Mercure Danang French Village Hotel Review Mercure Danang French Village is in a fantastic location, being the only hotel on the hill. Everything you need—restaurants, a market, the theme park, and attractions—is within walking distance, making it very convenient for visitors. The hotel’s interior design is simple, so don’t expect a very modern or luxurious room. It fits the theme of the French Village but may feel a bit dated for those who prefer contemporary decor. However, the biggest downside is the front desk service. When we arrived to check in, there was a large crowd, but no clear signage or staff directing guests where to queue. I initially lined up in the wrong place and only realized after 10 minutes that I had to start over in the correct queue. Despite peak hours, only two counters were open, which resulted in a long wait of around 20-30 minutes. If there’s a large family ahead of you, expect to wait even longer. Another inconvenience is that guests have to carry their luggage up the hill to the hotel. Since I was traveling with my 5-year-old, I was lucky to have just one suitcase, but for families with more bags, this could be quite a hassle. Overall, while the location is unbeatable and convenient for exploring Ba Na Hills, the check-in process and front desk service could be much better managed.

This hotel exceeded all expectations! The sea view from the room was breathtaking, and the room itself was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was a highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options to suit every taste. A perfect stay for relaxation and enjoyment. Highly recommended!

The hotel is situated next to the beach strip, slightly away (~5-10min walk) from the hustle and bustle. There was indeed music played at full blast from the beach bar during our short stay, but most of the noise was blocked by the balcony glass doors. The room was spacious and clean, and the view from the balcony was spectacular. There are restaurants, an infinity pool (albeit small and somewhat shallow), and a spa within the premise. We did not utilize those hotel facilities as there are many wonderful choices beyond the hotel. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and very helpful. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Da Nang.

Beautiful, new, clean hotel with modern amenities and located right on the beachfront. Fantastic views and friendly staff. Amazing shower and super comfy bed which were the highlights for us after 6 weeks backpacking in hostels! However, the check out process was unnecessarily long and complicated (they made us feel a bit embarrassed having to check the room before we left) and instead of taking charges off the (hefty) deposit - voided this and made us pay again separately, which made no sense. Keep this in mind if you have an airport taxi on a time limit waiting outside!

I stayed at the Hyatt Hotel for three nights and four days. This is a five-star property located beautifully by the beach, offering breathtaking natural surroundings. Despite our stay not being during the summer season and the weather being slightly cloudy, we thoroughly enjoyed our time. One of the standout experiences was the Sleepy Massage at the spa. It was exceptional—therapists tailored the massage to focus on areas with pain or tension, which was incredibly thoughtful and added great value to our stay. The hotel’s food offerings were impressive overall. However, there were notable service issues, particularly at the beachside restaurant. The time it took for orders to be delivered was excessively long—30 to 40 minutes for simple items like a smoothie or beer. On one occasion, after waiting 30 minutes for a coffee, we were informed it wasn’t available that day. These delays and miscommunications significantly impacted our experience. Another area needing improvement is staff communication. While the staff was kind and well-meaning, their English proficiency was insufficient, leading to frequent misunderstandings. This is an important area for a hotel of this caliber to address, especially given its international clientele. The rooms, at 42–43 square meters, were spacious and adequate. However, some furnishings, such as curtains and chairs, appeared worn and outdated. For a Hyatt property, this was disappointing. One policy-related issue stood out—staff adhered strictly to hotel rules without considering guest concerns or providing flexible solutions. For instance, instead of prioritizing guest comfort, policies seemed to take precedence, making the experience less relaxing and enjoyable than expected. Lastly, we dined at Le Petite, the hotel’s animation dining restaurant. While the concept was entertaining, the repetitive nature of the animations, applied universally to all menus, made it feel less engaging. Enhancing this experience with tailored or varied animations could elevate it significantly. In summary, while the location, massage services, and food quality met expectations, the service delays, outdated furnishings, language barriers, and inflexible policies detracted from the experience. With improvements in these areas, the hotel could offer a truly five-star stay. Overall, I would rate it 3.5 out of 5.

