Construction created a minimal of issues. A minor issue with the key cards to our room. My 90 year old mother-in-law struggled a little going up the stairs and she would have appreciated a different set up for the bedside lamps. Also, a ADA hand bar in the shower/bath tub. Staff was very helpful.

I booked a room for my disabled parents who are in their 80s. The Hotel was being renovated so they thought nothing of the bag on the ceiling in their room. A day after they got home they were charged for tampering with the smoke detector. My dad called the hotel to find out what was up and they said there was a bag over the smoke detector so they must have done it and been smoking. He explained they've never smoked and couldn't possibly reach it and that he though it was something they were working on and didn't even realize it was over the smoke detector. He wanted the charge removed. He was told they would work on it. The staff, desk clerk, and manager were all great, but the owner said it couldn't be refunded and my dad could sue him. Unbelievable that the owner of the hotel would take advantage of the elderly, let alone a veteran and not care even though his hotel was and still is being renovated. The credit card company tried but said without pictures they couldn't do anything. Do Not go to this hotel, the owner takes advantage of elderly people and refuses to be reasonable when it was clearly not them that put the bag on the ceiling. Do not give this hotel your business!

The room itself was clean and nice but it has bed bugs. The rooms clearly have not been updated since the 80s/90s and the wall paper in the bathroom, around the shower especially, are yellowed, starting to peel off, and showing their age. The amenities are nice but the computers weren't working and one of the two massage chairs was broken. The breakfast bar has a decent selection and the folks that work here are kind and professional. If not for the bedbugs, this would have been a 4/5 for me but that's a huge issue that cannot be overlooked. Once that is addressed, it's overall a cute hotel that I would recommend.

I am mid stay, maybe I should wait until the end of my stay before writing this, but hey. Arrived Saturday evening. The lady behind the desk was friendly, although I didn't do the check in. There's no lift, so if you have access needs make sure that you request a ground floor. The room is fine, clean, which is the main thing. A strange set up, the main sink is located in the bedroom not the bathroom. The refrigerator and the extractor fan are quite loud. Our room is at the back, which means that we can have the window open with no noise. There's a coffee machine and hairdryer in the room. A water and ice machine just down the hall. Coffee and tea available in the lobby and access to a computer. Breakfast. The breakfast room is small 8 tables, but seems to work. The layout is sort of disjointed. Next to the cereal are teabags and an unlabelled urn that has coffee.... the hot water is dispensed from a cold and hot water machine behind it. There's porridge.... all flavoured and containing sugar, the microwave is situated by the entrance door. Cereals all have ingredients labelled which is good. There's a small selection of fruit, there are a variety of baegles and breads. The cooked breakfast was sausage, eggs and hash browns. They do provide soya milk, however vegan options are VERY limited, not even a vegan spread, moreso for me as I also cannot have sugar, I ended a plain baegle, a hash brown and a banana. There's a sign on the door that says food may not be taken out of the breakfast room, which means that it gets busy, and not good if any guests have any form of social anxiety. Definitely worth a stay.

Personal big thank you to Heather at the front desk for her patience with the credit card issue..... she was very professional and very accommodating. The place is clean stop is friendly the price is good and I appreciate you guys

The hotel was okay, just the pits you have to pay a damage deposit when you check in. Breakfast could have been better, the eggs were very dry and the hash browns were like hokey pucks extra crispy.
