Came with a lot of high hopes and expectations - of course it happened to rain during our trip but that wasn’t the problem because I was planning on balancing it out with food and drinks. Come to find out the food options are extremely limited especially when it’s a la cart which our dinner and lunch were. Also, full board does not mean unlimited - so get ready for small portions and tasteless foods. The mashed potatoes in the camarones (shrimp) dish I got had no butter or salt just tasted like solid plain potatoes. The shrimp were pretty small and you get like 2 pieces of sliced zucchini and 1 piece of carrot, disappointing. Then breakfast buffet could have been exciting but the beans were super salty, the plantains over cooked and almost burnt, and the tamales - well those were not tamales, let’s just say that. The potatoes they had at breakfast too were still undercooked - only 2 pieces were edible.
The room was for the most part clean - the bathroom had this strong urine smell that wouldn’t go away and the air conditioning had some trouble cooling the room. The beach view with the hammock was super nice though so I’m glad I added that option because spending time there saved this trip.
Overall - I think the pool and beach time (when not raining) is the biggest benefit for the hotel but when it’s not available this hotel has nothing to offer. You’re better off paying for other hotels that aren’t “all-inclusive” and save money plus eat better food.