After 30 mins drive from airport, you will be greeted with beautifully decorated receptionist and stunning view of the private bay. A buggy ride or combination of outdoor walk + funicular will lead to most room. If lucky, you may encounter the colourful endangered monkey during funicular ride. Variety is relatively limited however, quality of breakfast is outstanding. Dine at Citroen for vietnamese food or Barefoot for a more international flavour of meat, seafood and pizza. Food quality was outstanding and specialty coctails were interesting. Long bar was a posh spot for afternoon chill next to swimming pool and beach. Food and drink prices are on high side compared to Vietnamese standard or even similar resort in SEA. However, visiting the private beach (or bay) is really a treat! Complimentary cold water, sweet potato, and even unsual sunglasses cleaning service or cucumber to cool the face. Complimentary well maintained paddle board, kayak, Vietnamese bamboo basket boat. Plus all usual beach facilities such as beach volley, badminton, frisbee but without crowd. Attended and very well maintained indoor gym with Technogym and a smaller one outdoor. There is 4K outdoor running route circulating the resort with 100 m elevation. Bed room and bathroom are luxurious and well maintained. The high outdoor humidity (October) and air conditioned room cause foggy glasses and blocking the nice view from bed room. After adjusting skin to outdoor temperature, relaxing on relatively large balcony with large sofa was a better way to enjoy the scenery. While my other half experienced the award winning Mi Sol Spa, myself and kid went for private tour to Ba Na Hill from concierge which was on high side compared to online travel portal. However, it worthed for business class car, professional driver and very experienced tour guide whom made everything smooth and trouble free. Complimentary mini bus to Hoi An was pleasant and well timed. Tried local transport Grab for diner outside and it was a mixed experience of efficient cost and feeling of less safety. Services on all visited facilities were outstanding and caused my wife considering a return during cooler month.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Danang Marriott Resort and Spa. It was me, my wife, my 2 year old, and 5 month old. The breakfast was one of the best we have experienced in our travels in southeast Asia, with a wide variety of Asian and Western cuisines. We especially enjoyed the Bahn Mi and ice cream stations. We were given complimentary alcoholic drinks (2 per adult, per day) because we were staying for 5+ nights. This was nice surprise. There were 5 or 6 pools to choose from, with varying sizes. We especially enjoyed the lounging area that was between the toddler pool and main pool, which allowed us to be with our kids but also cool down when needed. The beach was beautiful and never crowded. The waves were a little rough, but a great option for cooling down. There were plenty of loungers by the pools and the beach. The beach bar service was great, with drinks and food coming out efficiently. The staff were all amazing. We did not have any bad experiences with them during our 6 day stay. They were friendly and playful with our toddler and helped with any questions we had. My wife enjoyed the spa as she went for a massage on our final morning. The location is between Danang downtown area and Hoi An. This was great for us because we wanted to visit both areas but if you are wanting to be walking distance to restaurants, bars, sights, it might be better to choose a location closer to one of the busy areas. Overall, a fantastic trip and we look forward to returning in the near future.

The TMS in Da Nang is truly lovely. The service and amenities are top tier and you can’t beat the location. All of the staff were beyond courteous and helpful. The rooftop restaurant isn’t to be missed. You will enjoy beautiful views of the beach and the food is delicious. Chef Huang is a master chef. The room was nice and spacious with a breathtaking view of the beach from the balcony. I would definitely staff there again.

Feedback on Sheraton Grand: During my recent stay, the reception service crew member, Thanh Vo, did not collect the payment from me since the booking indicated payment over the counter. This created inconvenience, as I had to contact the counter to settle the payment. Additionally, the hotel required extra procedures to process the credit card payment. Throughout this process, I had to make calls, reply to emails, and follow up, which was highly inconvenient. I hope Sheraton Grand can take note of this issue and work on improving the guest experience. Feedback on Trip.com: I would recommend adding a reminder message for users booking rooms during midnight hours (after 12 am) to avoid confusion regarding the booking date. This would help ensure users select the correct date and prevent errors during late-night bookings.

Got upgraded to the Deluxe Seaview and had the best time of my life! The staff were all very kind and accommodating, ending up booking 2 services via SALA staff (Bana Hills Day Tour and Massage at their ZEN Spa) I enjoyed both! Also spent one dinner at their top view restaurant that overlooks the whole entire city of Da Nang. Already recommending SALA to my nearest dearest... Keep up the good job, Sala Team!
