Ulasan Shan Hai Guan Xianting Calligraphy Hotel（Ancient City Scenic Area)

Could not recommend this hotel more - fabulous location, extremely clean rooms and very welcoming employees. It was great to be able to practice calligraphy in the comfort of your room (they had a complimentary calligraphy set in each room). The calligraphy museum next door was a real treat!They offered a range of interactive activities from Lino printing to etching on pottery.

Very good service , clean room , friendly staff, speak English. Worth the money , can only highly this hotel

Awesome hotel with a great view from the window, also the caligraphy school inside the complex with the famous jewelry etc is really cool. More a museam than a hotel its a fantastic place to start the exploration of Shanhaiguan

A hidden gem at the end of the Great Wall! We would gladly come back and stay in the summertime.

Beautiful and characterful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Close to various sightseeing destinations and located in a beautiful area. Will definitely visit them again.

very good hotel but breakfast starts too late missed breakfast two times 7.30 start is too late should be 6.30am

Location is fantastic inside the old walled city and only 50m to the entrance of 天下第一关。 It's a very modern hotel on the inside and traditional on the outside. Excellent beautiful rooms and comfortable bedding.They do offer onsite meals and the food is excellent. The staff are also very polite and they opened the doors as we stepped into the main hall everytime and they were also very attentive as when we could not find the kettle in the room as we asked on our way out, the staff male sure they walked us to our room as we returned and showed us where was the kettle hidden. Such level of service in a small town puts many 5 or 6 stars hotel to shame. Well done Xianting.

Very cute and charming hotel which it is actually a museum! Just on the side of the entrance to the Shanhai Pass and in walking distance to several attractions. The staff is very friendly and welcoming! Can not thank you enough for all you great attentions and help also recommendations during my stay. The hotel restaurant definitely a must to try the food is delicious! Definitely will be back to this hotel and recommend to anybody visiting Shanhaiguan!!

This hotel is amazing. Old style building in ancient city and very classy inside. All is new. The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff is kind and helpful. They are willing to help at anytime of day and night. Plus the restaurant of the hotel has a great choice of nice meals. I highly recommend it.

Excellent hotel, I would highly recommend anybody visiting Shanhaiguan to stay here. The building is beautiful and includes a mini museum exhibition of calligraphy and lovely gardens. The room was clean, comfortable and provided 6 bottles of complementary water. The staff were friendly and helpful, even letting me check out at 2pm since I had a 3pm train to Dalian. Location wise the hotel is situated right next to the first gate under Heaven tourist area. You can get a good view of the gate even from the hotel courtyard, also walkable to restaurants and the drum tower just a couple hundred meters away. Lastly it’s just a short taxi ride from the rail station (1.6km/5min/8rmb) and laolongtou Great Wall section (7km/15min/15rmb).

Great place to stay! Front desk can speak English with very great service mind! Clean room with full of amenities included snack and drink mini bar, free of charge. Hotel's decorations are beautiful. Can see light event of the tower from room!

This is a fabulous hotel in a perfect location! The staff are incredibly attentive and make the stay easy and confortable. Feng Jing Ming made me feel welcome every time I arrived back after a day out. The room, as well as the entire hotel, was extremely well cared for. The restaurant is well staffed and always serves a variety of delicious food. I highly recommend a stay here!

What an amazing hotel, absolutely beautiful and so close the all the historic sites. It is really a worthwhile spot and I will bring many more people here
