Hotel Sunroute Hikone is in a good state of cleanliness, location, service and amenities.

Very good location, close to Shiga station. Many eateries nearby. Walking distance to Hikone castle. Friendly staff with good English. The only downfall is that the layout of the room is rather cramped, so if you have more than 1 big luggage it might be a bit difficult to pack and unpack.

Place was extremely convenient, next to Hikone station and walking distance from almost all of Hikone's attractions (Castle, food street etc.) To enjoy Lake Biwa, you can get a rental cycle for free, you just need to check with the concierge 😄 Other than that, the residents of Hikone were really friendly, even at non-touristy restaurants and izakayas. I had a great stay.

It's located right in front of the station, so it looks convenient for transportation. I went there by bike, and parking was free. The staff was very friendly, and the facilities were good.

The man at the front desk was very kind. I asked him about shops and places to see the fall foliage, and he did his best to teach me. It's close to Hikone Castle and the station, so I went there by car, and the parking lot was right in front of me. The room was nice and the lights were bright! Hotels are dimly lit in some places with downlights, making it difficult to put on makeup, but this place had fluorescent lights, so it was comfortable. The light switches were also very easy to understand and comfortable.
