Saltwater Luxury Apartments

We had a great experience at this hotel! Check-in was personal with plenty of local recommendations and parking was easy. The 2br apar**ent was super accommodating, with plenty of room for my husband, myself and our daughter. Location was exceptional, which is so important; we walked most places. We also enjoyed the pool, which was super clean. I highly recommend staying here - worth every cent!

I have to give this place 5+ stars. We had a two-bedroom, 2-bath unit (#11), each with a shower. Excellent A/C. White tile floor and white walls and cabinetry throughout—very light and bright. Ceiling fans in each room. We had a balcony the width of the apar**ent facing the rainforest (and town). It was very quiet as far as street noise. The master bedroom was in the middle and had windows to the living room, which opened onto the balcony; the floor to ceiling glass doors and window in the living room did not have shades, but the bedroom did, so it was very easy to control the light. There is a high, horizontal window in the bedroom as well, that did let light directly into the master bedroom. Water pressure was good. Kitchen was well-equipped for our purposes: 8 coffee cups, saucers, plates, bowls, silverware, toaster and electric hot water kettle. Good refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher. 4 beach towels were provided, as were bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, soap and shampoo, as well as a small roll of paper towels. The apar**ent was large and had plenty of closet space. Living area included sofa, chairs, and breakfast table with 4 chairs. 2 chairs + small table on balcony. No bathtub, which is understandable with all the sand—but double rainheads + walls in one shower, and easily movable showerhead in the other, so that was fine. Sandy from the office was super helpful in showing us around and explaining how things worked. We pushed too many buttons and unset the A/C by accident; upon a call, she came right up to straighten us out. Location is ideal, right in the middle of town. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and pubs. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is well cared for in a great position, the apar**ents have good views. Right in the middle of excellent restaurants, close to the marina and an easy walk to the beach.

We absolutely loved our apar**ent. Spotlessly clean as well as great location. Fully appointed kitchen, right down to the coffee pods. Walking distance to beautiful look outs, parks, dining and bars. Easy communication also. Would highly recommend to others and look forward to returning.

A friend and I shared a 2 bedroom apar**ent at Saltwater late February 2022. We had a wonderful time in Port Douglas. We took in some of the unique experiences of the area (Mosman river drift and Daintree River cruise were highlights). Based at Saltwater, we were central to all that Port Douglas has to offer. Being in the Main Street, everything was within walking distance. It’s a very convenient location. The accommodation is very comfortable and modern. The decor is simple and fresh. As I was travelling with a friend, we especially appreciated that both bedrooms were comfortable, with great beds and both had their own lovely bathrooms (no fighting for bathroom time). There really was no “better room” so we were both happy. Also worth note, I snore quite a bit, so the layout of the apar**ent with both bathrooms positioned between the bedrooms meant I was not going to disturb my roomie. Capped off by a beautiful and well maintained communal pool area which was a lovely place to relax at the end of each day (especially as this was a hot and humid time of year). Jason was an amazing host and could not have made us feel more welcome. I highly recommend and will be back next time I stay in Port Douglas (which will be soon I hope!).

Saltwater is a set of apar**ents situated above a shopping centre in the main street. This gives an elevated view over the main street, and makes it a perfect location to walk everywhere. We have stayed a few times now, and tend to park in the basement and don't move our car till it's time to head back to Cairns. The apar**ents are really spacious. cleverly thought out, extremely well equipped, and spotlessly clean. There's a central pool between the two rows of apar**ents, which is a great spot to catch some sun or relax between day trips and sight seeing.

What a joy to be able to travel again and heading to Port Douglas to stay at Saltwater Luxury Apar**ents was the perfect first destination post Covid isolation and lockdowns. Jason could not have been more helpful arranging a couple of tours for my friends and I that were brilliant and the accomodation at Saltwater at the end of each day was luxurious and comfortable in an unpretentious way. It’s ideally situated to be able to access the best restaurants and bars that Port Douglas offer although after all of this, leaving the great central swimming pool was difficult! Highly recommended.

We highly recommend these apar**ents. Everything from check-in through to check-out was seamless and the apar**ents themselves were indeed luxury and very well appointed. We were located right in the centre of Port Douglas and walked everywhere we wanted to go to.
