Villa Fortuna

As I'm sure you'll read time and time again, Diana and her mother were so kind. Diana is incredibly quick to respond to emails, and she coordinated our private transfers and a private boat tour of Capri. She was also helpful with so many recommendations (e.g. restaurants, transportation, activities). The facilities are incredibly clean and spacious. We booked the Orange Flowers room, and the only reason why I would book another room in the future is that there is not much of a view from the balcony -- it is mostly blocked by the balcony wall. However, it's still a lovely place to relax and enjoy the orange tree, and we would certainly go back to Villa Fortuna! We counted 457 stairs to the shops, as the hotel is at the top of Positano. The steps were actually welcome though, as it felt nice to walk off our dinners! The location was also great because the bus stop is right outside, so it's easy access to other places like Amalfi and Ravello. We were able to walk to all of these places: Da Vicenzo (delicious classic dinner) L'Ancora (most iconic Positano view for sunset dinner) La Serra (INCREDIBLE Michelin restaurant experience) Brasserie Covo dei Saraceni (got pizza to-go from the street-level restaurant [not hotel restaurant] and ate along waterfront) Ferry to Capri (recommend private boat tour) Boat to Arienzo Beach Club (recommend booking chairs) Bus stop to see Amalfi Coast (recommend Amalfi Lemon Experience with picnic) Other (e.g. shops, bars, galleries)

Our stay in Villa Fortuna was simply incredible and made our stay in Positano unforgettable. Diana and her mother are exceptional hosts and made our experience even better with their kindness, help and by sharing their knowledge of local area to help us get around. The room was extremely clean and the view from the terrace is beautiful! Every last detail has been put into the rooms at the villa and you have everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The bus stop outside of the villa is super as you can easily travel around Positano by local bus to take you to the beach if you do not wish to take the steps (we didn’t mind the walk so only used the bus in the evening). Prior to our visit, Diana shared a digital guide of Positano with us which included things to do and places to eat. We followed the recommendations, which were fantastic! I would highly recommend staying at Villa Fortuna if you want a 10/10 experience. Thank you so much for having us ☺️.

Villa Fortuna was amazing! Really well located and the room was perfect. Great view, great bed, beautiful room and Diana was really helpful in recommending local restaurants, bars and places to go to.

Villa Fortuna is a place that one can never forget about it once you have stayed there. Everything about them is great: the location couldn't be better, they are literally 10 steps away from the bus stop, plus there are many great little restaurants, cafes, and stores within minutes walking from the hotel; the accommodations are beautifully arranged and maintained, everything is perfect inside and outside your room; the staff is wonderful, from the minute you step in you feel like you are home; and the view from the room cannot be described with words, one needs to be there to understand. My wife and I were there for a few nights and regret we couldn't stay longer. However, we know we want to come back and we will!

This is a review of Villa Fortuna’s integrity and customer care. This place is spectacular, as the pictures attest. My friend and I had every reason to believe that we would be enjoying the lovely scenery, cuisine and hospitality of Villa Fortuna and Positano. My five-star rating is given for how Villa Fortuna handled our most unfortunate need to cancel. The day before we were to leave for three weeks in southern Italy, I was taken by ambulance for emergency surgery where I spent the next eight days. My friend immediately started to unwind the reservations for hotels, tours, drivers, flights, etc. Villa Fortuna stands out among the six places we had booked for this trip as being gracious, understanding and sympathetic to our situation. We are finding that this level of integrity and compassion is not the norm. If we are fortunate enough to try this trip again, Villa Fortuna will the first place we book.

Beautiful hotel! The location and views are amazing! It was very conveniently located close to a main street and bus stop so you don’t have to lug your luggage up or down stairs. We would take the stairs down to the beach and bus back to the hotel. Easy to communicated with hosts as well!

Villa Fortuna exceeded our expectations. The room size was larger than anticipated and perfect for a family of four. The room was dreamy with high ceilings, vibrant Positano esque floor tiles and we slept well with a very comfortable bed & pillows. Bathroom facilities were fantastic. The views from our private rooftop overlooking the Sea were breathtaking. We were well looked after by Diana and the team in the lead up to our stay and they went above and beyond during our stay. We had the most wonderful experience at Villa Fortuna. Great little restaurant and bar within 100m from the hotel.

Beautiful, spacious and comfortable room! Our had a patio with a jacuzzi, wish we had stayed longer to enjoy. Lovely stay! Best way to reach it from the Positano port is by taking the local Positano bus, it stops right in front!

What a beautiful gem of a find in Positano. Diana our host was amazing and always a quick text away with advice, recommendations or to answer any query. Rooms were spotlessly clean with a great working jacuzzi on the balcony. A beautiful bunch of flowers awaited our arrival. We got an upgrade to a bigger room on our 2nd night which was much appreciated. We also had a bag of laundry cleaned and returned within 8 hours! Local shop and restaurants were literally steps away. Local Positano bus and Sita bus stops are right outside the door making it perfect for getting around. Overall, this was an amazing experience with a super friendly host and would recommend to anyone
