfast that was great just had a bit to much staff are very helpful and friendly food is great we will be coming back soon

Stayed one night on a trip around Scotland. Room was OK for one night but have to applaud the chef who produced the best breakfast of our trip! Delicious food, excellent coffee and great staff. Had always wanted to see Rosslyn Chapel which was just over the road.

We made the mistake of going for an evening meal without reading the reviews first. My roast beef was hard work - tough, as stated in a earlier review - would be accurate. I don’t recommend eating here.

This was rated as 4.4 stars, extremely disappointed. Cost £244 for 2 nights mid week, definitely not worth this money. Room and bathroom was extremely dirty, looked like it hadn't been 'deep cleaned' in months even a year or so. Cleaner must only be changing bed sheets and towels. The dust and dirt in the room would not accumulate like that even after weeks- let alone months. Shower curtain was black and mouldy, radiators were dirty and full of thick dust. Back of toilet full of dust- again could be solved with a deep clean. Towels were rock hard and looked about 10 years old, again something that could be easily replaced cheap enough. Generally the room could do with a re-paint/touch up. I felt dirty staying there to be honest and couldn't wait to get home- def would never stay there again. Only good thing was the breakfast.

We really liked this hotel and pub. It was the best of three that we had stayed in on a mini tour of Scotland. Absolutely spot on as far as price for the night and breakfast. The hospitality was brilliant, we landed on a night of once a month live music, by a very talented pianist and singer. The food in the restaurant was super, and the hotel itself was certainly quirky. After long hours travelling we felt comfortable and very much at home. The staff were brilliantly friendly. Slight downside was a small double bed, but the room was clean, and tastefully decorated which I loved! Although we did have a slight problem shutting the door when we left, a very big tug was needed or we couldn't lock it behind us securely. It is however a rather old place so it can be forgiven. I'm sure the owner could rectify this easily. It almost seems we shouldn't make it a complaint because we had an absolutely marvellous stay. The owner cooked his guests breakfast in the morning himself and he was quite the charming host. Would we come again? Most definitely and we have said that any future trips to Scotland(and we do many) will include a stay here without questions.

I would give the restaurant a minus rating if I could. Visited to celebrate a family birthday. The menu advertised on their webpage was not available. Starters good. Main course- steak pie, the beef was tough. Butterfly chicken, server said it came with a mushroom sauce when it came bone dry we had to ask for a sauce. The chef seemed it to be acceptable to send us a beef gravy for a chicken dish! When we complained to the manager he could not be less indifferent if he tried. We sent back our main course. When we sent an email to the owner stating our extreme disappoin**ent we received an arrogant response from him. Take your business elsewhere

Scandalous bar prices ripping off the tourists who visit the Chapel. No locals in because they can't afford to drink there. They should be ashamed of themselves. I will not be back and people should boycott the place

I have had overnight stays in many hotels across the country but last night the service and attention was outstanding from a particular member of staff for the whole duration of our stay from check in until we left. The presentation and quality of food was also superb.
